22 Years Of Haunted Dimensions - An Amazing Haunted House Papercraft Collection - by Ray Keim

This Halloween 2026, we have a great reason to revisit a true internet classic. Haunted Dimensions, created by American artist Ray Keim in September 2004, has just celebrated its 22nd anniversary. That's more than two decades dedicated to haunted houses, Victorian architecture, theme park attractions, and, above all, paper models that anyone can download and build for free.

In the section called Paper Model Purgatory, Ray has gathered an impressive collection of papercrafts, including Disney's famous Haunted Mansions in their Liberty Square, New Orleans Square, and Phantom Manor versions. There are also buildings inspired by horror movies and television series, such as Psycho, Amityville, Halloween, and It, along with models based on attractions from Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights. The collection also includes tombstones, entrance gates, coffins, and other small accessories that can be used to create Halloween scenes and dioramas.

One of the most interesting things about these models is how Ray manages to recreate elaborate buildings entirely out of paper, using printed textures that simulate wood, bricks, weathered roofs, and architectural details. Some projects are relatively simple, while others require many hours of work, but they all retain that special charm of traditional papercrafts.

Over the years, Ray's work has also gone beyond the internet. In 2023, for example, he was involved in a project connected to an exhibition at the Contemporary Art Museum in Bordeaux, France, featuring a model of the infamous Murder Castle, associated with H. H. Holmes. His paper models have also inspired gingerbread constructions, showing how a simple paper template can take on entirely different forms.

Perhaps the most admirable thing is that, after all these years, Ray continues to share his creations for free. He also invites visitors who appreciate his work to consider making a voluntary donation to help support the project.

If you enjoy Halloween, old architecture, or simply great papercrafts, Haunted Dimensions is definitely worth exploring. It's a wonderful journey through the history of papercraft on the internet and a fine example of how creativity, talent, and generosity can continue to inspire new generations.

Zombie In A Barrel Papercraft - Download This Week At Papermau!

This is the Zombie in a Barrel papercraft, created in 2011 and originally published on the blog in 2012. For many years, the model was lost, as I had misplaced the original templates.

Fortunately, thanks to the generosity of my friend Revell-Fan, a member of the Zealot Hobby Forum, the papercraft could come back to life!

He kept a copy of the files and kindly shared them with me, allowing me to republish the model here on the blog.

So, sometime this week, Zombie in the Barrel will be available for download.

IT - Neibolt Street House Paper Model - by Haunted Dimensions

American designer and modeler Ray Keim, creator of the website Haunted Dimensions, has released another one of his amazing haunted house papercrafts, this time inspired by the Neibolt Street house, one of the most iconic locations from the 2017 film IT, based on the famous novel by Stephen King.

On the model's page, Ray Keim features a quote taken directly from King’s original book to highlight the eerie importance of the house in the story:

“This house was a special place, a kind of station, one of the places in Derry, perhaps, in which It was able to find Its way into the overworld. This stinking rotted house where everything was somehow wrong.”

The papercraft is loosely based on the house design as seen in the 2017 movie. As Keim explains, the model does not portray the entire structure, only the front facade, which is more than enough to convey the gothic and decaying atmosphere of the building.

Although the exact scale is not specified, it's likely close to 1/64, based on Keim’s previous works,  such as his famous Haunted Mansion models inspired by the Disney attraction. This scale is very common among model railroaders and miniature collectors, including Hot Wheels fans.

Ray Keim is widely known for his free, detailed, and stylized paper models, all with a gothic, mysterious flair. Through Haunted Dimensions, he offers a unique collection of haunted mansions, horror-themed buildings, and classic theme park architecture, all available as free downloads.

The Neibolt Street house is yet another memorable addition to this impressive catalog, a real treat for horror fans, Stephen King enthusiasts, and, of course, papercraft lovers.
