Nishinomiya Battery Paper Model In 1/185 Scale - by Neko Higeya

Created by Japanese designer Echikolo, from Neko Higeya website, this is the paper model version in 1/185 scale of the Nishinomiya Battery.

In Japan, during the Edo period, of much turbulence, the shogunate saw many warships arrive on its beaches, such as those of the United States and Russia, for that reason was built Nishinomiya Battery, a cylindrical building with 12 meters of height and full of spies so that the cannons inside could protect the coast.

Its construction begans in 1863 and was completed in 1866. Fires and storms repeatedly destroyed the building, which the interior was basically made of wood.

In 1975 all the inner part was reinforced with steel and today the Battery of Nishinomiya is a famous historical landmark of the city of the same name.

The Twilight Zone - Mystic Seer Fortune Teller Machine Paper Toy
by Pungang

The North American ilustrator Edward Pun, aka Pungang, created this very original paper model of the Mystic Seer. Pungang said: - "This is from the episode "Nick of Time" on the original Twilight Zone tv show. I think William Shatner actually starred in it. I haven't seen it yet but always thought this fortune teller machine looks pretty cool. Anyway, this paper model is pretty easy to put together. Basically three box shape, glue the tabs, and put the three section together. There are two fortune cards but feel free to make your own".

Pungang disse: - "Isso é do episódio "Nick of Time", da série original Twilight Zone.

Will Kalif, do site Storm the Castle.

Goldfish Dance - Sake No Zashiki Paper Model - by Tetsuya Watabe
& Kamimodel

Based on the original art of Utagawa Kuniyoshi, the Japanese designers Tetsuya Watabe and Kamimodel have created this nice paper model of a Goldfish Dancing. Utagawa Kuniyoshi was a great master of the Japanese ukiyo-e style of woodblock prints and paintings in the late Edo period. Born in the Nihonbashi Honshirogane-cho area of Edo, Kuniyoshi's talents bloomed when he was still in his teens and he went to study under Utagawa Toyokuni I, a popular artist of the day. When Kuniyoshi was about 30 years old, he came into the limelight when he unveiled the series “One of the 108 Heroes of the Popular Water Margin,” based on a Chinese tale called “Water Margin.”

The paper model and the original art by Utagawa Kuniyoishi
