Neverwinter Fantasy Stronghold Fortress Diorama Papercraft by Perfect World

This papercraft comes directly from the official website of Neverwinter, a free-to-play MMORPG set in the universe of Dungeons & Dragons. The model represents a small fortress or stronghold inspired by the game’s scenery, recreating in paper one of the typical bases and structures seen in the fantasy world explored by players.

It was originally created for a contest promoted by the team behind the game. The event ended quite some time ago, having taken place in 2017, but fortunately the model files are still available for download on the official announcement page. Even though the contest has long finished, any fan of the game or papercraft enthusiast can still build their own version of this small paper fortress.

The model is presented as a 2.5D style diorama, meaning a construction that mixes flat elements with folded parts to create a sense of depth. The result is a small decorative scene reminiscent of the medieval and fantasy buildings typical of the Neverwinter universe, with towers, walls and architecture inspired by the classic aesthetics of fantasy worlds.

The model files are divided into two PDFs. The creators recommend printing one of them on 160 g paper and the other on 240 g paper for a sturdier and cleaner finish, but this is not mandatory for assembling the model. If you prefer, everything can be printed on regular cardstock without major issues.

One curious detail is that the templates inside the PDFs are interspersed with completely black pages. Because of this, one of the files appears to have eight pages and the other four. In reality, however, the entire model only uses four sheets with the actual parts. It is worth keeping this in mind before printing in order to avoid wasting ink and paper.

Another thing worth mentioning is that the download link is practically hidden at the very end of the official page, right after the contest images. To make things easier for anyone who wants to build the model, I took the liberty of adding a direct link to the papercraft files at the end of this post.

For fans of fantasy games, players of Neverwinter, or simply lovers of medieval themed papercrafts, this small diorama is a simple and very charming project, perfect for decorating a desk or accompanying other RPG miniatures.

Ele foi originalmente criado para um concurso promovido pelos responsáveis pelo jogo. O evento já terminou há bastante tempo, tendo sido realizado em 2017, mas felizmente os arquivos do modelo continuam disponíveis para download na página oficial do anúncio. Mesmo com o concurso encerrado, qualquer fã do jogo ou entusiasta de papercraft ainda pode montar sua própria versão dessa pequena fortaleza de papel.

O modelo é apresentado como um diorama em estilo 2.5D, ou seja, uma construção que mistura elementos planos com partes dobradas para criar uma sensação de profundidade. O resultado é um pequeno cenário decorativo que lembra as construções medievais e fantásticas típicas do universo de Neverwinter, com torres, muralhas e arquitetura inspirada na estética clássica dos mundos de fantasia.

Um detalhe curioso é que os templates dentro dos PDFs estão intercalados com páginas totalmente pretas. Por causa disso, um dos arquivos parece ter oito páginas e o outro quatro. Na prática, porém, o modelo completo ocupa apenas quatro folhas com as peças. Portanto, vale a pena observar isso antes de imprimir, para evitar gastar tinta e papel desnecessariamente.

Treasure Chest Papercraft With Removable Gold Treasure by Papermau - Download Now!

The treasure chest is one of those classic objects that appear in almost every adventure and RPG game, and in Final Fantasy X it is a familiar sight for any player who has explored the game’s environments in search of hidden items. With that in mind, I decided to turn one of these chests into a small functional papercraft model.

To create this model, I used a 3D file extracted directly from the game Final Fantasy X, available on the website The Models Resource, a well-known online repository that gathers models, sprites and other preserved videogame assets. The file, in .OBJ format, was opened in Pepakura Designer, where I began the process of unfolding the three-dimensional object into flat pieces that could be printed and assembled with paper.

After opening the model in Pepakura, I manually adjusted the separation of the parts, organized the glue tabs and rearranged each piece on the printable pages. This process usually involves a bit of trial and error so the final template is easy to assemble while still preserving the original shapes of the object seen in the game.

I also made a small structural adaptation to make the model functional. I created a kind of paper hinge that allows the lid to move. Once assembled, the chest can actually open and close, revealing a hollow interior that can even be used to store small objects.

To make the model more playful, I also created a removable block representing a pile of gold coins. This piece can be placed inside or removed from the chest, creating the effect of a real pirate-style treasure hidden inside the box.

The final template is organized into three sheets combined in a single PDF file. Two sheets form the structure of the box and lid, while the third contains the external textures with the metallic details and the characteristic golden lock typical of this kind of treasure chest.

As always, the idea is to offer a simple, fun and accessible model for those who enjoy papercraft, videogames and small decorative objects. Once assembled, this little treasure chest looks great on a shelf, on a work desk, or even as a curious paper container for coins, RPG dice or other small relics.

A arca do tesouro é um daqueles objetos clássicos que aparecem em praticamente todos os jogos de aventura e RPG, e em Final Fantasy X ela surge como um elemento familiar para qualquer jogador que já explorou os cenários do game em busca de itens escondidos. Pensando nisso, resolvi transformar uma dessas arcas em um pequeno papercraft funcional.

Para criar este modelo, utilizei um arquivo 3D extraído diretamente do jogo Final Fantasy X, disponibilizado no site The Models Resource, um conhecido repositório online que reúne modelos, sprites e outros assets preservados de videogames. A partir desse arquivo, no formato .OBJ, abri o modelo no Pepakura Designer e comecei o processo de desmontagem do objeto tridimensional para transformá-lo em peças planas que pudessem ser impressas e montadas em papel.

Depois de abrir o modelo no Pepakura, ajustei manualmente a separação das peças, organizei as abas de colagem e reposicionei cada parte nas folhas de impressão. Esse processo exige um pouco de tentativa e erro para que o modelo final fique fácil de montar e ao mesmo tempo mantenha as formas originais do objeto visto no jogo.

Também fiz uma pequena adaptação estrutural para tornar o modelo funcional. Criei uma espécie de dobradiça de papel que permite montar a tampa de forma móvel. Assim, quando finalizada, a arca pode realmente abrir e fechar, revelando um interior oco que pode até ser usado para guardar pequenos objetos.

Para deixar o modelo mais divertido, também criei um bloco removível representando um monte de moedas de ouro. Essa peça pode ser colocada dentro da arca ou retirada dela, criando o efeito de um verdadeiro tesouro estilo pirata escondido dentro da caixa.

O template final está organizado em três folhas reunidas em um único arquivo PDF. Duas folhas formam a estrutura da caixa e da tampa, enquanto a terceira contém as texturas externas com os detalhes metálicos e o cadeado dourado característico desse tipo de arca.

Como sempre, a ideia é oferecer um modelo simples, divertido e acessível para quem gosta de papercraft, videogames e pequenos objetos decorativos. Depois de montada, esta pequena arca do tesouro fica ótima na estante, na mesa de trabalho ou até como um curioso recipiente de papel para guardar moedas, dados de RPG ou outras pequenas relíquias.

León Cathedral Hand Drawn Papercraft With Tutorial And Templates by Storm The Castle

Created by Will Kalif, from the website Storm The Castle, this hand drawn papercraft represents a paper version of the famous León Cathedral, one of the most impressive Gothic buildings in Spain. The model is part of the large collection of creative projects freely available on the site, which gathers hundreds of tutorials, DIY projects and experiments related to crafts, history, medieval themes and hands-on creativity.

Will Kalif lives in Fall River, Massachusetts, in the United States, and has been running his websites and creative projects since the late 1990s. Over the years he has published thousands of pages of content, hundreds of videos and several books, exploring a wide variety of hobbies such as dioramas, medieval projects, crafts, astronomy, music and travel. The goal of Storm The Castle has always been to encourage creativity and the pleasure of building things with your own hands, something that is clearly reflected in his papercraft and cardboard projects.

The model presented in this tutorial was inspired by the Cathedral of Santa María de Regla, better known as León Cathedral. Built between the 13th and 14th centuries, it is considered one of the greatest examples of Spanish Gothic architecture. The building is famous for its remarkable collection of medieval stained glass windows and for its elegant structure, characterized by large windows and flying buttresses that give the interior a unique sense of lightness and luminosity.

The idea for this papercraft came after the author himself visited the city of León during a long pilgrimage through Spain, part of the traditional Camino de Santiago. Impressed by the beauty of the cathedral, he decided to recreate it as a paper model, simplifying the real building’s forms in order to create a project that could be easily assembled by anyone interested in architecture or papercrafting.

The Ephemeral Museum - VU-22 Percheron Dropship Papercraftby Christopher Roe - Assembled by Warbard

This is the second post of the Ephemeral Museum in 2026 and in it I have the honor of presenting the VU-22 Percheron, a light shuttle/dropship that looks like it came straight out of a classic science fiction universe. 

With its utilitarian lines and robust appearance, this craft conveys that sense of a functional vehicle designed to transport troops or cargo in hostile environments, yet with an elegant look that appeals to any fan of sci-fi and paper modeling. 

The model shown in the photos was built by the modeler behind the Warbard blog, who shared images of the construction process and the finished result on his website. The build is very well executed, with clean edges, well-aligned surfaces, and careful finishing that really highlights the design of the ship. 

It is always inspiring to see how a digital model gains its own personality once it passes through the hands of a skilled modeler. 

The VU-22 Percheron was created by Christopher Roe and made available for free on his website, Genet Models, as part of the Ebbles Miniatures series. 

Christopher maintains a generous collection of free models on his site, many of them featuring alternative color schemes and variations, allowing each modeler to choose the version that best suits their taste. It is a generous and well-crafted body of work that has enriched the papercraft community for years. 

This kind of indirect collaboration is one of the most beautiful aspects of our hobby. On one side, the designer who creates and shares the model. On the other, the modeler who prints, cuts, folds, and assembles it, transforming flat sheets into a three-dimensional piece full of presence. 

The result perfectly reflects the spirit of the Ephemeral Museum, a space created to celebrate these small works made of paper, patience, and dedication, which, even though ephemeral, leave a lasting impression on those who build them and those who appreciate them.

O modelo que vemos nas fotos foi montado pelo modelista responsável pelo blog Warbard, que compartilhou imagens da construção e do resultado final em seu site. A montagem ficou muito bem executada, com superfícies alinhadas, quinas limpas e um acabamento cuidadoso que valoriza bastante o design da nave. 

É sempre inspirador ver como um modelo digital ganha personalidade própria quando passa pelas mãos de um modelista experiente. 

O VU-22 Percheron foi criado por Christopher Roe e disponibilizado gratuitamente em seu site Genet Models, dentro da série Ebbles Miniatures. 

Christopher mantém em seu site uma coleção generosa de modelos gratuitos, muitos deles com variações de cores e esquemas alternativos, permitindo que cada modelista escolha a versão que mais combina com seu gosto. É um trabalho generoso e muito bem elaborado, que há anos vem enriquecendo a comunidade de papercraft. 

Este tipo de colaboração indireta é uma das coisas mais bonitas do nosso hobby. De um lado, o criador que projeta e compartilha o modelo. Do outro, o modelista que imprime, corta, dobra e monta, transformando folhas planas em uma peça tridimensional cheia de presença. 

O resultado é exatamente o espírito do Ephemeral Museum, um espaço para celebrar essas pequenas obras feitas de papel, paciência e dedicação, que mesmo sendo efêmeras, deixam uma marca duradoura em quem as constrói e em quem as aprecia.

I have been involved with papermodeling since 2005, although I had already been in contact with paper models since my childhood, back in the 1970s, through magazines that were occasionally sold at newsstands. 

I remember there were magazines with houses to build and dioramas or playsets of airports, Apache forts, nativity scenes, and things like that. 

With the advent of the internet, what happened was simply a rebirth of the papermodeling hobby for me and for many other people of my generation. 

This section, the Ephemeral Museum, is a place where I intend to show some of the models I have built over all these years.

Altes Postdörfle In Ulm Paper Model In 1/160 Scale - by Dieter Welz

Offered by Wediul-Kartonmodelle, this beautiful paper model recreates the historic Altes Postdörfle, a residential complex built between 1907 and 1912 in the city of Ulm, Germany. 

The model is based on the original complex constructed to house postal workers and their families, preserving typical early 20th-century architectural features such as detailed façades, sloped roofs, and carefully reproduced windows. 

The model represents the Altes Postdörfle with great accuracy and was specially designed for railway modeling in N and M scales 1/160. Once assembled, it measures approximately 44.5 cm in length, 12.5 cm in depth, and 19 cm in height, dimensions that ensure a strong visual presence in any urban diorama. 

The project was also designed to allow internal LED lighting, a feature that enhances the architectural details even further when integrated into nighttime layouts. 

The complete papercraft occupies 20 sheets, and for best results the author recommends printing on 160 g/m² paper. From the number of pages alone, it is clear that this is a richly detailed project. With hundreds of individual components, this model is recommended for modelers who appreciate realistic and highly detailed constructions, with numerous cutouts, layered sections, and structural elements.

Middle East House Papercraft - Version 02 - by Papermau Download Now!

This is the Middle East House Papercraft, Version 02, a model that continues the proposal presented here on the blog a few days ago and is now finally available for download. 

It is a small building inspired by traditional Middle Eastern architecture, featuring simple shapes, well-defined volumes and details that evoke old houses from historic villages in the region. 

The model includes stone-textured walls, arched doors and windows, and a taller main volume topped with a discreet dome that gives the building its own character. Este é o Papercraft da Casa do Oriente Médio, Versão 02, um modelo que dá continuidade à proposta apresentada alguns dias atrás aqui no blog, agora finalmente disponível para download. 

Trata-se de uma pequena construção inspirada na arquitetura tradicional do Oriente Médio, trazendo formas simples, volumes bem definidos e detalhes que remetem a casas antigas de vilarejos históricos da região. 

O modelo mantém paredes com aparência de pedra, portas e janelas em arco e um corpo principal mais alto, coroado por uma cúpula discreta que dá identidade ao conjunto. Essa cúpula não está ali apenas por razões estéticas, pois na arquitetura real ela também cumpre a função de ajudar a reduzir o calor no interior da habitação, favorecendo a circulação do ar e tornando o ambiente mais agradável em regiões de clima quente. 

O papercraft foi pensado para ser agradável de montar e visualmente equilibrado, funcionando bem tanto como peça única quanto integrado a dioramas, cenários urbanos ou composições temáticas relacionadas ao Oriente Médio.
