About the Ephemeral Museum:

I "am in the paper modeling" since 2005, although I've had contact with paper models from my childhood in the 1970s, via magazines that were sold sporadically in newsagents. I remember magazines with houses to build and dioramas/playsets of airports, western forts, nativity scenes and the like. With the advent of the internet what happened was simply a revival of the papercraft hobby for me and many other people of my generation. Today I am opening a new session here on the blog, the Ephemeral Museum , which is a place where I will show some of the models that I built all these years. I would also like this to be a space where all modelers friends could show their work, so if anyone wants to participate in this "museum", just send photos of your work and a few words, if you want, to the e-mail:

Eu "estou no papelmodelismo" desde 2005, embora eu já tivesse contato com modelos de papel desde minha infância, nos anos 1970, via revistas que eram vendidas esporadicamente em bancas de jornal. Lembro que haviam revistas com casas para montar e dioramas/playsets de aeroportos, fortes-apache, presépios e coisas do tipo. Com o advento da internet o que houve foi simplesmente um renascimento do hobby do papelmodelismo para mim e muitas outras pessoas de minha geração. Hoje eu estou inaugurando uma nova sessão aqui no blog, o Ephemeral Museum, que é um lugar aonde irei mostrar alguns dos modelos que eu construí em todos estes anos. Também gostaria que esse fosse um espaço aonde todos os amigos modelistas pudessem mostrar seus trabalhos, sendo assim, se alguém quiser participar deste "museu", basta mandar fotos de seu trabalho e algumas palavras para o e-mail abaixo:

Kimetsu No Yaiba - Sanemi Shinazugawa Paper Toy - by June

Created by Japanese designer June, this is the paper toy version of Sanemi Shinazugawa, character from the anime and manga series Kimetsu No Yaiba (better known in the west as Demon`s Slayer). The model is available via Youtube and to find the download link, click on "show more" just below the video window. Another thing: to open the template there is a password made up of three letters and a number. To find them you will have to watch the video carefully. A tip: the instructions are all in Japanese ideograms and the three letters and the password number are in western pattern. I found it and it wasn't difficult, so I think you will find it too.

Criado pelo designer japonês June, esta é a versão paper toy de Sanemi Shinazugawa, personagem da série de animes e mangás Kimetsu No Yaiba (mais conhecida no ocidente como Demon`s Slayer). O modelo está disponível via Youtube e para achar o link de download clique em "mostre mais" logo abaixo da janela de vídeo. Outra coisa: para abrir o template há uma senha composta de três letras e um número. Para achá-los você terá que assistir o vídeo com atenção. Uma dica: as instruções estão todas em ideogramas japoneses e as três letras e o número da senha estão em padrão ocidental. Eu encontrei e não foi difícil, então creio que vocês também encontrarão.

Wojtek, a friend from General Command Club of the Armed Forces Types. Polish website, kindly wrote to me and give me the link for this nice paper model of a Rescue Hwelicopter. Wojtek said: - "First, I want say it is wonderful job of yours. I am looking through your site whole week and still continue. The ideas are awesome. This model was created in General Command Community Club (most units has something like this - they make music, visual materials, paintings and even such thing like papercraft) and is free to download from their site.

My new friend from Germany, Patrick Raupp, wrote to me asking for the templates for Van Gogh's Yellow House so that he could build it with his son Franz. When I sent him the model I said that if he really built the model and if want, he would send some pictures to the Ephemeral Museum with a few words. To my pleasant surprise, the next day I received the photos and the nice text that I reproduce below:

"My son Franz (11 years old) and me, Patrick (47 years old), are completely new to the paper model world. The teacher of my son gave the hint: learning by building, referring to the famous antique architecture. We were astonished to discover such a great community of people all around the globe building all kind of things out of paper and offering templates free to download.
So we came across to the beautiful papermau blog. We started with the lovely vintage Swiss Mountain diorama and did "Van Gogh - The Yellow House Paper Model“ next. We downsized the yellow house a bit, because I thought the resolution was too low. The building was a great joy and we love the result. The two figures in front of the yellow house were added by us, me and my son sending greetings to the paper model world!

By the way, we are from Germany. So our next project will be a german castle: the Meersburg Castle in Bodensee. The templates just arrived yesterday!"

Meu novo amigo da Alemanha, Patrick Raupp, escreveu-me pedindo os templates da Casa Amarela de Van Gogh para que ele a construísse com seu filho Franz. Ao enviar-lhe o modelo eu disse que se ele realmente construísse o modelo e desejasse, que enviasse algumas fotos para o Ephemeral Museum com algumas palavras. Para minha grata surpresa, no dia seguinte recebi as fotos e o simpático texto que reproduzo abaixo:

Então nos deparamos com o lindo blog Papermau. Começamos com o adorável diorama vintage da Swiss Mountain e fizemos o próximo "Van Gogh - O Modelo de Papel da Casa Amarela". Reduzimos um pouco o tamanho da casa amarela, porque achei que a resolução era muito baixa. O edifício foi uma grande alegria e adoramos o resultado. As duas figuras em frente à casa amarela foram adicionadas por nós, eu e meu filho enviando saudações ao mundo dos modelos de papel!

Aliás, somos da Alemanha. Portanto, nosso próximo projeto será um castelo alemão: o Castelo Meersburg em Bodensee Os templates chegaram ontem!"

This paper model of an Primary School was originally published in 1920 by Herma publishing house. This model is part of a series. ABC online magazine will share a total of 15 vintage models available in a series called "Cut-Out Museum". In the presentation of this series it is said that "The free download of a cut-out is a reliable recipe to banish boredom".
