Some Original Papermau Projects For 2026

This project, the Black Mesa Monorail Tram from Half Life, has already been featured on this blog in five posts spanning from April 2024 to September 2025.

In the last post, I announced that the model would be published in October 2025, but due to a number of factors, I ended up not finishing this project. This year I intend to finish it and publish it here on the blog.

This small stand for minifigures is perfect for displaying your medieval figures or RPG and wargame characters. When printed on A4 paper, the model is at the ideal scale for 33mm figures.

This is the 3D version of a much simpler stand for 1/64 scale vehicles that was published here on the blog a few years ago. The gluing of the various pieces together on 2mm thick cardboard creates a very cool relief effect.

Essa é a versão 3D de um stand bem mais simples para veículos em 1/64 que foi publicado aqui no blog há alguns anos atrás. A colagem das várias peças em papel cartão de 2 mm dá um efeito muito legal de relevo.

There's not much to say about this model; it's an urban stand, a sort of vignette for minifigures. I haven't decided on the scale yet.

The Ephemeral Museum - A WW2`s Style House Somewhere In Europe - Assembled by Ullie46

While searching on Google for ideas for new models, I ended up coming across an original Papermau papercraft that I published here on the blog back in January 2017. 

The model was built by a modeler named Ullie46, who shared a few photos in a thread on the German forum Der Lustige Modellbau, which can be loosely translated as “The Funny Model Building Forum.” 

The model in question is the papercraft A House in the Second World War Style Somewhere in Europe, and in this post you can see some of the photos that Ullie46 published there. 

In his text on the forum post, he explains that the approximate scale is 1/75 and that the door height of 26 mm corresponds to about 1.95 meters in real scale. 

He points out that the house offers the option to build recessed doors and windows, which creates a very nice three-dimensional effect. 

Ullie46 also enhanced the areas with deteriorated plaster by gluing a second wall over them, with the stone sections carefully cut out, and mentions that, at that moment, he was adding the roof tiles, row by row. 

He also said that he intends to add gutters and downpipes and then touch up the plaster with white paint to give the model an even more realistic finish.

Buscando no Google por ideias para novos modelos, acabei me deparando com um papercraft original Papermau que publiquei aqui no blog em janeiro de 2017. 

O modelo foi montado por um modelista chamado Ullie46, que publicou algumas fotos em uma thread no fórum alemão Der Lustige Modellbau, que pode ser traduzido livremente como “A Divertida Construção de Modelos”. 

O modelo em questão é o papercraft Uma Casa no Estilo Segunda Grande Guerra em Algum Lugar da Europa e, neste post, você pode conferir algumas das fotos que Ullie46 compartilhou por lá. 

Em seu texto no post do fórum, ele comenta que a escala aproximada é 1/75 e que a altura da porta, de 26 mm, corresponde a cerca de 1,95 metro na escala real. 

Ele destaca que a casa oferece a opção de construir portas e janelas embutidas, o que cria um efeito tridimensional muito bonito. 

Ullie46 também realçou as áreas com reboco deteriorado colando uma segunda parede sobre elas, com as seções de pedra recortadas, e comenta que, naquele momento, estava adicionando as telhas, fileira por fileira. 

Ele disse ainda que pretende acrescentar calhas e tubos de queda e, em seguida, retocar o reboco com tinta branca para dar um acabamento ainda mais realista ao conjunto.

About the Ephemeral Museum: I have been involved with papermodeling since 2005, although I had already been in contact with paper models since my childhood, back in the 1970s, through magazines that were occasionally sold at newsstands. 

I remember there were magazines with houses to build and dioramas or playsets of airports, Apache forts, nativity scenes, and things like that. 

With the advent of the internet, what happened was simply a rebirth of the papermodeling hobby for me and for many other people of my generation. 

This section, the Ephemeral Museum, is a place where I intend to show some of the models I have built over all these years. 

I would also like this to be a space where fellow modelers can share their own work.

Eu estou no papelmodelismo desde 2005, embora já tivesse contato com modelos de papel desde a infância, lá nos anos 1970, por meio de revistas que eram vendidas esporadicamente em bancas de jornal. 

Lembro que existiam revistas com casas para montar e dioramas ou playsets de aeroportos, fortes Apache, presépios e coisas do tipo. 

Com o advento da internet, o que houve foi simplesmente um renascimento do hobby do papelmodelismo para mim e para muitas outras pessoas da minha geração. 

Esta seção, o Ephemeral Museum, é um espaço onde pretendo mostrar alguns dos modelos que construí ao longo de todos esses anos. 

Também gostaria que este fosse um lugar onde amigos modelistas pudessem mostrar seus próprios trabalhos.

Hollow Knight - The Kight Miniature Paper Toy - by IridiumWolframium

Created by the Russian designer and paper modeler IridiumWolframium, from the IridescentWeb website, this papercraft is a perfect miniature recreation of the Knight from the video game Hollow Knight. 

The model faithfully captures the look of the main character from Team Cherry’s acclaimed game, known for its melancholic atmosphere, minimalist art style, and memorable characters. Even at a reduced scale, the Knight retains its iconic shape, with the distinctive hood and proportions that immediately evoke the game’s universe.

The entire model fits on just one sheet of paper, making it very accessible for printing, although the assembly requires care and patience due to the small size of the parts. The final result is a compact three-dimensional figure, approximately seven centimeters tall, ideal for display on desks, shelves, or alongside other paper miniatures. 

You will find the model available in two formats: PDF and PDO (Pepakura), so you can use the PDF to print the parts and the PDO as an assembly guide, since it allows you to view the model in 3D. If you do not yet have the Pepakura Viewer Free Version, the link to download it can be found at the end of this post. This combination greatly facilitates the building process, especially for those who like to follow the assembly while viewing the model virtually. 

The IridescentWeb website works as a repository for IridiumWolframium’s original creations, bringing together various papercrafts with strong inspiration drawn from video games, stylized characters, and experimental paper projects. It is one of those spaces worth exploring calmly, both for the originality of the models and for the attention to detail. 

This Mini Knight is an excellent example of how a digital character can be transformed into an elegant and expressive physical object using only paper, glue, and a bit of manual skill.

Criado pela designer e modelista russa IridiumWolframium, do site IridescentWeb, este papercraft é uma perfeita recriação em miniatura do Knight do videogame Hollow Knight. 

O modelo captura com muita fidelidade o visual do personagem principal do aclamado jogo da Team Cherry, conhecido por sua atmosfera melancólica, arte minimalista e personagens marcantes. Mesmo em escala reduzida, o Knight mantém seu formato icônico, com o capuz característico e proporções que remetem imediatamente ao universo do game. 

Todo o modelo cabe em apenas uma folha de papel, o que o torna bastante acessível para impressão, embora a montagem exija atenção e paciência devido ao tamanho reduzido das peças. O resultado final é uma figura tridimensional compacta, com cerca de sete centímetros de altura, ideal para exposição em mesas, prateleiras ou junto a outras miniaturas de papel. 

Você encontrará o modelo em dois formatos: PDF e PDO (Pepakura), então você pode usar o PDF para imprimir as peças e o PDO como guia de montagem, já que com ele você pode visualizar o modelo em 3D. É um daqueles espaços que valem a visita com calma, tanto pela originalidade dos modelos quanto pela dedicação aos detalhes. 

Este Mini Knight é um ótimo exemplo de como é possível transformar um personagem digital em um objeto físico elegante e expressivo usando apenas papel, cola e um pouco de habilidade manual.

Star Wars: Galaxy Of Heroes - C-3PO Papercraft - by Sunto2

This impressive C-3PO papercraft is inspired by the iconic droid from the Star Wars saga and was created from a three-dimensional model extracted from the game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, a free-to-play mobile game available for Android and iOS, built around a collectible RPG system in which well-known characters from the Star Wars universe face each other in turn-based strategic battles. 

The appearance of C-3PO follows this game version closely, with well-balanced proportions and clearly defined details that translate very well into paper form. 

The model was edited and carefully unfolded by Juraj Sáska, also known as Sunto2, an author who is quite active within the papercraft community, especially on DeviantArt, the platform where this work is hosted. 

The complete model takes up twelve A4 sheets and, once printed, cut, and assembled, results in a nicely sized figure measuring approximately 40 centimeters in height, 17.5 centimeters in width, and 9.0 centimeters in depth, giving it a strong visual presence in any Star Wars or pop culture collection. 

The level of detail is high, yet the model maintains a logical and well-organized construction, typical of designs intended for Pepakura assembly. It is best suited for builders with some experience, although patient beginners can also achieve excellent results. 

The golden surfaces of the character, with their distinctive mechanical panel lines, look particularly appealing when printed on heavier paper. 

To view and print this model, you will need the free version of Pepakura Viewer. When opening the file, the software may ask for a password, but this can be safely ignored by clicking the option to open it with Pepakura Viewer, which appears just below the password field.

DeviantArt, where this papercraft is available, remains one of the largest platforms for digital art and papercraft on the internet, bringing together independent artists, 3D modelers, and fans who share original works and creative adaptations of famous characters, such as this excellent paper version of C-3PO.

Este impressionante papercraft do C-3PO é inspirado no famoso droide da saga Star Wars e foi criado a partir de um modelo tridimensional extraído do jogo Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes. Trata-se de um game gratuito para dispositivos móveis, disponível para Android e iOS, no estilo RPG colecionável, onde personagens icônicos do universo Star Wars se enfrentam em batalhas estratégicas por turnos. 

O visual do C-3PO segue exatamente essa versão do jogo, com proporções e detalhes bem definidos que funcionam muito bem quando transportados para o papel. 

O modelo foi editado e cuidadosamente desdobrado por Juraj Sáska, também conhecido como Sunto2, um autor bastante ativo na comunidade de papercraft, especialmente no DeviantArt, plataforma onde este trabalho está hospedado. 

O conjunto ocupa doze folhas em papel A4 e, depois de impresso, recortado e montado, resulta em uma peça de bom porte, medindo aproximadamente 40 centímetros de altura, 17,5 de largura e 9,0 de profundidade, o que garante presença marcante em qualquer coleção dedicada a Star Wars ou a personagens da cultura pop. 

O nível de detalhamento é elevado, mas o modelo mantém uma construção lógica, típica dos trabalhos pensados para montagem em Pepakura, sendo indicado para modelistas com alguma experiência, embora montadores mais pacientes também consigam um ótimo resultado. 

As superfícies douradas do personagem, com suas divisões mecânicas características, ficam especialmente interessantes quando impressas em papel de boa gramatura.

Middle East House Papercraft - Version 02 - by Papermau Download Now!

This is the Middle East House Papercraft, Version 02, a model that continues the proposal presented here on the blog a few days ago and is now finally available for download. 

It is a small building inspired by traditional Middle Eastern architecture, featuring simple shapes, well-defined volumes and details that evoke old houses from historic villages in the region. 

The model includes stone-textured walls, arched doors and windows, and a taller main volume topped with a discreet dome that gives the building its own character. This dome is not included only for aesthetic reasons, as in real architecture it also helps reduce heat inside the house by improving air circulation, making the interior more comfortable in hot climates. 

The papercraft was designed to be pleasant to build and visually balanced, working well both as a standalone piece and as part of dioramas, urban scenes or themed compositions related to the Middle East. 

The complete model fits on three printed sheets, offering a good level of detail without making the build complex or tiring.

Este é o Papercraft da Casa do Oriente Médio, Versão 02, um modelo que dá continuidade à proposta apresentada alguns dias atrás aqui no blog, agora finalmente disponível para download. 

Trata-se de uma pequena construção inspirada na arquitetura tradicional do Oriente Médio, trazendo formas simples, volumes bem definidos e detalhes que remetem a casas antigas de vilarejos históricos da região. 

O modelo mantém paredes com aparência de pedra, portas e janelas em arco e um corpo principal mais alto, coroado por uma cúpula discreta que dá identidade ao conjunto. Essa cúpula não está ali apenas por razões estéticas, pois na arquitetura real ela também cumpre a função de ajudar a reduzir o calor no interior da habitação, favorecendo a circulação do ar e tornando o ambiente mais agradável em regiões de clima quente. 

O papercraft foi pensado para ser agradável de montar e visualmente equilibrado, funcionando bem tanto como peça única quanto integrado a dioramas, cenários urbanos ou composições temáticas relacionadas ao Oriente Médio.
