Kempenich And Niederzissen Railway Station Papercraft In 1/87 Scaleby F-ES-B Modellbau

While browsing the F-ES-B Modellbau blog, already featured here on Papermau in several posts, I came across a papercraft that will definitely please anyone who enjoys railway buildings and models inspired by real places. 

The model represents the old Kempenich station, together with Niederzissen station, both connected to the traditional Brohltalbahn, a small German railway full of charm and history. It is the kind of model that stands out not only for its looks, but also for the story behind it. 

According to the author, his interest in Kempenich station had been there for a long time, until one cold winter day he decided to visit the place in person, taking photos and closely observing the building’s details.

A Scandinavian Windmill Recreated In Papercraft - by Gunnar Svendén

This papercraft available on the Bildrum website represents the historic windmill known as the Pilot Hill Mill, located on the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea, more precisely near the harbour of Slite in Sweden. 

The model is based on a real Dutch-type windmill with a rotating cap, built in the early 19th century, which still preserves much of its original structure and machinery, even though it has been out of use for more than a hundred years. 

The mill stands on top of a hill called Lotsbacken, or Pilot Hill, a strategic location that has served several purposes over the centuries beyond grain milling. 

The hill was used as a lookout point for maritime pilots guiding ships to the important harbour of Slite, and before these pilots had a dedicated watch house, the mill itself provided shelter during bad weather. 

Due to its elevated position and clear visibility from the sea, the mill also worked as an effective navigation landmark, almost like an improvised beacon. 

The paper model is designed in 1/100 scale, a common choice for architectural papercrafts and well suited for use in dioramas or historical scenes. 

The entire model fits on a single printed sheet, making it a compact, economical and relatively quick build, while still offering a faithful visual representation of the original structure, including the cylindrical body, the characteristic roof and the four sails of the mill.

O modelo é inspirado em um moinho real do tipo holandês, com topo giratório, construído no início do século XIX e que ainda hoje conserva grande parte de sua estrutura e maquinaria original, mesmo estando fora de uso há mais de cem anos.

This is the iconic Fujiwara Tofu Shop from the anime Initial D, a classic building instantly recognizable to any fan of this famous Japanese series. 

The author Mini Mania offers a free papercraft that recreates the well known tofu shop in 1/64 scale, suitable for displaying diecast vehicles such as Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning, GreenLight, Majorette and similar brands, making it a perfect addition to drift themed dioramas or small car collections. 

The template is provided through Google Drive, but it is protected by a password. To make things more interesting, this password is hidden somewhere in the tutorial video. 

Mini Mania does not specify whether it is a single word or a combination of letters and numbers scattered throughout the video, turning the process into a kind of digital treasure hunt. To access the templates, viewers must watch the video with extra attention. 

The design has good visual presence without requiring a large number of parts, which makes the project accessible and pleasant to build.

Even after revisiting the video several times, I was not able to find the password. At the beginning, the author writes some letters and numbers with a pen, but I tested that sequence in several ways and it does not unlock the template.

Apesar de ter revisitado o vídeo diversas vezes, eu mesmo não consegui encontrar a senha. Logo no começo o autor escreve algumas letras e números com caneta, mas eu tentei essa sequência de várias formas e ele não desbloqueia o template. 

Sendo assim, deixo aqui um desafio para os leitores do blog: se você conseguir descobrir a senha assistindo ao tutorial, sinta-se à vontade para deixar um comentário com alguma dica, mas respeitando a vontade do autor, sem revelar a senha diretamente, para ajudar outros modelistas que também desejam montar a icônica Fujiwara Tofu Shop.

Marginalia Castle Papercraft - A Medieval Fantasy Model by Storm The Castle

Last week I posted here on the blog a papercraft castle, the Starry Night Castle, inspired by the art of Van Gogh. 

Today I bring another castle by the same author, Will, from the Storm The Castle website, this time featuring a project that is just as creative but with a completely different concept. 

This is the Marginalia Castle, a model inspired by the curious illustrations found in the margins of medieval manuscripts, known as marginalia, filled with unusual figures and imaginative details. 

The model comes as a 29 page PDF, including about 12 pages dedicated to the structural parts of the castle and additional pages with characters and creatures that complement the scene. 

Although the exact scale is not specified, the final size works well for dioramas and for those who enjoy fantasy themed models in smaller scales. 

The author recommends heavier paper for best results, but regular paper can be reinforced with thin cardboard. 

Storm The Castle is maintained by Will himself and hosts hundreds of original paper projects, always accompanied by detailed instructions, videos and supporting content. 

The Marginalia Castle follows this tradition, offering an accessible model with a distinctive, whimsical medieval look.

For papercraft enthusiasts who appreciate medieval themes with a more artistic and playful touch, this model is a welcome addition to any collection.

Semana passada eu publiquei aqui no blog um papercraft de um castelo, o Starry Night Castle, baseado na arte de Van Gogh. 

Hoje trago outro castelo do mesmo autor, Will, do site Storm The Castle, que desta vez apresenta um projeto igualmente criativo e com um conceito totalmente diferente. 

Trata se do Marginalia Castle, um castelo inspirado nas curiosas ilustrações que apareciam nas margens dos manuscritos medievais, conhecidas como marginalia, cheias de figuras peculiares e detalhes fantasiosos. 

O modelo é oferecido em um arquivo PDF com 29 páginas, incluindo cerca de 12 páginas dedicadas às partes estruturais do castelo e mais algumas páginas extras com personagens e criaturas que complementam o cenário. 

Embora não haja indicação precisa de escala, o tamanho final é adequado para dioramas e para quem trabalha com modelos de fantasia em escalas reduzidas. 

O autor recomenda papel mais espesso para um melhor resultado, mas é possível reforçar com cartolina se usar papel comum.
