The Ancient Temple Of Sacrifice - Assembled by Kevin WS - Part 01

My friend Kevin WS, from Kenya, Eastern Africa, is building the Ancient Temple of Sacrifice and and he is detailing the entire assembly process in a thread on the American papercraft community "Paper Modelers". 

Following the thread I learned a technique I didn't know to reinforce the interior of models with paper napkins and glue. 

Today, in this post, I leave the link for download the model, some photos taken by Kevin and the link for anyone who wants to follow the thread. 

There are a lot more photos and mounting tips there. I will continue posting here on the blog the advances made by Kevin, until the completion of the model.

Meu amigo Kevin WS, do Quênia, África Oriental, está montando o Antigo Templo do Sacrifício e ele está detalhando todo o processo de montagem em uma thread na comunidade de papercraft americana "Paper Modelers". 

Acompanhando a thread eu aprendi uma técnica que eu não conhecia para reforçar o interior dos modelos com guardanapos de papel e cola. 

Hoje, neste post, deixo o link para baixar o modelo, algumas fotos feitas por Kevin e o link para quem quiser acompanhar a thread.

1990`s Volkswagen Gol Cl Paper Model In 1/24 Scale - by RonaldoM

This 1990`s Volkswagen Gol Cl in 1/24 scale is another work of art on paper created by my friend here from Brazil, the designer and modeler Malquevicz RonaldoM, the mind behind Paperoom e Onipapel websites. 

Eu tive um Gol na década de 90 igualzinho esse. A única diferença era que o meu era na cor prata.

Este Volkswagen Gol Cl de 1990 na escala 1/24 é mais obra de arte em papel criada por meu amigo aqui do Brasil, o designer e modelista Malquevicz RonaldoM, a mente por trás dos sites Paperoom e Onipapel. 

I had a Gol in the 90's just like this one. The only difference was that mine was silver in color.

The Ephemeral Museum - A Greek Temple Pop-Up Papercraft by Studio Sakyo & Maiú

From Studio Sakyo, a Japanese website, here are two nice 3d pop-up papercrafts. They can be used in school works, to decorate or you can make a 3D pop-up card and send it to a good friend. 

The model below was assembled and colored by my little girl Maiú in the distant year of 2013.

Do site japonês Studio Sakyo, aqui estão dois papercrafts bem bacanas em estilo pop-up 3D. Eles podem ser usados em trabalhos escolares, para decorar ou você pode fazer um cartão pop-up e enviar para um bom amigo. 

O modelo da foto acima foi montado e colorido pela minha filhinha Maiú no já distante ano de 2013.

About the Ephemeral Museum:

I "am in the paper modeling" since 2005, although I've had contact with paper models from my childhood in the 1970s, via magazines that were sold sporadically in newsagents. I remember magazines with houses to build and dioramas/playsets of airports, western forts, nativity scenes and the like. With the advent of the internet what happened was simply a revival of the papercraft hobby for me and many other people of my generation. Today I am opening a new session here on the blog, the Ephemeral Museum , which is a place where I will show some of the models that I built all these years. I would also like this to be a space where all modelers friends could show their work, so if anyone wants to participate in this "museum", just send photos of your work and a few words, if you want, to the e-mail:

Eu "estou no papelmodelismo" desde 2005, embora eu já tivesse contato com modelos de papel desde minha infância, nos anos 1970, via revistas que eram vendidas esporadicamente em bancas de jornal. Lembro que haviam revistas com casas para montar e dioramas/playsets de aeroportos, fortes-apache, presépios e coisas do tipo. Com o advento da internet o que houve foi simplesmente um renascimento do hobby do papelmodelismo para mim e muitas outras pessoas de minha geração. Hoje eu estou inaugurando uma nova sessão aqui no blog, o Ephemeral Museum, que é um lugar aonde irei mostrar alguns dos modelos que eu construí em todos estes anos. Também gostaria que esse fosse um espaço aonde todos os amigos modelistas pudessem mostrar seus trabalhos, sendo assim, se alguém quiser participar deste "museu", basta mandar fotos de seu trabalho e algumas palavras para o e-mail abaixo:

James Fritzler began been actively designing paper toys in 2013, though toy design and engineering have always been a top part of his interests. 

He lives in the mountains of Logan, Utah with his wife and three kids where they enjoys music, art and spending time outdoors. 

Employment full time as a software developer in the medical field keeps him busy but offers time here and there to pursue hobbies such as graphic design, papercraft and vintage toy restoration.

James Fritzler começou a projetar paper toys em 2013, embora o design e a engenharia de brinquedos sempre tenham sido uma parte importante de seus interesses. 

Ele mora nas montanhas de Logan, Utah com sua esposa e três filhos onde eles gostam de música, arte e passar tempo ao ar livre. 

O emprego em tempo integral como desenvolvedor de software no campo médico o mantém ocupado, mas ele consegue tempo para seus hobbies, como design gráfico, papercraft e restauração de brinquedos antigos.

Miniature Japanese Houses Paper Models In 1/100 And 1/150 Scales by Toka Works

Offered by Japanese website Toka Works here are some nice little houses in 1/100 and 1/150 scales that are perfect for Dioramams, Train Sets, RPG and Wargames. 

A curiosity about these models is that they are copies of real houses that the construction company Toka Works uses to promote its company.

Oferecidas pelo site japonês Toka Works aqui estão algumas belas casinhas nas escalas 1/100 e 1150 que são perfeitas para Dioramas, Maquetes Ferroviárias, RPG e Wargames. 

Uma curiosidade sobre estes modelos é que eles são cópias de casas verdadeiras que a construtora Toka Works usa para promover sua companhia.

A Cute Wren Miniature Paper Model - by Patrick Kramer

This really cute paper model of a Wren, a small short-winged songbird found chiefly in the New World, was created by German designer Patrick Kramer, from Kreanym website. 

You will need to print four sheets of paper and a little piece of wire (could be office clips) to build your own Wren paper model.

Este modelo de papel realmente fofo de uma Carriça, um pequeno pássaro canoro de asas curtas encontrado principalmente no Novo Mundo, foi criado pelo designer alemão Patrick Kramer, do site Kreanym. 

Você precisará imprimir quatro folhas de papel e um pequeno pedaço de arame (podem ser clipes de escritório) para montar sua própria Carriça de papel.
