Los Luchadores Series - El Sr. Roboto Paper Toy - by Mr. Manolo

Spanning two printed pages, this paper toy of a lucha libre wrestler called Sr. Roboto was created in 2009 by the Mexican designer and model maker Mr. Manolo from the Paper City website. 

It is part of the series Los Luchadores, a fun collection that celebrates the bold and exaggerated style of Mexican wrestling. Mr. Manolo’s website has not been updated since 2011, but all of his models are still available for free download on 4Shared. 

To download, you need to create a 4Shared account or log in using an existing profile such as Google, Facebook or Apple. Creating an account or signing in with one of these profiles is completely free. After that, the download is released normally, usually after a short wait of about 20 seconds while the site displays ads. 

Lucha libre, the Mexican style of professional wrestling, emerged in the early 20th century and became more popular in the 1930s with its fast, acrobatic and highly theatrical matches. 

Over time it became a cultural symbol of Mexico, mixing sport, spectacle and folklore, almost like live comic book storytelling with heroes and villains competing for the audience’s attention. 

Its most iconic feature is the mask, a symbol of strength, mystery and identity. The costumes are colorful, shiny and intentionally exaggerated, designed to highlight each luchador’s unique style. 

The result is an explosive show filled with leaps, dives and larger than life characters that have made lucha libre one of the most distinctive spectacles in the world.

Ocupando duas folhas impressas, este paper toy de um lutador de lucha libre, o Sr. Roboto, foi criado em 2009 pelo designer e modelista mexicano Mr. Manolo, do site Paper City. 

Ele faz parte da série “Los Luchadores”, uma coleção divertida que celebra o estilo vibrante e exagerado da luta livre mexicana. 

O site de Mr. Manolo não é atualizado desde 2011, mas todos os modelos permanecem disponíveis para download gratuito via 4Shared.

In a collaboration between Japanese designer Ayumu Saito and Craft Pocket Studio, exclusively for the Canon Creative Park website, here is a cute paper toy of a Mexican Salamander. You will need only one sheet of paper to build yours. 

The Mexican salamander, or axolotl, is a captivating amphibian found only in the dwindling waters of Xochimilco’s ancient lake system in Mexico. 

Its charming look, with a slender body, feathery external gills, and a near-human smile, has made it a global favorite. 

Unlike most amphibians, the axolotl skips complete metamorphosis, staying in its larval stage for life, a rare trait called neoteny. 

Sadly, it’s critically endangered due to pollution, urban sprawl, and invasive species, making its survival a pressing concern. 

One mind-blowing fact about the axolotl is its regenerative superpower. It can regrow not just limbs but also vital organs like the heart, lungs, and even parts of its brain, all without scarring, sparking intense scientific interest for potential human applications. 

Another striking feature is its lifespan: in captivity, axolotls can live up to 15 years, a remarkable feat for an amphibian. 

Their color palette is a visual treat, while wild axolotls are typically brown or black, captive ones come in stunning shades like albino, golden, and even bubblegum pink (like the papercraft presented here), looking like creatures from a whimsical storybook.

Em uma colaboração entre o designer japonês Ayumu Saito e Craft Pocket Studio, exclusivamente para o site da Canon Creative Park, aqui é um belo paper toy de uma Salamandra Mexicana. Você precisará de apenas uma folha de papel para montar a sua. 

A salamandra mexicana, também conhecida como axolote, é um anfíbio fascinante que vive exclusivamente nas águas remanescentes do antigo sistema de lagos de Xochimilco, no México. 

Com sua aparência adorável, corpo alongado, brânquias externas que parecem plumas e um sorriso quase humano, o axolote conquistou corações ao redor do mundo. 

Diferente de outros anfíbios, ele não passa por uma metamorfose completa, permanecendo na forma larval durante toda a vida, o que o torna um exemplo único de neotenia. 

Infelizmente, está criticamente ameaçado devido à poluição, urbanização e espécies invasoras, o que faz com que sua preservação seja um tema urgente.

OZ-13MS Gundam Epyon Custom Car Papercraft - by Arnel Querido

A Tudor Cottage Paper Model - by Richard "SiriusArtWorks" Cherry

Mas desta vez, ele nos presenteia com algo diferente: uma charmosa casa de campo em estilo Tudor, chamada simplesmente de Tudor Cottage.

1990s Honda NSX - A Classic Japanese Supercar Paper Model by Mega8960

Spanning four printed pages, this highly detailed paper model of the Honda NSX was created by the talented Mexican designer and model maker Mega8960. 

The model is available in two formats: PDF and PDO (Pepakura). You can use the PDF to print the parts, and the PDO file as a building guide, since it allows you to view the model in 3D.

Released in 1990, the Honda NSX (sold as the Acura NSX in the United States) is a revolutionary Japanese sports car. 

It was the first production vehicle with a full aluminum body and was developed with input from the legendary Ayrton Senna. 

The NSX was designed to challenge European supercars by delivering top-tier performance paired with reliability and daily usability, a rare combination among sports cars at the time. 

One of Senna’s most notable contributions was in fine-tuning the suspension. After test-driving the car, he recommended increasing the chassis stiffness. Honda followed his advice, resulting in the precise handling that would become a trademark of the NSX. 

Offering performance on par with Ferraris but at a much more affordable price and with lower maintenance costs, the NSX changed how the world perceived Japanese cars. 

In fact, during the development of the iconic McLaren F1, designer Gordon Murray cited the NSX as a benchmark for ride and handling balance. Not bad for a “regular” road-going sports car.
