I’m creating this paper stand with facades from 1970s London and I plan to publish it on the blog tomorrow.
The photo of the facade I used, in fact, is from Vlaardingen, a city and municipality located in the South Holland province (Zuid-Holland), in the Netherlands.
It is close to Rotterdam, along the Nieuwe Maas river, one of the branches of the Rhine.
Before discovering this, when I first saw the photo, I thought it depicted a street in London. It was with that idea in mind that I began creating the papercraft.
The posters of The Who and David Bowie, as well as the other signs and painted billboards on the brick walls, were added to create an atmosphere reminiscent of 1970s London.
Today, I’m sharing only a few images. Tomorrow, if there are no unforeseen issues, I will publish the model for download.
Estou criando este stand de papel com algumas fachadas de Londres da década de 1970 e pretendo publicá-lo no blog amanhã.
A foto da fachada que usei, na verdade, é de Vlaardingen, uma cidade e município localizado na província da Holanda do Sul (Zuid-Holland), nos Países Baixos.
Ela fica próxima a Roterdã, ao longo do rio Nieuwe Maas, uma das ramificações do Reno.
Antes de descobrir isso, ao ver a foto pela primeira vez, pensei que se tratava de uma rua de Londres. Foi com essa ideia que comecei a criar o papercraft.
Os pôsteres do The Who e do David Bowie, assim como as demais placas e letreiros pintados nas paredes de tijolos, foram colocados para criar uma atmosfera que remete à Londres da década de 1970.
Hoje, compartilho apenas algumas imagens. Amanhã, se não houver imprevistos, publicarei o modelo para download.
