Christmas Time - Nativity Set Paper Model Collection - Part 02

This is the second part of the Nativity Set Paper Model Collection. In the almost six years of existence of the blog, I've posted more than 65 paper models of Christmas Cribs/Christmas Nativity scenes. In this series of posts I will post them again, as a way to facilitate the search for those who appreciate this kind of Christmas decoration.

Duosoundz - BoomBox And TurnTables Paper Toys - by Salazad

These two paper toys, BoomBox and TurnTables, created by the Indonesian designer Salazar, can be defined as Urban Toys and are a great way to introduce the hobby of paper modeling to the younger ones.

Estes dois paper toys, BoomBox e TurnTables, criados pelo designer indonésio Salazad, podem ser definidos como Toys Urbanos e são um ótimo jeito de apresentar o hobby do papelmodelismo aos mais jovens.

The Ephemeral Museum - The Old Yellow House Paper Model Assembled by Bartek Godai

My Polish friend, the designer and modeler Bartek "Godai" Biedrzycki built the Old Yellow House paper model and posted some photos at his Facebook page. About the Ephemeral Museum:

I "am in the paper modeling" since 2005, although I've had contact with paper models from my childhood in the 1970s, via magazines that were sold sporadically in newsagents. I remember magazines with houses to build and dioramas/playsets of airports, western forts, nativity scenes and the like. With the advent of the internet what happened was simply a revival of the papercraft hobby for me and many other people of my generation. Today I am opening a new session here on the blog, the Ephemeral Museum , which is a place where I will show some of the models that I built all these years. I would also like this to be a space where all modelers friends could show their work, so if anyone wants to participate in this "museum", just send photos of your work and a few words, if you want, to the e-mail:

All who submit their work will be published, without exceptions.


Eu "estou no papelmodelismo" desde 2005, embora eu já tivesse contato com modelos de papel desde minha infância, nos anos 1970, via revistas que eram vendidas esporadicamente em bancas de jornal. Lembro que haviam revistas com casas para montar e dioramas/playsets de aeroportos, fortes-apache, presépios e coisas do tipo. Com o advento da internet o que houve foi simplesmente um renascimento do hobby do papelmodelismo para mim e muitas outras pessoas de minha geração. Hoje eu estou inaugurando uma nova sessão aqui no blog, o Ephemeral Museum, que é um lugar aonde irei mostrar alguns dos modelos que eu construí em todos estes anos. Também gostaria que esse fosse um espaço aonde todos os amigos modelistas pudessem mostrar seus trabalhos, sendo assim, se alguém quiser participar deste "museu", basta mandar fotos de seu trabalho e algumas palavras para o e-mail abaixo:

Hauntings From Japan - Kasa-Obake And Yotsuya Ghost Paper Toysby Microsoft

"Kasa-obake is a mythical ghost or youkai in Japanese folklore. It is sometimes considered a tsukumogami that old umbrellas turn into. It is also called "karakasa-obake", "kasa-bake" and "karakasa kozō". 

It is generally an umbrella with one eye and jump around with one leg, but sometimes it have two arms or two eyes among other features, and also sometimes depicted to have a long tongue. Sometimes, but rarely, it even have two feet." 

The Ghost Of Yotsuya is a vindictive spirit. She died of disgust at being abandoned by the groom who traded her for a marriage of convenience with a wealthy woman.

Karakasa-obake ou Kasa-obake é um youkai japonês, um tsukumogami, ou seja, um espírito que origina-se de objetos com mais de 100 anos, dando-lhes vida. Os karakasa em particular são espíritos de guarda-chuvas que atingem os 100 anos. 

São geralmente representados com um olho, uma língua longa saindo de sua boca e apenas uma perna que calça uma geta, espécie de calçado japonês. Algumas vezes tem dois braços e dois olhos e raramente se apresentam com dois pés. 

O Fantasma de Yotsuya é um espírito vingativo. Ela morreu de desgosto ao ser abandonada pelo noivo que a trocou por um casamento de conveniência com uma mulher rica.
