A Rustic Rural Store - A Vintage Paper Model - by ABC Magazine

This vintage paper model from the 19th century that represents a rustic rural store and was published by the German printing company and publisher Robrahn & Co. The company was founded in 1823 by Eduard Robrahn and offered lithographic printing of image sheets and books. In 1856, his son Rudolf expanded the range with cutouts (paper models). The sheets contained German names, sometimes supplemented by Czech and Hungarian names. The cutouts marked in Italian, French, English and Spanish are also known, which proves the size of the market occupied by Robrahn's production.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the publisher started using a brand composed of the letters RCM placed on the coat of arms. The company disappeared in the 1930s. This store model was probably printed in 1883 and is originally called Farmerhütte, in a literal translation of the farmer's hut. This model is part of a large sheet containing three other buildings.

This model is part of a series. ABC will share a total of 15 vintage models available in a series called "Cut-Out Museum". In the presentation of this series it is said that "The free download of a cut-out is a reliable recipe to banish boredom".

Este modelo de papel bem antigo do século XIX que representa uma rústica loja rural foi publicado pela gráfica e editora alemã Robrahn & Co. A empresa foi fundada em 1823 por Eduard Robrahn e oferecia impressão litográfica de folhas de imagens e livros. Em 1856, seu filho Rudolf ampliou a gama com recortes (modelos de papel). As folhas continham nomes alemães, às vezes complementados por nomes tchecos e húngaros. São também conhecidos os recortes marcados em italiano, francês, inglês e espanhol, o que prova a dimensão do mercado ocupado pela produção da Robrahn.

No início do século XX, a editora passou a utilizar uma marca composta pelas letras RCM colocadas no brasão. A empresa desapareceu na década de 1930. O modelo dessa lojinha foi provavelmente impresso em 1883 e é originalmente chamado de Farmerhütte, em uma tradução literal da cabana do fazendeiro. Este modelo faz parte de uma grande folha contendo três outros edifícios.

Este modelo faz parte de uma série. A ABC irá disponibilizar um total 15 modelos antigos numa série que ela batizou como "Cut-Out Museum", ou "Museu dos Recortáveis". Na apresentação desta série é dito que "O download gratuíto de um recortável é uma receita imbatível para banir o tédio".
