Easy-To-Build Fiat 500 Paper Model In 1/35 Scale - by Kamino-SS

This paper model of a classic first generation Fiat 500 was created by Japanese designer and model maker Hiroaki "Haruto" Kawamura, from the Kamino-SS website.

This vehicle is famous in Japan for being the favorite car of Lupine III, or Lupine Third, the main character of a famous Japanese anime and manga franchise of the same name created by the publisher Monkey Punch in 1967.

Mr. Kawamura says that the scale of this car is 1/35 and to facilitate assembly, the curved surfaces of the body are expressed through drawing and not actual curves.

This was done on purpose so that the entire structure could be reduced to one simple piece so that even those who are new to papercraft could assemble it. He adds that this simplified assembly pattern requires less paper and saves printing ink.

Mr. Hiroaki "Haruto" Kawamura says in his public profile that he was born in 1968 and has been working with paper crafts since 2006.

He says that fortunately, or unfortunately, there was a period in which, as he had little time to work, he concentrated in designing papercrafts in the most efficient way possible and with an emphasis on ease of assembly.

He also says that at first, he created papercrafts as a hobby while maintaining his regular job, but now, due to various connections, he has become a professional artist and designs paper crafts for commercial use.

I want to give credit and thanks to my friend John Wagenseil, from the Paper Modelers forum, as it was thanks to his thread "Web Page with Collection of Paper Model Sites" that I came up with this papercraft.

If you liked this papercraft and want to see more finds like this, I'll leave the link to John's thread, as he is always adding new models to his already huge thread, most of the time very difficult to find.

1955`s Volkswagen Draisine Paper Model In 1/35 Scale
by Paper Diorama

This paper model in 1/35 scale of a Volkswagen Draisine was created by the talented team of designers at Paper Diorama in Italy.

The entire model occupies three printed sheets, including the stand, and although there are no instructions, assembly is very easy and intuitive.

With the end of the Second World War, the railway structure left by the III Reich (Reichsbahn) began to be managed by the occupation forces in their respective areas of occupation, each in their own way.

But later, on the western side of Germany, after the unification of these structures and after the creation of the Federal Republic of Germany, the DB – Deutsche Bundesbahn — German Federal Railway — emerged on September 7, 1949.

Over many years, these railways used a variety of vehicles, including converted Kombis (vans) and other vehicles equipped with air-cooled VW Boxer engines.

These vehicles were adapted to meet the specific needs of railways, performing different functions, such as freight transport, maintenance and track inspection.

Kombis, known for their versatility, were often modified to meet railway requirements, providing mobility and carrying capacity.

Air-cooled VW Boxer engines were popular due to their simplicity and robustness, characteristics important for railway operating conditions.

These vehicles played essential roles in the German railway infrastructure, contributing to operational efficiency and proper maintenance of railway lines.

However, over time many of these vehicles were gradually replaced by more modern and specialized solutions as rail technology evolved.

Citroen Acadiane Firefighters Vehicle Paper Model In 1/35 Scale
by Paper Diorama

This very well-made papercraft version in 1/35 scale of a Citroën Acadiane in a firefighting configuration was created by the talented design team from Paper Diorama website, from Italy.

The entire vehicle occupies just one printed sheet, and there's one more sheet with an optional stand.

The Citroën Acadiane is a small commercial vehicle derived from the Dyane and only available in left-hand drive, produced from 1977 to 1987.

Production totalled 253.393 units. Citroën had already used the prefix AK for its light commercials, so it was an obvious pun to name the AK Dyane “Acadiane” (similar pronunciation in French).

A produção totalizou 253.393 unidades.

OceanGate Titan Submersible Paper Model In 1/35 Scale - by Tekzo

Tekzo, from My Hobby Craft website, is a designer and modeler from Jakarta, Indonesia and the author of this perfect paper model version in 1/35 scale of the OceanGate Titan submersible.

The model is free, it only takes up three printed sheets, and Tekzo was kind enough to provide detailed instructions with many step-by-step photos that will leave no doubt for anyone who wants to build their own Titan.

On June 18, 2023, the Titan submersible, operated by OceanGate Expeditions, disappeared in the North Atlantic Ocean while carrying tourists to see the wreckage of the Titanic near the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.

With a capacity for five people, the submersible had a breathable air supply for up to 4 days. Search and rescue teams, including the United States Coast Guard, the United States Navy, the Canadian Coast Guard, and other resources, conducted intensive operations.

After nearly 80 hours of searching, it was confirmed that the wreckage of the Titan was found approximately 488 meters from the bow of the Titanic.

It is presumed that the vessel imploded during or after the descent, resulting in the instant death of everyone on board.
