The First Model Posted At The Blog in June, 22, 2011

Hello, my name is Mauther and I am from Brazil. I am married with Nanda and have two daughters, Malú and Maiú. I am into paper models since 2002, more or less and I`ve started create my own models in 2003 or 2004, using MsPaint. I think papercraft is a cheap therapy, an almost no cost hobby and is for all ages.

Practically anything can be built with paper, from architectural models, military and civilian vehicles, boats, airplanes, characters from all existing media, animals, plants, planets, etc. Think of something and there will probably be a model made of paper, simpler or more complex than you imagined. There is not a hobby in which the idea that imagination is the limit falls as well as in papercraft.

If you want to write to me to share a model that you find or created, to share some idea or tip about this hobby, to ask about a specific model that you not find here or another place, or just to say hello, please, let a message in the comments of this post or write to my e-mail:

mautherous@gmail.com

Will be a pleasure talk to you and share ideas! All the best, thanks for the visit and greetings from Brazil!

Mauther

Of all the models I created, this is my favorite

Olá, meu nome é Mauther e eu sou do Brasil.

Mauther

  27. Hey Mauther, I know you probably don't even remember your old "Easy Flying Sauccer" model, but I just recently tried it out. There is just a tiny problem with it. You only put slots in one corner in each of the two middle sections of the saucer and that doesn't work. In order to get the saucer to look like the finished product shown, the middle sections need to bend at each corner smoothly, not just at one corner sharply. Could you go back and fix the corners of that old model? I do not have the software to make such an adjustment and I would really like to build the model as shown. Actually, since it is black and white with no details, I was thinking of adding a few. That I can do. Also, thank you for featuring a few of my models in your forum. Would you believe II do all of my work in MSPaint? I am also known as Blackcat13.

As for Pinterest, I like the community because it's one of the last places on the internet that hasn't been taken over by ideological or political discussions, like Twitter and Facebook for example.

It's just a place to share things, in a very simple and democratic way. I tend to find very old paper models there, as well as new designers.

That´s true, but they don´t make any links to the original sites, and that not good in my opinion. I know, you design card models, too, and it would be better for you, when the visitors of pinterest-sites will visit your "Original site".

Your site (and your models) is/are some of the best on the internet.
Thankfully, you also link to some of the other sites that are at the top of the list, as well.
I appreciate the fact that you have some models that you request a donation for. Given the amount of work, time, and money you deserve compensation. I would like to make a small suggestion. For those models that you are requesting donations for, is there a way that you could indicate so. I have requested several models before I realized that they were the donation specific and in doing so I have cluttered up your mail box. Given the quality of your work, I look forward to eventually being able to be a financial supporter.
Thank you again for your amazing work.
