Created by the talented designer Szigetiart and originally published at the official Pepakura Community website, this curious papercraft called “Ravage Doggy” is a great example of the creativity and technical quality often found in the international papercraft scene. Combining stylized shapes, mechanical details and a playful yet slightly menacing appearance, the model has a strong visual presence and will certainly appeal to fans of robotic creatures, science fiction and videogame-inspired characters.

The model is hosted at the Pepakura Community website, an online platform managed by Tamasoft, the Japanese company responsible for creating Pepakura Designer and Pepakura Viewer, two of the most important programs in the world of papercrafting. For many years, the Pepakura Community has served as a meeting point for designers and hobbyists from all around the world, allowing creators to publish their works, exchange experiences and share original templates in PDO format.

Unlike traditional PDF papercrafts, PDO files are interactive and can be viewed in three dimensions through the Pepakura Viewer software. This allows users to rotate the model, zoom in on specific parts and better understand the assembly process before cutting and folding the pieces. Because of this, PDO-based models are especially popular among more experienced hobbyists and designers who create detailed and complex projects.

To view and print this model, you will need the Free Version of Pepakura Viewer. When opening the file, a password request window may appear. Simply ignore it and click the option “Open with Pepakura Viewer,” which appears just below the password field. The model will open normally in viewing mode and can be printed without problems.

This beautiful papercraft of Alice Margatroid, from the famous Touhou Project universe, was created by the talented Japanese designer and model maker RageBurster. Known for producing extremely detailed anime-style papercrafts, RageBurster has become very respected among advanced papercraft enthusiasts because of the elegance, complexity and almost “collectible figure” appearance of his models. His creations usually feature flowing clothes, dynamic poses, tiny details and delicate structures that transform simple sheets of paper into true display pieces.

For those unfamiliar with the character, Alice Margatroid is one of the most popular characters from the Touhou Project series, created by the legendary Japanese developer and musician ZUN. Touhou began as a series of “bullet hell” style games, but over the years it became a huge cultural phenomenon in Japan, inspiring thousands of fan arts, animations, songs, manga, cosplay and, of course, papercrafts. Alice is portrayed as a mysterious magician specialized in controlling magical dolls and puppets, something that perfectly matches her elegant and almost theatrical visual style.

This papercraft captures all these characteristics very well. The detailed dress, the ribbons, the layered clothing and the expressive face make the model look almost like a real anime figure. Even though it is made entirely from paper, the final result has a surprisingly sophisticated appearance, especially when carefully assembled.

This papercraft is offered in two formats: one composed of five printable sheets in .PNG format and another in .PDO format, which can be viewed with the Japanese 3D program Pepakura Viewer Free Version. You can use the .PNG templates to print the model parts normally, while the PDO file works as an excellent assembly guide, since it allows you to visualize the model in 3D and freely rotate all the parts during construction. This helps a lot, especially for those who are still not very experienced with papercraft.

Because of the tiny details and the delicate parts, this model is recommended for hobbyists with some patience and experience, but the final result is certainly worth the effort. This cute miniature papercraft of Hornet, from the acclaimed videogame Hollow Knight, was created by the talented designer known as IridiumWolframium, from Iridescent Web website. Even though this is a small and relatively simple model, it perfectly captures the elegant and mysterious look of one of the most beloved characters in the game. With her iconic white mask, needle-shaped weapon and red cloak, Hornet became one of the great symbols of the Hollow Knight universe and gained a huge fanbase around the world​.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Hollow Knight was developed by the Australian independent studio Team Cherry and originally released in 2017. Mixing exploration, action and fast-paced combat in a vast underground kingdom called Hallownest, the game quickly became one of the most respected indie titles of recent years. Its hand-drawn visuals, melancholic atmosphere, memorable soundtrack and gameplay inspired by classic “Metroidvania” games helped turn Hollow Knight into a true phenomenon among videogame fans.

Hornet is one of the most important characters in the story. Agile, intelligent and extremely skilled, she appears several times during the adventure, sometimes helping and sometimes challenging the player. Her striking visual design and strong personality were so well received that she eventually earned her own game, Hollow Knight: Silksong, currently one of the most anticipated indie releases among fans of the genre.

This little papercraft occupies only one single sheet and is perfect for decorating desks, shelves, gaming setups or collections of videogame-inspired miniatures. Once assembled, the model measures approximately 8 cm tall, 5 cm wide and 4 cm deep, making it a compact and very charming display piece.

The model is available in two formats: PDF and PDO (Pepakura). Linebacker Battlemech Papercraft - Free Detailed Sci-Fi Mech PDO Download - by Punakettu

This impressive mech, called Linebacker, is a highly detailed papercraft model based on a design created by Finnish designer Punakettu, well known for his amazing sci-fi mechs and vehicle models. 

With its heavy look, full of mechanical panels, weathering effects and robust weaponry, the Linebacker strongly resembles classic battlemechs, those humanoid combat machines often seen in futuristic settings and strategy games.

The model shared here was organized and made available by the user Monkeyrum, who reposted the original PDO file and properly credits Punakettu for the outstanding modeling and texturing work, noting that without the original creator’s effort this build would not exist.

The level of detail in this mech is quite high, featuring many small parts, complex joints and textures that simulate wear, dirt and heavy battlefield use, making it a great project for experienced modelers or anyone looking for a more challenging build.

This papercraft comes in .PDO format, which means that to properly view the model in 3D, organize the parts or print the template, you will need Pepakura Viewer, a free software. At the end of this post you will find the links to download both the model and the viewer.

Metal Slug 3 Rebel Flame Tank Free Papercraft - Detailed 1/24 Scale Model - by Papermau - Download Now!

Straight from a time when video games still relied heavily on style and personality, and more specifically from the world of Metal Slug 3, here is the papercraft version of the Rebel Flame Tank, a small flamethrower-equipped vehicle that carries the distinctive and memorable look typical of the series.

I created this model using the original 3D model extracted from the game itself, which is available on the website The Models Resource, a well-known repository that gathers 3D assets extracted from both classic and modern video games, widely used by artists, fans and modelers as reference material for all kinds of projects.

Based on that model, I carefully adapted the shapes for papercraft, aiming to preserve the original proportions and overall look of the vehicle while simplifying the structure just enough to keep the assembly practical and accessible. I also chose to keep the original in-game textures, which is why some areas show noticeable pixelation. This was an intentional decision, meant to preserve the authentic appearance of the model, including the technical limitations of the era in which the game was produced.

The result is a well-balanced model with a good level of detail, especially in the tracks, the base structure and the flamethrower assembly, giving it a strong visual presence without making the build overly complex.

The model is made up of 67 individual parts, distributed across 17 printable pages, along with six pages of illustrated instructions that help guide the building process in a clear and straightforward way. Completing the set, there are also two additional pages, one in English and one in Portuguese, featuring general tips and basic information that make the model more accessible to both beginners and experienced modelers.

When printed at 100% scale on A4 or Letter size paper, the finished model measures approximately 17 to 18 cm in length, resulting in an approximate 1/24 scale. This makes it a great display piece, especially when placed alongside small figures, as shown in the third photo, where you can see the model still being assembled.

For those interested in building their own Rebel Flame Tank and downloading the free templates, as always, the files are easy and safe to access directly from Google Drive.

Direto da era em que os videogames ainda apostavam em estilo e personalidade acima de tudo, e mais precisamente do universo de Metal Slug 3, eis aqui a versão em papercraft do Rebel Flame Tank, um pequeno tanque equipado com lança-chamas que carrega aquele visual marcante e cheio de identidade típico da série.

Eu criei este modelo usando como base o modelo 3D original extraído do próprio jogo, que está disponível no site The Models Resource, um conhecido repositório que reúne modelos tridimensionais extraídos de videogames clássicos e modernos, muito utilizado por artistas, fãs e modelistas como referência para diversos tipos de projetos.

A partir desse modelo, adaptei cuidadosamente as formas para o formato em papel, buscando preservar as proporções e o visual geral do veículo original, ao mesmo tempo em que simplifiquei a estrutura na medida certa para manter a montagem prática e acessível. Optei também por manter as texturas originais do jogo, por isso em algumas partes a pixelização fica mais evidente. Essa escolha foi intencional, como uma forma de preservar o visual autêntico do modelo e até mesmo as limitações técnicas da época em que o jogo foi produzido.

O resultado é um modelo equilibrado, com bom nível de detalhamento, especialmente nas esteiras, na base e no conjunto do canhão, garantindo presença visual sem se tornar excessivamente complexo.

O modelo é composto por 67 peças individuais, distribuídas em 17 páginas com partes para impressão, além de seis páginas com instruções ilustradas que ajudam a entender o processo de montagem de forma clara e objetiva. Completando o conjunto, há ainda duas páginas adicionais, uma em inglês e outra em português, trazendo dicas de montagem e algumas informações gerais que tornam o modelo mais amigável tanto para iniciantes quanto para modelistas mais experientes.

Quando impresso em escala 100 por cento em papel A4 ou Carta, o modelo final mede aproximadamente entre 17 e 18 centímetros de comprimento, o que corresponde a uma escala próxima de 1/24. Isso faz com que ele funcione muito bem como peça de exibição, inclusive ao lado de pequenas figuras, como mostrado na terceira foto, em que se pode ver o modelo que ainda estou montando.

Metal Slug Rebel Flame Tank Free Papercraft - by Papermau Download Next Week!

After those mysterious images in the previous post, I can finally reveal what this new papercraft is all about: it’s the Rebel Flame Tank, the flamethrower tank from the rebel army that appears in Metal Slug 3D. 

Directly inspired by the iconic look from SNK’s game, this vehicle features a body based on the classic Di-Cokka, but with the turret replaced by a huge flamethrower and those two big green fuel tanks on the back, full of details that perfectly capture the cartoonish and over-the-top style of the series.

This model was born from a 3D file I found on The Models Resource, a well-known repository among video game fans that gathers models, sprites, and other resources extracted from classic games. To create this papercraft, I opened the 3D model in Pepakura Viewer. 

Using the program’s tools, I virtually unfolded the model, turning the three-dimensional mesh into several flat parts. From there, the real work began: organizing each piece on the sheets so they could be printed, cut, and assembled in the simplest and most practical way possible. After positioning all the parts, I added the glue tabs and prepared the file for the first test assembly.

The final result will take about 17 pages to print and contains approximately 46 pieces in total. As always, I tried to keep a good balance between fidelity to the original design and a build that is enjoyable to make, without making it too complicated for those who love papercrafts.

I have already printed the complete model for testing and I am now starting the beta assembly. I want to see in practice how all the pieces fit together, if any part needs adjustment, and if the modifications I’ve already made will make the process easier without changing the original appearance. Some pieces have been slightly altered by me to make gluing and alignment simpler, but always keeping the exact look the tank has in the game.

I’m attaching here some images of the 3D model so you can get a better idea of how it will look when finished, along with photos of the pieces already cut and partially assembled. I haven’t started joining everything yet because I want to document the step-by-step with photos during the assembly. That way, when the model is complete, these images will help a lot for those who want to build their own Flame Tank.

If you’re a Metal Slug fan or simply like military vehicles with a video game touch, this papercraft promises to be a really cool piece to display. As soon as I finish the assembly and make the final adjustments, I will release the free file here on the blog for everyone to download.

Este modelo nasceu a partir de um arquivo 3D que encontrei no site The Models Resource, um repositório bastante conhecido entre fãs de videogames por reunir modelos, sprites e outros recursos extraídos de jogos clássicos. Para criar este papercraft, eu peguei o modelo 3D disponível no site e o abri no programa Pepakura Viewer.

Usando as ferramentas do programa, virtualmente desmontei o modelo, transformando a malha tridimensional em várias partes planas. A partir daí começou o trabalho de organizar cada peça nas folhas de forma que pudessem ser impressas, recortadas e montadas da maneira mais simples e prática possível. Depois de posicionar todas as peças, criei as abas de colagem e preparei o arquivo para a primeira montagem de teste.

O resultado final vai ocupar cerca de 17 páginas de impressão e tem aproximadamente 46 peças no total. Como sempre, procurei manter o equilíbrio entre fidelidade ao design original e uma montagem que seja prazerosa de fazer, sem complicar demais a vida de quem gosta de papercrafts.

Eu já imprimi o modelo completo para testes e agora estou iniciando a montagem beta. Quero ver na prática como todas as peças se encaixam, se alguma parte precisa de ajuste e se as modificações que eu já fiz vão facilitar o processo sem alterar a aparência final. Algumas peças já foram alteradas por mim para tornar a colagem e o alinhamento mais simples, mas mantendo exatamente o visual que o tanque tem no jogo.

Estou anexando aqui algumas imagens do modelo em 3D para vocês terem uma ideia melhor de como ele vai ficar quando pronto, além de fotos das peças já recortadas e parcialmente montadas. Ainda não comecei a unir tudo porque quero registrar o passo a passo com fotos durante a montagem. Assim, quando o modelo estiver completo, essas imagens vão ajudar bastante quem quiser construir o próprio Flame Tank.
