The Ephemeral Museum - Copacabana Auto Service And The Old Garage Paper Models - Assembled by SergentFido

SergentFido is a Hot Wheels miniature collector and an active member of the BeamNG forum, the official community for the game BeamNG.drive, a realistic vehicle physics simulator known for its advanced damage modeling, collisions, and real-time physics. 

The forum is the main hub for players, modders, and developers to share ideas and projects. 

That’s where SergentFido started a thread called "My Little Die Casts and Town Project", where he posted the photos you see in this post. 

In them, you’ll spot the "Copacabana Auto Service" and "The Old Garage", two original papercraft models by Papermau, released between 2015 and 2017.

Both are in 1/64 scale, making them perfect for die-cast miniatures like Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Tomica, Johnny Lightning, and Greenlight Collectibles.

About the Ephemeral Museum:

I "am in the paper modeling" since 2005, although I've had contact with paper models from my childhood in the 1970s, via magazines that were sold sporadically in newsagents. 

I remember magazines with houses to build and dioramas/playsets of airports, western forts, nativity scenes and the like. 

With the advent of the internet what happened was simply a revival of the papercraft hobby for me and many other people of my generation. 

Today I am opening a new session here on the blog, the Ephemeral Museum , which is a place where I will show some of the models that I built all these years.

I would also like this to be a space where all modelers friends could show their work, so if anyone wants to participate in this "museum", just send photos of your work and a few words, if you want, to the e-mail:

Eu "estou no papelmodelismo" desde 2005, embora eu já tivesse contato com modelos de papel desde minha infância, nos anos 1970, via revistas que eram vendidas esporadicamente em bancas de jornal. 

Lembro que haviam revistas com casas para montar e dioramas/playsets de aeroportos, fortes-apache, presépios e coisas do tipo. 

Com o advento da internet o que houve foi simplesmente um renascimento do hobby do papelmodelismo para mim e muitas outras pessoas de minha geração. 

Hoje eu estou inaugurando uma nova sessão aqui no blog, o Ephemeral Museum, que é um lugar aonde irei mostrar alguns dos modelos que eu construí em todos estes anos. 

Também gostaria que esse fosse um espaço aonde todos os amigos modelistas pudessem mostrar seus trabalhos, sendo assim, se alguém quiser participar deste "museu", basta mandar fotos de seu trabalho e algumas palavras para o e-mail abaixo:

Fachwerkhaus Papercraft In 1/72 Scale For Dioramas And Wargamesby Comradesoldat

Created by the American designer and modeler Christof, also known as Comradesoldat, here are two 1/72 scale Fachwerkhäuser papercrafts. 

The Fachwerkhaus is a traditional half-timbered building style, very common in Germany and other parts of Europe, such as France (Alsace), Switzerland, and Austria. 

This architectural style features an exposed wooden framework, with the spaces between the beams filled with bricks, stones, or clay. 

Fachwerk houses typically have a distinctive look, with dark wooden beams contrasting against light-colored walls. 

They were widely used between the 15th and 18th centuries and are still preserved in many historic cities today. 

In Brazil, towns with strong German influence, such as Blumenau and Joinville, also have examples of this architectural style. 

In Germany, Fachwerkhäuser are iconic elements of historic architecture and can be found in various regions, especially in Bavaria, Hesse, Rhineland, and Lower Saxony. 

During World War II, these buildings played a significant role. Many German cities were heavily bombed, and numerous Fachwerkhäuser were destroyed. 

Some cities lost almost all of their traditional architecture, such as Dresden, Kassel, and Pforzheim, while others, like Rothenburg ob der Tauber, were partially preserved or faithfully reconstructed after the war. 

In fact, Rothenburg survived because American officials recognized its historical value and avoided a total bombing. 

After the war, many cities rebuilt their Fachwerkhäuser in the original style, as seen in Frankfurt and Hildesheim, where traditional facades that had been destroyed were restored. 

Other cities, however, opted for a more modern architectural approach, losing part of their historical identity. 

Comradesoldat is a papercraft designer specializing in historical and military models, covering a wide range of conflicts, including World War II, the Cold War, the Vietnam War, and conflicts in the Middle East. 

Additionally, he also creates models inspired by the Star Wars universe. His works are mostly in 2D style and at a 1/72 scale, making them ideal for dioramas and wargames. 

Among his models, there is a wide variety of buildings, from typical Eastern European houses to ruined factories and war-torn urban structures. 

He also designs military vehicles, such as tanks, trucks, and cannons, as well as soldier figures from different historical and fictional periods.

Criados pelo designer e modelista norte-americano Christof, também conhecido como Comradesoldat, aqui estão dois papercrafts em escala 1/72 de Fachwerkhäuser. 

A Fachwerkhaus é um tipo tradicional de construção em enxaimel, muito comum na Alemanha e em outras partes da Europa, como França (Alsácia), Suíça e Áustria. 

Esse estilo arquitetônico utiliza uma estrutura de madeira aparente, com preenchimento de tijolos, pedras ou barro entre as vigas.

As casas Fachwerk costumam ter um visual característico, com madeiramento escuro contrastando com paredes claras. 

Elas foram amplamente utilizadas entre os séculos XV e XVIII e ainda hoje são preservadas em várias cidades históricas. 

No Brasil, localidades com forte influência alemã, como Blumenau e Joinville, também possuem exemplos desse estilo. 

Na Alemanha, as Fachwerkhäuser são ícones da arquitetura histórica e podem ser encontradas em diversas regiões, especialmente na Baviera, Hessen, Renânia e Baixa Saxônia. 

Durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial, essas construções tiveram um papel marcante. Muitas cidades alemãs foram severamente bombardeadas, e diversas Fachwerkhäuser foram destruídas.

Chapel Of Saint Leonard Paper Model In Germany - 1/160 Scaleby Ausschneide Bogen

This beautiful paper model representing the Chapel of Saint Leonard consists of 151 pieces distributed across five printed sheets. 

Perfect for dioramas, RPGs, and wargames, the model of the Chapel of Saint Leonard was created by German designer and model maker Dieter Welz from the Ausschneide Bogen website and is in N scale (1/160). 

For a more refined finish, Mr. Welz recommends printing the templates on 160 gsm paper. 

The Chapel of Saint Leonard (St.-Leonhards-Kapelle) is located in the Söflingen district of Ulm, Germany. 

Consecrated in 1490, its construction may be even older, as it originally served as the parish church of the village. 

The chapel is dedicated to Saint Leonard, the patron saint of prisoners, the sick, and domestic animals. 

One of the most remarkable elements of the chapel is the painting of the high altar, created in 1754 by Söflingen painter Johann Baptist Enderle. This work depicts Saint Leonard exercising his protective role over those who seek his aid. 

Another significant feature is the mural on the chapel’s north side, restored to its original form in 1950 by artist Josef Braun from Wangen/Allgäu. 

The chapel features elements of Gothic architecture and houses frescoes and sacred artworks of great historical value. 

Söflingen, the district where it is located, is a charming area of Ulm known for its old monastery and picturesque atmosphere. 

The Ulm-Söflingen tram circuit provides easy access to this and other local attractions, making the chapel a point of interest for both the faithful and lovers of history and art. 

Interestingly, Saint Leonard was widely venerated in the Middle Ages, especially by peasants and prisoners who believed in his power of liberation. His devotion was so strong that many churches and chapels were dedicated to him throughout Europe. 

Furthermore, the Chapel of Saint Leonard in Söflingen has withstood the test of time, preserving its spiritual and artistic significance in the Ulm region.

Este belo modelo de papel que representa a Capela de São Leonardo é composto por 151 peças distribuídas em cinco folhas impressas. 

Perfeito para dioramas, RPG e wargames, o modelo da Capela de São Leonardo foi criado pelo designer e modelista alemão Dieter Welz, do site Ausschneide Bogen, e está na escala N (1/160). 

Para um acabamento mais refinado, o Sr. Welz recomenda a impressão dos templates em folhas com gramatura 160. 

A Capela de São Leonardo (St.-Leonhards-Kapelle) está localizada no bairro de Söflingen, em Ulm, Alemanha. Consagrada em 1490, sua construção pode ser ainda mais antiga, pois originalmente servia como igreja paroquial da aldeia.

O circuito de bonde de Ulm-Söflingen facilita o acesso a essa e outras atrações locais, tornando a capela um ponto de interesse tanto para fiéis quanto para apreciadores de história e arte. 

Curiosamente, São Leonardo foi amplamente venerado na Idade Média, especialmente por camponeses e prisioneiros que acreditavam em seu poder de libertação. Sua devoção era tão forte que muitas igrejas e capelas foram dedicadas a ele em diversas regiões da Europa. 

Além disso, a Capela de São Leonardo em Söflingen resistiu ao longo dos séculos, preservando sua importância espiritual e artística na região de Ulm.

Savage Wheels GTO Cars Paper Models For RPG And Wargames by Grey Wolf

Grey Wolf is a designer and board game enthusiast specializing in the Wargame style, who has developed a website to share his creations. 

The vehicle featured in the images of this post is an example of his detailed and creative work. 

He designed the vehicles known as Savage Wheels GTOs in 25/28 mm scale, intended for use in modern or post-apocalyptic RPGs, such as Deadlands: Hell on Earth and other similar games. 

On Grey Wolf's website, you will find many other papercraft models, including these same Savage Wheels GTOs in a smaller scale of 15 to 20 mm, with an even greater variety of colors and custom accessories.
