Here is small tribute to Brazilian artist Tarsila do Amaral, A Pop Up style paper model, very easy-to-build (just cut in red lines and fold in green lines) and takes up only one sheet of paper. A nice model to be used as playset or stand for miniatures, such as Playmobil and similars. 

Tarsila do Amaral (1886-1973) was a Brazilian painter, draftswoman and translator and one of the central figures in painting at the first phase of the modernist movement in Brazil. Eis aqui uma pequena homenagem à Tarsila do Amaral, um modelo de papel em estilo Pop Up, bem fácil de montar (apenas corte nas linhas vermelhas e dobre nas linhas verdes) e que ocupa apenas uma folha de papel. Um modelo bem bacana para playsets ou stand para miniaturas, tais como Playmobil e similares.

This Is Not Paper, But... - Building A Popsicle Stick House In Half-Timbered Style With Templates - by Animal Pet Fans

When looking at the images, the first impression is: "oh, it is very difficult to build this popsicle stick house", but with the templates and the very well detailed video tutorial, anyone who really wants to, can put together just the same. 

I think this tutorial will be well appreciated by Wargames enthusiasts. and when I have time, I'll try to set one up for myself.

Ao olhar para as imagens, a primeira impressão é: "oh, é muito difícil construir esta casa de palitos de picolé", mas com os templates e com o video-tutorial muito bem detalhado, qualquer pessoa que realmente queira, consegue montar uma igualzinha. 

Acho que esse tutorial será bem apreciado pelos entusiástas dos Wargames e quando eu tiver tempo, vou tentar montar uma para mim.

Created by German designer and modeler Dirk Kienzler, aka Aeon2, this is the miniature paper model version of the famous Hotel Chelsea, also called the Chelsea Hotel, or simply the Chelsea – a historic New York City hotel and landmark built between 1883 and 1885, known primarily for the notability of its residents over the years. 

The 250-unit hotel is located at 222 West 23rd Street, between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, in the neighborhood of Chelsea, Manhattan. The building has been a designated New York City landmark since 1966. 

Grateful Dead, Tom Waits, Jim Morrison, Dee Dee Ramone, Bob Dylan, Alice Cooper, Jimi Hendrix, Sid Vicious and Madonna are just a few of the artists who have stayed or lived in this iconic hotel. 

Here are the dimensions of this model: width: 19 cm, height: 17 cm and depth: 10 cm.

Criada pelo designer e modelista alemão Dirk Kienzler, aka Aeon2, esta é a versão em miniatura do famoso Hotel Chelsea, também chamado de Chelsea Hotel, ou simplesmente o Chelsea - um hotel histórico da cidade de Nova York construído entre 1883 e 1885, conhecido principalmente pela notabilidade de seus residentes ao longo dos anos. 

O hotel de 250 apartamentos está localizado na 222 West 23rd Street, entre a Seventh e a Eighth Avenues, no bairro de Chelsea, em Manhattan. O edifício é um marco arquitetônico da cidade de Nova York desde 1966.

Here's an easy-to-make Cardboard Castle project for kids, created by Laurence, from the French website Les Idées Du Samedi. 

The entire project is made with recyclable materials, mostly cardboard and the rest are things that we have at home and that usually go to waste. 

Despite being richly illustrated, the tutorial is written in French, so, maybe it's a silly tip for everyone to know, but for those who don't know, if you click on the page with the right button of the mouse, it will open a dialog box where there is the option to translate the entire page at once.

Aqui está um projeto de um Castelo de Papelão bem fácil de fazer para crianças, feito por Laurence, do site francês Les Idées Du Samedi. 

O projeto todo é feito com materiais recicláveis, a maioria papelão e o resto são coisas que temos em casa e que geralmente vão para o lixo. 

Apesar de ser ricamente ilustrado, o tutorial está escrito em francês, então, talvez seja uma dica boba que todos saibam, mas para quem não sabe, se você clicar sobre a página com o botão direito do mouse, abrirá uma caixa de diálogo onde há a opção para traduzir toda a página de uma vez só.

Kameyamashiro Tamon Tower Paper Model - by City Of Kameyama

This is the Kameyamashiro Tamon Tower, situed at City Of Kameyama, in Japan. Recently this historic building underwent a restoration and this paper model was made to commemorate this. 

A nice model for Dioramas, School Works, RPG and Wargames.

Esta é a Torre Kameyamashiro Tamon, situada na Cidade de Kameyama, no Japão. Recentemente esta construção histórica passou por uma restauração e esse modelo de papel foi feito para comemorar isto.

"Sugaya Tatara Yamauchi" in Yoshida Town, Unnan City, has the only remaining former steel factory unit called Takadono and is designated as a National Historic Landmark. 

Until its last day of operation on May 5, 1918, it had produced a century of high-quality steel, said to be the best in the world.

Offered by the Paper Museum website, this beautiful traditional Japanese house in 1/12 scale occupies 14 printed sheets and is very detailed. 

I assembled this model that appears on the photos in 2012 and I don't have it anymore. I used white tissue paper to simulate the rice paper for the sliding door. 

As we can see, there is a smooth combination of past and present, with tatami mats, a wall clock and rustic furniture alongside a laptop and what appears to be a digital clock. 

An easy-to-assemble model with detailed instructions that I recommend to everyone, even those who have no experience with papercraft.

Oferecido pelo site Paper Museum, esta bela casinha tradicional japonesa na escala 1/12 ocupa 14 folhas impressas e é bem detalhada. 

Eu montei esse modelo que aparece nas fotos em 2012 e eu não o tenho mais. Eu usei papel de seda branco para simular o papel de arroz da porta corrediça. 

Como podemos ver, há uma suave combinação do passado com o presente, com tatames, um relógio de parede e móveis rústicos junto a um laptop e o que parece ser um relógio digital. 

Um modelo fácil de montar, com instruções detalhadas que eu recomendo para todos, mesmo para aqueles que não tem experiência com papercraft.

I "am in the paper modeling" since 2005, although I've had contact with paper models from my childhood in the 1970s, via magazines that were sold sporadically in newsagents. I remember magazines with houses to build and dioramas/playsets of airports, western forts, nativity scenes and the like. With the advent of the internet what happened was simply a revival of the papercraft hobby for me and many other people of my generation. Today I am opening a new session here on the blog, the Ephemeral Museum , which is a place where I will show some of the models that I built all these years. Eu "estou no papelmodelismo" desde 2005, embora eu já tivesse contato com modelos de papel desde minha infância, nos anos 1970, via revistas que eram vendidas esporadicamente em bancas de jornal. Lembro que haviam revistas com casas para montar e dioramas/playsets de aeroportos, fortes-apache, presépios e coisas do tipo. Com o advento da internet o que houve foi simplesmente um renascimento do hobby do papelmodelismo para mim e muitas outras pessoas de minha geração. Hoje eu estou inaugurando uma nova sessão aqui no blog, o Ephemeral Museum, que é um lugar aonde irei mostrar alguns dos modelos que eu construí em todos estes anos. Também gostaria que esse fosse um espaço aonde todos os amigos modelistas pudessem mostrar seus trabalhos, sendo assim, se alguém quiser participar deste "museu", basta mandar fotos de seu trabalho e algumas palavras para o e-mail abaixo:
