    1. Many of the original models were lost during the massive virus attack that Papermau suffered in 2019. If you are new to the blog, you may not know this, but Papermau was offline for about four months because of it.

Cleaning the blog and removing all the infections was a very slow and difficult process. The malware affected not only the blog itself, but also people who tried to access it. Unfortunately, during that cleanup, a lot of material was lost, including many papercraft models. Some were probably lost forever, while others may still be recovered.

Whenever I find old templates on a forgotten CD, DVD, hard drive or USB stick, or when a longtime friend of the blog happens to have saved a copy and kindly sends it to me, I restore the model and publish it again.

Unfortunately, that is not the case with these specific models, at least for now.

Please also keep in mind that Papermau is a personal project, created and maintained by just one person.

And, paraphrasing Kennedy a little: **don’t ask only what the blog can do for you — ask what you can do to help the blog.** You can leave comments on the posts, which helps Papermau’s engagement and visibility on Google. You can also use the comments or send me an email at **[mautherous@gmail.com](mailto:mautherous@gmail.com)** to share links to free papercrafts you have discovered. And, of course, you can help a lot simply by sharing Papermau and its posts on your social networks.

Every comment, shared link, rediscovered model and mention of the blog helps keep this little project alive.

So before coming here simply to complain about one or two particular posts or missing downloads, please take a moment to consider the amount of work that has gone into keeping Papermau alive and rebuilding what could be saved over all these years.

Thank you for understanding — and, even more, thank you to everyone who has helped Papermau in one way or another throughout all these years.
