1982`s Donkey Kong Junior Arcade Paper Model - by Cowboy Geoff

This is the classic 1982`s Donkey Kong Junior arcade machine, here in a cool paper model version created by North American designer Cowboy Geoff. Looking for the template, I think this model is something about 1/12 scale, but I am not sure.

The Ephemeral Museum - 1979`s Western Fort Paper Model by Seite 42 - Forte Apache

A great model of a Western Fort, that was published in several parts, weekly, in 1980, inside Disney`s magazines. All the photos of the model in this post are by Mr. Jens, a great German modeler, and were originally posted on the German Forum Kartombau.De (link to original Mr. Jens` post at the end of this post). Seite 42, which does a great work of preservation and dissemination of these old models of Disney, generously shares with us this rare model.

Um belíssimo modelo de um Forte Apache, que foi originalmente encartado semanalmente nas revistas da Disney, durante o ano de 1980. Todas as fotos que ilustram este post, são do Sr. Jens, um grande modelista alemão, que as postou originalmente no forum alemão Kartombau.De (link para a postagem original no fim deste post). O site Seite 42, que faz um belo trabalho de conservação e divulgação destes antigos modelos da Disney, generosamente compartilha este raro Forte Apache conosco.

About the Ephemeral Museum:

I "am in the paper modeling" since 2005, although I've had contact with paper models from my childhood in the 1970s, via magazines that were sold sporadically in newsagents. I remember magazines with houses to build and dioramas/playsets of airports, western forts, nativity scenes and the like. With the advent of the internet what happened was simply a revival of the papercraft hobby for me and many other people of my generation. Today I am opening a new session here on the blog, the Ephemeral Museum , which is a place where I will show some of the models that I built all these years. I would also like this to be a space where all modelers friends could show their work, so if anyone wants to participate in this "museum", just send photos of your work and a few words, if you want, to the e-mail:

Eu "estou no papelmodelismo" desde 2005, embora eu já tivesse contato com modelos de papel desde minha infância, nos anos 1970, via revistas que eram vendidas esporadicamente em bancas de jornal. Lembro que haviam revistas com casas para montar e dioramas/playsets de aeroportos, fortes-apache, presépios e coisas do tipo. Com o advento da internet o que houve foi simplesmente um renascimento do hobby do papelmodelismo para mim e muitas outras pessoas de minha geração. Hoje eu estou inaugurando uma nova sessão aqui no blog, o Ephemeral Museum, que é um lugar aonde irei mostrar alguns dos modelos que eu construí em todos estes anos. Também gostaria que esse fosse um espaço aonde todos os amigos modelistas pudessem mostrar seus trabalhos, sendo assim, se alguém quiser participar deste "museu", basta mandar fotos de seu trabalho e algumas palavras para o e-mail abaixo:

A Big Papercraft Collection About Ancient European Architecture by Secanda

It's been a long time since I've seen so many high quality architectural paper models put together in one place! I have great pleasure in presenting here on the blog the work of my new friend, the French designer and modeler Secanda. Although he is very modest and does not agree, I believe his models have the quality of the best paid architectural paper models available on the web.
He said: - "Secanda means "stuff to cut" in Latin language. I use just an old basic multilayer photo editor, that I use as a paper with pencil and compass. I don't use 3D editors because first I don't know at all how to use them and then I don't like very much the paper models made only with 3D tools. For my taste, they look often as nightclub mirror balls... For my taste again, it's better to feel the hand of the drawer even if the result is rougher and less perfect. However the real reason is maybe I'm too lazy or too stupid or too old, or the three in the same time, to learn how to use a 3D editor."

Já faz tempo que eu não via tantos modelos de papel arquitetônicos de alta qualidade reunidos em um só lugar! Eu tenho muito prazer em apresentar aqui no blog o trabalho de meu novo amigo, o designer e modelista francês Secanda. Embora ele seja muito modesto e não concorde, eu creio que seus modelos tem a qualidade dos melhores modelos de papel arquitetônicos pagos disponíveis na web.

Ele disse: - "Secanda significa "coisas para cortar" em latim. Eu uso apenas um velho editor de fotos básicas multicamadas, que uso como papel, lápis e compasso. Eu não uso editores 3D porque primeiro eu não sei como usá-los e eu não gosto muito dos modelos de papel feitos apenas com ferramentas 3D. Para o meu gosto, eles parecem frequentemente com bolas espelhadas de discoteca ... Na minha opinião novamente, é melhor sentir a mão no desenho, mesmo se o resultado for mais rude e menos perfeito. No entanto, a verdadeira razão é que talvez eu seja muito preguiçoso ou muito estúpido ou muito velho, ou os três ao mesmo tempo, para aprender como usar um editor 3D."

Warhammer - Clash Of Drong Medieval Buildings Paper Models Preserved And Shared by Kaal979

These medieval constructions for Wargames are from an old magazine dedicated to board games in that style. 

These paper models in particular are from the campaign Clash Of Drong from Warhammer series and have been preserved and are now shared by the Wargames and RPG enthusiast known as Kaal979. 

He shared them on his page on DeviantArt community and to download the models you need to register on the site, which is easy and free.

Estas construções medievais para Wargames são de uma antiga revista dedicada aos jogos de tabuleiro nesse estilo. 

Estes modelos de papel em particular são da campanha Clash Of Drong para a série Warhammer e foram preservados e são agora compartilhados pelo entusiasta de Wargames e RPG conhecido como Kaal979. 

Ele os compartilhou em sua página na comunidade DeviantArt e para baixar os modelos você precisa se registrar no site, o que é fácil e gratuíto.
