More One Old House Paper Model - by Papermau - Beta Version Assembling The Model - Part 05

Here we are with the fifth part of the assembly the paper model of the Old House. On the previous post I had said that we would start putting all the pieces together, so, lets go!

No post anterior eu havia dito que começaríamos a colocar todas as peças juntas, então, vamos lá!

On the images above and below, you can see the work of reinforcement of the walls, using cardboard, a lot of cardboard. This is important if you do not want your little house begin to warp over time. What's more, if it's to do, let's do it well, or go build Lego kits.

Isso é importante, se você não quiser que sua pequena casa comece a empenar com o passar do tempo. Além do mais, se é para fazer, que seja bem feito, senão é melhor ir montar kits de Lego.

We must not forget to reinforce the structure of the roof too (iamges below).

The roof. And here the problems began. As I drew this template on MsPaint, I did most of the work in 2D, then assembling the 3D model on SketchUp. When I drew the roof, I absentmindedly put the chimney flue on the wrong side. The result can be seen in the image below. I had to redraw and print again.

E aqui começaram os problemas. Como eu desenhei este modelo no MsPaint, eu fiz a maioria do trabalho em 2D, montando depois o modelo em 3D no Sketchup. Quando desenhei o telhado, distraidamente coloquei o vão da chaminé do lado errado. O resultado pode ser visto na imagem abaixo. Tive que redesenhar e imprimir novamente.

I printed another roof with the right side of the chimney, and when I glued it, again distractedly I strapped it on the wrong side, with the chimney going to the side of the stairs. I had to "pull it out" with care. Fortunately, as the model had been reinforced on the walls and lining, there was no major damage to the structure. Even so, I decided to stop here for today. More soon.
...............................................................................................................................................................................Imprimí outro telhado com o lado certo da chaminé e quando fui colá-lo, novamente por distração colei do lado errado, com o vão da chaminé para o lado da escada. Tive que "arrancá-lo" com cuidado. Por sorte, como o modelo havia sido reforçado nas paredes e no forro, não houve grandes estragos na estrutura. Mesmo assim, eu resolvi parar por aqui por hoje. Mais em breve.

Ao olhar para as imagens, a primeira impressão é: "oh, é muito difícil construir esta casa de palitos de picolé", mas com os templates e com o video-tutorial muito bem detalhado, qualquer pessoa que realmente queira, consegue montar uma igualzinha. 

Acho que esse tutorial será bem apreciado pelos entusiástas dos Wargames e quando eu tiver tempo, vou tentar montar uma para mim.

The Mausoleum Of King Theodoric Paper Model In 1/150 Scaleby Ondřej Hejl

Created by the Czech designer Ondřej Hejl and unbelievably occupying only one sheet of paper, this is the paper model in 1/150 scale of the Mausoleum of Theodoric, the mysterious Italian building commissioned by King Theodoric in AD 520 as his last resting place. This is an example of the late-building style of antiquity - the monumental size of the building represents the power and spirit of King Theodoric. The two-story building used huge blocks imported from Istria. The building is covered by a huge monolith with about 11 meters in diameter and weighing more than 300 tons. It is one of the largest monoliths used in the world as a dome.

Criado pelo designer tcheco Ondřej Hejl e incrivelmente ocupando apenas uma folha de papel, este é o modelo de papel na escala 1/150 do Mausoléu de Teodorico, o misterioso edifício italiano encomendado pelo Rei Teodorico no ano 520 AD, como seu último local de descanso. Este é um exemplo do estilo de construção do final da antiguidade - o tamanho monumental do edifício representa o poder e o espírito do rei Teodorico. O prédio de dois andares é feito de enormes blocos importados de Istria. O edifício é coberto por um enorme monólito com cerca de 11 metros de diâmetro e pesando mais de 300 toneladas. É um dos maiores monólitos usados no mundo como cúpula.

About the Ephemeral Museum:

I "am in the paper modeling" since 2005, although I've had contact with paper models from my childhood in the 1970s, via magazines that were sold sporadically in newsagents. I remember magazines with houses to build and dioramas/playsets of airports, western forts, nativity scenes and the like. With the advent of the internet what happened was simply a revival of the papercraft hobby for me and many other people of my generation. Today I am opening a new session here on the blog, the Ephemeral Museum , which is a place where I will show some of the models that I built all these years. I would also like this to be a space where all modelers friends could show their work, so if anyone wants to participate in this "museum", just send photos of your work and a few words, if you want, to the e-mail:

Eu "estou no papelmodelismo" desde 2005, embora eu já tivesse contato com modelos de papel desde minha infância, nos anos 1970, via revistas que eram vendidas esporadicamente em bancas de jornal. Lembro que haviam revistas com casas para montar e dioramas/playsets de aeroportos, fortes-apache, presépios e coisas do tipo. Com o advento da internet o que houve foi simplesmente um renascimento do hobby do papelmodelismo para mim e muitas outras pessoas de minha geração. Hoje eu estou inaugurando uma nova sessão aqui no blog, o Ephemeral Museum, que é um lugar aonde irei mostrar alguns dos modelos que eu construí em todos estes anos. Também gostaria que esse fosse um espaço aonde todos os amigos modelistas pudessem mostrar seus trabalhos, sendo assim, se alguém quiser participar deste "museu", basta mandar fotos de seu trabalho e algumas palavras para o e-mail abaixo:
