Miniature Fox Decorative Low Poly Papercraft - Version III - by Canon

Offered by Canon Japan's website, here is the second version of a charming low poly decorative paper model of a fox. 

Previously, Canon had already made this model available in a combination of two colors and also in three colors (green, purple and white). 

Now, it returns in a new version, also in three colors, but now in pink, black and white. 

Interestingly, unlike usual, the company did not disclose the name of the designer responsible for this papercraft. 

Low poly papercraft is a paper art technique that uses simple geometric shapes, such as triangles and polygons, to create three-dimensional models with a modern and minimalist look. 

Inspired by the graphic style of low-resolution three-dimensional objects in computing, low poly brings a stylized look, with clean and faceted lines. 

These projects are popular for their contemporary aesthetic and because, despite their sophisticated appearance, they can be made with affordable materials, such as paper or cardboard, being ideal for decoration and creative design.

Oferecido pelo site da Canon Japão, eis aqui a segunda versão de um encantador modelo de papel decorativo em estilo low poly de uma raposa. 

Anteriormente, a Canon já havia disponibilizado este modelo em uma combinação de duas cores e também de três cores (verde, roxo e branco). 

Agora, ele retorna em uma nova versão, também de três cores, mas agora nas cores rosa, preto e branco. 

Curiosamente, diferente do habitual, a empresa não divulgou o nome do designer responsável por este papercraft. 

O papercraft em low poly é uma técnica de arte em papel que utiliza formas geométricas simples, como triângulos e polígonos, para criar modelos tridimensionais com um visual moderno e minimalista. 

Inspirado no estilo gráfico de objetos tridimensionais de baixa resolução em computação, o low poly traz um aspecto estilizado, com linhas limpas e facetadas. 

Esses projetos são populares por sua estética contemporânea e porque, apesar de sua aparência sofisticada, podem ser feitos com materiais acessíveis, como papel ou cartolina, sendo ideais para decoração e design criativo.

Railroad Tycoon - Fenton Movie Theater Paper Model - by PapermauDownload This Week!

Another model inspired by textures taken from the Railroad Tycoon PC game. This time, I used the textures from the Fenton Movie Theater (third image in this post). 

For now, just a few images. If everything goes as planned, I will publish the model here on the blog by the end of this week.

Railroad Tycoon - Tycoon Warehouse Paper Model For Dioramas And Wargames - by Papermau - Download Now!

I created this papercraft of a generic warehouse using textures from the 3D train simulator Railroad Tycoon 3. 

I only had the model's textures (image right below), without an image of the assembled building, so I relied on my imagination to bring the project to life. 

You can see the final result in the images of this post, and if you like it, you can download the templates to build your own warehouse, perfect for dioramas or wargames. 

The textures were sourced from the Textures Resource website (link at the end of this post), a community of gamers dedicated to collecting and cataloging video game textures from various platforms, both for computers and consoles. 

Although these textures are typically used for game modifications, as you can see here, they are also great for papercrafts. Just add a little creativity.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the Textures Resource community and especially the user Eldomtom2, who captured the texture used in this model. 

The entire warehouse fits on just two printed sheets and can be easily and safely downloaded directly from Google Drive.

Criei este papercraft de um armazém genérico utilizando texturas tiradas do simulador de trem 3D Railroad Tycoon 3. 

Eu tinha apenas as texturas do modelo (imagem logo abaixo), sem uma imagem do prédio montado, então recorri à imaginação para dar forma ao projeto. 

O resultado você pode conferir nas imagens deste post e, se gostar, pode baixar os templates para montar seu próprio armazém, perfeito para dioramas ou wargames. 

As texturas foram obtidas no site Textures Resource (link no final do post), uma comunidade de gamers dedicada a coletar e catalogar texturas de videogames de diversas plataformas, tanto para computadores quanto para consoles. 

Embora essas texturas sejam geralmente usadas para modificações em jogos, como você pode ver aqui, elas também são ótimas para papercrafts. Basta um pouco de criatividade.

Shepherd's Crossing Portable - Brammy The Duck Miniature Paper Toy by Tatsuhiro Akama

Created by Japanese designer and model maker Tatsuhiro Akama, this is the paper toy of the charming little duck Brammy from the video game Youkoso Hitsuji Mura Portable (Shepherd's Crossing Portable). 

Brammy is a friendly duck who wears a straw hat and carries a basket on his back with a bottle of wine. 

In the game, he serves as the player's guide, providing directions for new missions and received items, making him an essential companion in farm management. 

Youkoso Hitsuji Mura Portable is a farming simulation game released for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) in 2012. 

It is part of the Hitsuji Mura series (Shepherd’s Crossing in the West), known for offering a more authentic rural life experience, focusing on animal husbandry and farming without requiring a strict linear progression. 

Unlike Harvest Moon or Stardew Valley, Youkoso Hitsuji Mura emphasizes resource management and animal care in a more organic way. 

Players must manage the farm, grow crops, and take care of animals, especially sheep, which play a central role in the gameplay. 

Instead of simply buying supplies from a store, players must trade and barter goods, creating a survival dynamic based on self-sufficiency.

In the West, the Youkoso Hitsuji Mura series was released under the name Shepherd’s Crossing. The first Western version arrived on PlayStation 2 in 2007 and later on Nintendo DS in 2008. 

However, Shepherd’s Crossing Portable (the PSP version) was never officially released outside Japan, making it a rare and cult favorite among fans of the genre.

Brammy é um pato simpático que usa um chapéu de palha e carrega uma cesta nas costas com uma garrafa de vinho. 

No jogo, ele atua como guia do jogador, fornecendo orientações sobre novas missões e itens recebidos, tornando-se um companheiro essencial na administração da fazenda. 

Youkoso Hitsuji Mura Portable é um jogo de simulação de fazenda lançado para o PlayStation Portable (PSP) em 2012. 

Ele faz parte da série Hitsuji Mura (Shepherd’s Crossing no Ocidente), conhecida por proporcionar uma experiência de vida rural mais autêntica, focada na criação de animais e no cultivo, sem a necessidade de seguir uma progressão linear rígida.

A Watermill From The Good Old Days - A Danish Vintage Papercraft by Illustreret Familie-Journal - Preserved And Shared by Esben Rasmussen

This papercraft, which reproduces "A Watermill from the Good Old Days", was originally published between 1926 and 1940 in a magazine called Illustreret Familie-Journal. 

It has been preserved and is now kindly shared by Esben Rasmussen, a paper model enthusiast who has contributed significantly to the preservation and digitization of historical cutouts, including those from Illustreret Familie-Journal. 

On the introduction sheet of this papercraft, it is written in Danish: 

"This new paper model, representing an old and picturesque watermill, can be movable, as the large moss-covered wheel can be kept in motion with the help of an extremely simple sand mechanism, embedded at the top of the mill's cane. Read the explanation on the back of the template before cutting it out." 

Unfortunately, it seems that the sheet with the instructions for this enigmatic sand mechanism has been lost over time. 

However, the remaining sheets that make up the model explain that this mechanism is optional and does not interfere with the assembly of the mill. 

I assembled it virtually in SketchUp and was amazed by the precision with which the pieces fit together. 

It is truly impressive how this model was designed in an era when everything was done by hand, without the aid of computers. 

I imagine it required mathematical calculations and many trial and error attempts before achieving the beautiful result we can see in the images of this post. 

The Illustreret Familie-Journal was a Danish publication known for producing popular illustrated magazines between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. 

Founded in 1877 by Carl Aller, the magazine offered a wide range of content, including serialized stories, illustrations, informative articles, and often, cutouts and paper toys for its readers. 

Because it was financially accessible, it became very popular among middle-class and working-class families. 

More than just a magazine, Illustreret Familie-Journal was a milestone in the Danish publishing industry and European popular culture of its time. 

It was particularly known for its detailed paper models, which included castles, scenes, and everyday objects. 

The magazine regularly featured cutout pages designed for both children and adults. These paper toys often represented elements of everyday life, historical figures, and famous structures. 

In addition to entertainment, the cutouts also had an educational purpose, helping to develop assembly and precision skills. 

The illustrations were detailed and, when possible, colorful, created by talented graphic artists using lithographic techniques. 

Many editions included complex models that allowed the creation of entire scenes, such as villages, ships, and even three-dimensional replicas of iconic buildings. 

The Illustreret Familie-Journal was one of the first publications to popularize cutouts in Scandinavia, influencing generations of children and collectors. 

Despite its Danish origin, the magazine reached international markets, with translations and adaptations of its content into other languages. 

Even after more than a century, many copies of the magazine and its cutouts have been preserved and are now collector’s items, cherished by papercraft enthusiasts, paper history researchers, and vintage design admirers.

Este papercraft, que reproduz "Um Moinho de Água dos Bons e Velhos Tempos", foi originalmente publicado entre 1926 e 1940 em uma revista chamada Illustreret Familie-Journal. 

Ele foi preservado e agora é gentilmente compartilhado por Esben Rasmussen, um entusiasta de modelos de papel que tem contribuído significativamente para a preservação e digitalização de recortáveis históricos, incluindo os da Illustreret Familie-Journal. 

Na folha de apresentação deste papercraft, está escrito em dinamarquês:

Infelizmente, parece que a folha com as instruções para esse enigmático mecanismo de areia se perdeu no tempo. 

No entanto, as demais folhas que compõem o modelo explicam que esse mecanismo é opcional e não interfere na montagem do moinho. 

Eu o montei virtualmente no SketchUp e fiquei admirado com a precisão com que as peças se encaixam. 

É realmente impressionante a forma como este modelo foi projetado em uma época em que tudo era feito à mão, sem o auxílio de computadores. 

Imagino que tenha exigido cálculos matemáticos e muitas tentativas e erros até se chegar ao belo resultado que podemos ver nas imagens deste post. 

A Illustreret Familie-Journal era uma publicação dinamarquesa que se destacou por produzir revistas ilustradas populares entre o final do século XIX e o início do século XX. 

Fundada em 1877 por Carl Aller, a revista oferecia uma ampla variedade de conteúdos, como histórias em série, ilustrações, artigos informativos e, frequentemente, recortáveis e brinquedos de papel para seus leitores.

Muitas edições incluíam modelos complexos que permitiam a criação de cenas inteiras, como vilas, navios e até maquetes tridimensionais de edifícios icônicos. 

A Illustreret Familie-Journal foi uma das primeiras publicações a popularizar recortáveis na Escandinávia, influenciando gerações de crianças e colecionadores. 

Apesar de sua origem dinamarquesa, a revista conquistou mercados internacionais, com traduções e adaptações de seu conteúdo para outros idiomas. 

Mesmo após mais de um século, muitos exemplares da revista e seus recortáveis foram preservados e hoje são itens de colecionador, apreciados por entusiastas do papercraft, da história do papel e do design vintage.
