Toys In The Attic - The Swiss Wood Cabin Paper Model - by Papermau

This is the Swiss Wood Cabin, one of the first paper models I created in the far year of 2011. The original model took up three sheets, but in this revised version I was able to "squeeze" the pieces into just two sheets. 

It's all done on MsPaint and it's from a time when life was a lot less complicated and I had more time and patience to create. Anyway, good fun and good weekend everyone.

Esta é a Cabana de Madeira Suíça, um dos primeiros modelos de papel que criei no já distante ano de 2011. O modelo original ocupava três folhas, mas nesta versão revisada eu conseguí "espremer" as peças em apenas duas folhas. 

Ele foi todo feito no MsPaint e é de uma época em que a vida era bem menos complicada e eu tinha mais tempo e paciência para criar. De qualquer forma, boa diversão e bom final de semana à todos.

This is the Greek-Roman Ruins Diorama, more one paper model made with Sketchup/Pepakura/MSPaint. A good stand for miniatures in 1/25 scale or approximate. This paper model was originally posted here in the blog on June 26, 2011. I reviewed the model and made a new version in PDF format, which eliminates the chance of printing the sheets in different sizes and resolutions. Have fun!

Este é o Diorama das Ruínas Greco-Romanas, mais um modelo de papel feito em Sketchup/Pepakura/MSPaint. Um bom stand para miniaturas em escala 1/25 ou aproximada. Este modelo de papel foi originalmente postado aqui no blog no dia 26 de Junho de 2011. Eu revisei o modelo e fiz uma nova versão, em formato PDF, o que elimina a chance de imprimir as folhas em resoluções e tamanhos diferentes. Bom divertimento!

This is the Old Brazilian Sobrado. This model was one of the first paper models that I drew. It was totally created and textured in MsPaint. it was originally posted here on the blog on June 25, 2011.

Este é o Velho Sobrado Brasileiro. Este modelo de papel foi um dos primeiros modelos que eu desenhei. Ele foi totalmente criado e texturizado no MsPaint e foi originalmente postado aqui no blog em 25 de Junho de 2011.

Before the model was separated into multiple sheets in JPG format. Now they were all gathered in a single file in PDF format. This eliminates the possibility of print in different resolutions, which affects the size of the pieces.

About the Ephemeral Museum:

I "am in the paper modeling" since 2005, although I've had contact with paper models from my childhood in the 1970s, via magazines that were sold sporadically in newsagents. I remember magazines with houses to build and dioramas/playsets of airports, western forts, nativity scenes and the like. With the advent of the internet what happened was simply a revival of the papercraft hobby for me and many other people of my generation. So, this is the Ephemeral Museum , a place where I will show some of the models that I built all these years. I would also like this to be a space where all modelers friends could show their work, so if anyone wants to participate in this "museum", just send photos of your work and a few words, if you want, to the e-mail:

Eu "estou no papelmodelismo" desde 2005, embora eu já tivesse contato com modelos de papel desde minha infância, nos anos 1970, via revistas que eram vendidas esporadicamente em bancas de jornal. Lembro que haviam revistas com casas para montar e dioramas/playsets de aeroportos, fortes-apache, presépios e coisas do tipo. Com o advento da internet o que houve foi simplesmente um renascimento do hobby do papelmodelismo para mim e muitas outras pessoas de minha geração. Então, esse é o Ephemeral Museum, um lugar aonde mostrarei alguns dos modelos que eu construí em todos estes anos. Também gostaria que esse fosse um espaço aonde todos os amigos modelistas pudessem mostrar seus trabalhos, sendo assim, se alguém quiser participar deste "museu", basta mandar fotos de seu trabalho e algumas palavras para o e-mail abaixo:

As usual, I made the model available in three different formats for printing: A3, A4 and Letter, so you can choose the form that suits you best.

Como habitual ,eu fiz o modelo disponível em três formatos diferentes para impressão: A3, A4 e Carta, assim você pode escolher a forma que melhor lhe convém.

This model is also perfect for Dioramas, RPG and Wargames, and as you can see in the photo above, with some accessories becomes a great setting for games with apocalyptic or zombies themes.

About Toys In The Attic by Papermau:

Toys in the Attic is the third album by American rock band Aerosmith, released in April 1975. Is also a name of a 1963`s drama movie with Dean Martin and Geraldine Page. Now, because this is a really nice name, this will be the name of a new session of Papermau`s blog. In this session I will share old original and exclusive paper models posted more than a year here in the blog. It's a way of not letting these models get lost among over 7.000 posts in the four years of the blog.


Toys in the Attic (Brinquedos no Sotão) é o nome do terceiro album da banda norte-americana de rock Aerosmith, lançado em 1975. É também o nome de um drama para o cinema de 1963 chamado aqui no Brasil de Na Voragem das Paixões, que contava no elenco com Dean Martin (o parceiro do Rat Pack e de Jerry Lewis) e Geraldine Page. Agora, porque eu acho esse um título muito legal, Toys in the Attic será o nome de uma nova sessão do blog Papermau. Nesta sessão eu publicarei antigos modelos de papel originais e exclusivos postados há um ano ou mais. Esta é a maneira que encontrei para que estes modelos não fiquem perdidos e esquecidos entre mais de 7.000 postagens feitas em quatro anos de existência do blog.
