The Tari Merak Indonesian Dancers Paper Dolls - by Salazad

Indonesian designer Salazad, creator of these two beautiful paper dolls, says: - "The Tari Merak or Peacock dance is a female dance. Merak means peacock and the choreography is inspired by the beautiful movements of a peacock. Raden Tjetje Somantri, who was one of the most important choreographers who created Sundanese style dances in this period, created the choreography of the Tari Merak in the 1950’s. In 1965, Dra. Irawati Durban Ardjo, a teacher of a dance academy in Bandung, West Java, created a new choreography with altered movements, structures, music and costumes. This dance shows an imagination of a peacock’s life in a form of a dance. The gestures of a peacock are beautifully blend together with the classical movements of the Sundanese dance and thus making the dance a colorful expression of the proud peacock, which is showing its beautiful feathers."

O designer indonésio Salazad, autor destas belas paper dolls, diz: - "A dança Tari Merak ou Dança do Pavão é uma dança feminina. Merak significa pavão e a coreografia é inspirada nos belos movimentos de um pavão. Raden Tjetje Somantri, que foi um dos coreógrafos mais importantes que criaram danças de estilo Sundanês neste período, criou a coreografia do Tari Merak na década de 1950. Em 1965, a Dra. Irawati Durban Ardjo, uma professora de uma academia de dança em Bandung, West Java, criou uma nova coreografia com movimentos alterados, estruturas, música e figurino. Esta dança mostra como seria a vida de um pavão em forma de dança. Os gestos do pavão são delicadamente mesclados os movimentos clássicos da dança Sudanesa, fazendo da dança uma expressão colorida do pavão orgulhoso, exibindo suas belas penas."

De um videogame indonésio, estes são os Angkot paper toys, criados pelo designer Salazar. O termo "angkot" é derivado das palavras angkutan kota, ou transporte urbano e é usado para descrever os pequenos micro-ônibus que aterrorizam as ruas de muitas cidades da Indonésia.

Petronas Twin Towers In Malaysia Paper Model - by Epson

The Petronas Towers, also known as the Petronas Twin Towers, are twin skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

According to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat official definition and ranking, they were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 and remain the tallest twin towers in the world. 

The buildings are a landmark of Kuala Lumpur, along with nearby Kuala Lumpur Tower.  

This paper model is offered by Epson and the beautiful model you see on the images above, was assembled by a modeler called Saburo, from Skyscrapercity forum.

As Petronas Twin Towers ou Torres Petronas são dois arranha-céus edificados na cidade de Kuala Lumpur, Malásia. 

Foi concluído em 1998, tem 88 andares e actualmente é o sexto edifício mais alto do mundo (pronto), com 452 metros (1.483 pés). As torres foram projetadas pelo arquiteto Cesar Pelli, configuradas por estruturas de aço e vedação em vidro, e desenhadas de forma a lembrar motivos encontrados na arte islâmica, um reflexo da herança muçulmana malaia. 

Certa vez, os bombeiros simularam uma situação de incêndio e transferiram 15.000 pessoas duma torre para a outra pelo passadiço construído entre elas para mostrar como as Torres Petronas são resistentes.

Let`s Recycle With Eco Dinosaurs Paper Toys For Kids - by Kirin

Kirin, Japanese website, launched a green campaign to educate children to the habit of recycling. 

The company decided to use dinosaurs as mascots because, as we all know, the dinosaurs were recycled by nature and turned fossil fuel in the form of oil, natural gas, etc.

O site japonês Kirin lançou uma campanha ecológica para conscientizar as crianças para o hábito de reciclar. 

A companhia resolveu usar dinossauros como mascotes da campanha, porque, como todos sabemos, os dinossauros foram reciclados pela natureza e viraram combustivel fóssil, na forma de petróleo, gás natural, etc.
