That's what NHK Science and Technology Research Laboratories proposes with this cute interactive robot.
The company says: - "Anticipating a future in which artificial intelligence (AI) will be integrated into our daily lives, we are developing robots that watch TV with people. Understanding people's words and broadcast programs and continuing to grow, we aim to create a new style of TV viewing that gives people joy and can be a conversation partner."
