The "Real" Thing
A very easy to build paper toy of Alfred E. Newman, the "pretty face" of Mad Magazine, in a funny cubic style. By 7eater`s Cubees website.
Mad is an American humor magazine founded by editor Harvey Kurtzman and publisher William Gaines in 1952. Launched as a comic book before it became a magazine, it was widely imitated and influential, impacting not only satirical media but the entire cultural landscape of the 20th century, with editor Al Feldstein increasing readership to more than 2,000,000 during its 1970s circulation peak. The last surviving title from the notorious and critically acclaimed EC Comics line, the magazine offers satire on all aspects of life and popular culture, politics, entertainment, and public figures. Its format is divided into a number of recurring segments such as TV and movie parodies, as well as freeform articles. Mad's mascot, Alfred E. Neuman, is typically the focal point of the magazine's cover, with his face often replacing a celebrity or character that is lampooned within the issue. - Wikipedia

North-American Mad Anual Papercraft Magazine
- Wikipedia

The Real Thing
Abraham and Mary Lincoln’s sons Edward, William, and Thomas (“Tad”) were born in the house on Eighth Street in Springfield. Sadly Edward also died while the family lived there. The Lincoln’s oldest son Robert, while born at the Globe, also grew up in this house. The 1858 Senate race and associated debates brought Lincoln national prominence and helped win him the 1860 Republican presidential nomination. After winning the election, the Lincolns left this home on February 11, 1861, for Washington DC. Lincoln never returned to his home. Today it is a fully restored National Historic Site owned and managed by the U.S. National Park Service and is open daily to the public for guided tours.

Infelizmente Edward morreu, enquanto a família morava lá.

Witch's House In The Forest - by Papermau - Assembling - Final Part

Photobucket

Here is the final part of the assembly of the Witch's House In The Forest Diorama. in this post you will see how to build the trees and some images of the graves. In the next post, you will see the diorama finished and the link to download.

Photobucket
In this part a bit tedious, I had a little hand by Maiú (literally)

It's a pretty boring job, because the leaves are cut and glued one by one. But you can leave the trees without leaves, as if they were dead, thus giving a climate darker the diorama. you can also use oregano leaves, instead of using paper.

Photobucket

Here, some of the graves
