French Workshop Diorama Papercraft For Slot Cars And Miniatures by Carrera4Fun

Created by the German slot car enthusiast and designer F. Rehberg, from the Carrera4Fun website, this excellent French automotive workshop diorama was specially designed for 1/32 scale slot car tracks, but it can also be used in many other types of miniature and slot car scenery.

And, since we are talking about the wonderful hobby of papercraft, with a little knowledge about resizing, or even with some patience, trial and error, this model can also be adapted to other scales, including 1/64, the popular scale of famous diecast brands such as Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Greenlight and similar vehicles.

The model represents a small neighborhood workshop called “Talbot Service”, featuring simple architecture, weathered textures and that classic European appearance that immediately brings to mind the small garages and roadside repair shops commonly seen across France during the 1960s and 1970s.

The most interesting thing about this project is that it is not limited to the exterior building alone. The author created a construction full of small structural details and three-dimensional elements that greatly improve the final realism of the diorama. The assembly photos clearly show how doors, windows, interior walls, roof sections and signs are layered together, creating depth without making the construction overly complicated.

Another very nice detail is that the model features a partially decorated interior, allowing the inside environment to be seen through the front windows. This makes a huge difference when the model is used on slot car layouts, since the vehicles usually run very close to the buildings and the interior details become highly visible. The workshop also features vintage signs, small advertisements and very well-made aged textures, reinforcing the nostalgic atmosphere of the entire scene.

Besides the original 1/32 scale version, ideal for Carrera tracks and other slot car systems, the website also offers a second enlarged 1/24 scale version, perfect for larger miniatures and more detailed automotive dioramas. This makes the project very versatile, allowing each modeler to choose the version that best fits their collection.

Another very positive point is that the tutorial presented on the page is extremely detailed. The author shows virtually every step of the construction process through clear photographs and illustrated explanations, making this project accessible even for beginners in the hobby.

E, como estamos falando do maravilhoso hobby do papercraft, com um pouco de conhecimento em redimensionamento, ou mesmo com alguma paciência, testes e tentativas, este modelo também pode ser adaptado para outras escalas, inclusive 1/64, a popular escala dos famosos carrinhos Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Greenlight e similares.

The Underground Neon Shelter One-Sheet Papercraft - by Papermau Download Now!

Today I am happy to share another original model created especially for fans of cyberpunk aesthetics, futuristic cities and small urban dioramas: The Underground Neon Shelter, a one-sheet papercraft. 

Despite fitting entirely on a single printed page, this small model is packed with details, layered signs, industrial textures, cables, pipes, glowing panels and all those visual elements that immediately bring to mind the atmosphere of a futuristic megacity inspired by classic cyberpunk movies and games, but here condensed into a modest little house.

The model was designed to be easy to assemble, even for beginners, while still maintaining a rich and detailed appearance once completed. The front façade, as well as the sides and the back, are filled with Japanese signs, neon lights and technological equipment scattered across the walls, revealing an industrial and decaying look with ventilation ducts, electrical boxes, old pipes and exposed metallic structures.

In the small fictional universe imagined for this miniature, the Underground Neon Shelter is located somewhere forgotten inside Sector 12, one of the oldest districts of a gigantic metropolis where the rain never seems to stop and daylight can barely pass through the maze of skyscrapers above. 

Hidden inside a narrow alley illuminated only by flickering fluorescent lights, this improvised shelter eventually became a temporary refuge for hackers, illegal couriers and time travelers trying to escape the surveillance systems controlling the city and its timeless portals.

According to rumors spread through the underground networks, the owner of the shelter is an old retired technician who once worked for one of the massive corporations responsible for controlling the city. He is extremely old and nobody remembers his real name anymore. 

Some say he performs illegal cybernetic implant repairs in the back room of the building. Others believe the place secretly serves as a meeting point for resistance groups exchanging encrypted data chips and forbidden information during the night. 

There are also those who claim he may already be implanting his own memories into a next-generation android while waiting for mech-medicine to evolve enough to allow the complete transfer of his mind into an artificially grown organic body.

Whatever story you choose to imagine, this compact model can help create a cyberpunk atmosphere without taking much space and can be used as a standalone display piece, part of a futuristic street scene or combined with miniature vehicles and small-scale figures. And of course, as always, the download is free, easy and safe, directly from Google Drive.

Apesar de ocupar apenas uma folha impressa, este pequeno modelo é recheado de detalhes, placas sobrepostas, texturas industriais, cabos, tubulações, painéis luminosos e todos aqueles elementos visuais que nos remetem à atmosfera de uma megacidade futurista inspirada em filmes e jogos clássicos do gênero cyberpunk, mas aqui encapsulada em uma modesta casinha.

O modelo foi pensado para ter montagem simples, acessível até mesmo para iniciantes, mas sem abrir mão de uma aparência rica em detalhes quando montado. A fachada frontal, assim como as laterais e os fundos, são repletos de letreiros em japonês, luminosos e equipamentos tecnológicos espalhados pelas paredes, revelando um visual industrial e decadente, com dutos de ventilação, caixas elétricas, canos antigos e estruturas metálicas aparentes.

No pequeno universo imaginado para esta miniatura, o Underground Neon Shelter está localizado em algum ponto esquecido do Setor 12, um dos bairros mais antigos de uma gigantesca metrópole onde a chuva nunca parece parar e a luz do dia quase não consegue atravessar o emaranhado de arranha-céus acima. 

Escondido em um beco estreito iluminado apenas por luzes fluorescentes piscando sem parar, este abrigo improvisado acabou se tornando um ponto de passagem para hackers, entregadores clandestinos e viajantes do tempo tentando escapar dos sistemas de vigilância que controlam a cidade e os portais atemporais.

Segundo os rumores espalhados pelas redes subterrâneas, o proprietário do abrigo é um antigo técnico aposentado que trabalhou para uma das grandes corporações responsáveis pelo controle da cidade. Ele é muito velho e ninguém mais sabe seu verdadeiro nome. 

Alguns dizem que ele realiza reparos ilegais de implantes cibernéticos nos fundos do prédio.Outros acreditam que o local serve como ponto secreto de encontro para grupos de resistência que trocam chips de dados criptografados e informações proibidas durante a madrugada. 

Há também quem afirme que ele pode até mesmo implantar suas memórias em um andróide de última geração até que a meca-medicina evolua a ponto de permitir que sua mente seja transferida para um corpo orgânico criado artificialmente em laboratório.

Não importa a história que você invente, este modelo compacto pode ajudar a criar uma atmosfera cyberpunk sem ocupar muito espaço e ser usado como peça isolada de exposição, parte de uma rua futurista ou combinado com veículos e miniaturas em pequena escala. The model represents a classic market wagon, with an aged wooden structure and a fabric cover that imitates tanned leather, giving it a very convincing rustic look. Restaurants Around The World - 01 - English Pub Papercraft by Papermau - Download Now!

Today I am very happy to officially introduce a brand new original collection here at Papermau: the World Food Street Papercraft Series. The idea behind this new series is to create small restaurants, bars, pubs and diners inspired by some of the most traditional and iconic foods from different countries around the world, always in a compact format that fits on a single printed sheet and is easy to assemble, even for beginners in the hobby.

Each model in this series will try to represent not only the typical cuisine of a country, but also a little of the visual and cultural atmosphere of those places. Depending on local traditions, some models will be classic restaurants, while others may become pubs, diners, cafés, taverns or small street food establishments, always trying to capture that distinctive atmosphere that instantly makes us recognize each culture.

Besides the traditional foods, the series will also pay special attention to facades, signs, shop windows, posters and the characteristic colors of each place. All models will feature vibrant visuals, lots of illustrated details and that compact miniature urban diorama style that I really enjoy creating here at Papermau.

Among the models already planned for future posts are a Japanese restaurant, an Italian trattoria, a Thai restaurant, a classic American diner, a Brazilian restaurant and several other establishments inspired by different parts of the world. The idea is that, little by little, this collection will form a kind of international gastronomic street in papercraft form.

And here is another interesting detail: this series is being created in creative partnership with my AI friend, who has been helping me experiment with new combinations of colors, styles, textures and ideas for the facades.

It has been a very fun and inspiring experience, mixing my original papercraft structures with new visual possibilities generated through this collaboration.

And to officially open this new collection, the first model in the series is a traditional English Pub.

English pubs first appeared hundreds of years ago as community gathering places, where people would meet not only to eat and drink, but also to talk, listen to music and follow local events.

Many traditional pubs have historical names connected to the British monarchy, heraldic animals or old medieval symbols. Another interesting fact is that dishes such as fish and chips, shepherd’s pie and meat pies became classics largely because they were extremely popular in these establishments over the decades.

A ideia desta nova série é criar pequenos restaurantes, bares, pubs e lanchonetes inspirados nas comidas mais tradicionais e icônicas de diferentes países ao redor do mundo, sempre em formato compacto, ocupando apenas uma folha impressa e com montagem fácil, acessível até mesmo para iniciantes no hobby.

Cada modelo desta série buscará representar não apenas a culinária típica de um país, mas também um pouco da atmosfera visual e cultural desses lugares. Entre os modelos já planejados para os próximos posts estão um restaurante japonês, uma trattoria italiana, um restaurante tailandês, um diner americano clássico, um restaurante brasileiro e vários outros estabelecimentos inspirados em diferentes partes do mundo. A ideia é que, aos poucos, esta coleção forme uma espécie de pequena rua gastronômica internacional em papercraft.

E tem mais uma curiosidade interessante: esta série está sendo criada em parceria criativa com minha amiga IA, que vem me ajudando a experimentar novas combinações de cores, estilos, texturas e ideias para as fachadas. 

Tem sido uma experiência muito divertida e inspiradora, misturando minhas estruturas originais em papercraft com novas possibilidades visuais geradas a partir dessa colaboração.

E para inaugurar oficialmente esta nova coleção, o primeiro modelo da série é um tradicional English Pub. 

Os pubs ingleses surgiram há centenas de anos como pontos de encontro comunitários, onde as pessoas se reuniam não apenas para comer e beber, mas também para conversar, ouvir música e acompanhar eventos locais. 

Muitos pubs tradicionais possuem nomes históricos ligados à monarquia britânica, animais heráldicos ou antigos símbolos medievais. Outra curiosidade é que pratos como fish and chips, shepherd’s pie e meat pies acabaram se tornando clássicos justamente por serem muito populares nesses estabelecimentos ao longo das décadas.

Conduit 2 Portal Papercraft - Lost Sega Promotional Model From 2011

Today I have the pleasure of sharing here on Papermau a slightly different and very nostalgic papercraft: the Conduit 2 Portal Papercraft, originally published on Sega’s old official website in April of 2011 as promotional material for the videogame Conduit 2.

Unfortunately, the old Sega portal where this model could once be found has been offline for many years, and much of this promotional material has practically disappeared from the internet.

Luckily, I had this PDF saved on an old pen drive along with other vintage papercraft and videogame-related files. So I decided to recover and share the model here on the blog before it disappears forever.

The original PDF occupies only two printed sheets and builds into an interesting sci-fi portal filled with technological details and that classic early-2000s science fiction aesthetic.

Even being a relatively simple model to assemble, it may greatly appeal to fans of tabletop RPGs, wargames and sci-fi dioramas. The portal works perfectly as a scenery element for futuristic games, representing dimensional gateways, teleporters, alien passages or technological devices in miniature battles and gaming campaigns.

Conduit 2 was released exclusively for the Nintendo Wii in 2011, developed by High Voltage Software and published by Sega. The game is a science fiction-themed FPS (First Person Shooter) full of conspiracies and interdimensional threats, serving as the direct sequel to The Conduit.

In the story, players control agent Michael Ford while facing alien invasions, secret organizations and interdimensional dangers across several locations around the world. The so-called “Conduits” function exactly as dimensional portals used for transportation, invasions and access to hidden areas throughout the campaign.

As a historical curiosity, I am also attaching in this post a screenshot of the original Sega page where this papercraft was first published back in 2011. I managed to find this page thanks to the Wayback Machine, the famous service that archives old versions of websites that no longer exist.

Besides the direct Google Drive link for downloading the PDF, I will also leave the archived link to the original page for anyone curious to see what Sega’s website looked like during that era.

More than fifteen years later, this small portal still has a very interesting look and can certainly gain a new life on RPG tables, miniature scenery setups or simply in the collection of any fan of retro videogames and papercrafts.

Hoje tenho o prazer de compartilhar aqui no Papermau um papercraft um pouco diferente e bastante nostálgico: o Conduit 2 Portal Papercraft, originalmente publicado no antigo site oficial da Sega em abril de 2011 como material promocional do videogame Conduit 2.

Infelizmente, o antigo portal da Sega onde este modelo era encontrado já não existe mais há muitos anos, e grande parte desse material promocional acabou praticamente desaparecendo da internet.

Por sorte, eu tinha este PDF salvo em um velho pen drive junto com outros arquivos antigos relacionados a papercrafts e videogames. Então resolvi recuperar e compartilhar o modelo aqui no blog antes que ele desapareça de vez.

O PDF original ocupa apenas duas folhas impressas e monta um interessante portal sci-fi cheio de detalhes tecnológicos e com aquele visual típico das ficções científicas dos anos 2000.

Mesmo sendo um modelo relativamente simples de montar, ele pode agradar bastante o pessoal que gosta de RPG de mesa, wargames e dioramas sci-fi. O portal funciona perfeitamente como elemento de cenário para jogos futuristas, podendo representar portais dimensionais, teletransportadores, passagens alienígenas ou dispositivos tecnológicos em campanhas e batalhas de miniaturas.

Conduit 2 foi lançado exclusivamente para o Nintendo Wii em 2011, desenvolvido pela High Voltage Software e publicado pela Sega. O jogo é um FPS (First Person Shooter) com temática de ficção científica e conspirações, servindo como sequência direta de The Conduit.

Na história, o jogador controla o agente Michael Ford enfrentando invasões alienígenas, organizações secretas e ameaças interdimensionais em vários cenários espalhados pelo mundo. Os chamados “Conduits” funcionam justamente como portais dimensionais usados para transporte, invasões e acesso a áreas ocultas durante a campanha.

Por curiosidade histórica, também estou anexando neste post um print da página original da Sega onde este papercraft foi publicado em 2011. Consegui encontrar esta página graças ao Wayback Machine, aquele famoso serviço que arquiva versões antigas de sites que já não existem mais.

Além do link direto para download do PDF via Google Drive, também vou deixar o link da página original arquivada para quem quiser ver como era o site da Sega naquela época.

Mais de quinze anos depois, este pequeno portal continua com um visual muito interessante e certamente pode ganhar uma nova vida nas mesas de RPG, cenários de miniaturas ou simplesmente na coleção de qualquer fã de videogames e papercrafts retrô.
