Warhammer - Vengeance of the Lichemaster Paper Model Diorama

Originally published in Citadel Journal in 1986 and preserved and shared by Oldhammer Generals website, this is the Monastery of La Maisontaal, a diorama paper model inspired on the universe of Warhammer Fantasy (or Warhammer: Age of Sigmar or just Warhammer), a fantasy fiction universe created in 1983 by the British company Games Workshop, known for its miniature games and wargames. 

This fictional universe is explored in books, magazines, electronic games and board games. Warhammer's universe is inspired by the works of JR Tolkien, Michael Moorcock, and Robert E. Howard, creator of Conan the Barbarian. 

The map, its geographic regions, and the factions that populate the fictional world are inspired by various events in European history and civilizations in world history.

Originalmente publicado na revista Citadel Journal em 1986 e preservado e compartilhado pelo site Oldhammer Generals, este é o Mosteiro de La Maisontaal, um modelo de papel/diorama inspirado no universo de Warhammer Fantasy (ou Warhammer: Age of Sigmar ou somente Warhammer), um universo de ficção fantástica criado em 1983 pela empresa britânica Games Workshop, conhecida pelos seus jogos de miniaturas e wargames. 

Esse universo de ficção é explorado em livros, revistas, jogos eletrônicos e jogos de tabuleiro. O universo de Warhammer é inspirado pelas obras de J. R. R. Tolkien, Michael Moorcock e Robert E. Howard, criador do Conan, o Bárbaro. 

O mapa, suas regiões geográficas e as facções que populam o mundo fictício são inspirados por diversos acontecimentos da história européia e pelas civilizações da história do mundo.

The Ephemeral Museum - The Village House Miniature Paper Model

My friend Soetam Rizky, from Indonesia, built the Village House paper model and kindly sent me a photo of his nice work. 

I know it will be repetitive, but I have to say that is always a good feeling see one of my models assembled by a friend modeler, and from so a distant country here from Brazil. It is always, without exception, a pleasure and an honor for me.

Eu sei que vai soar repetitivo, mas eu tenho que dizer que é sempre um sentimento muito bom ver um dos meus modelos montados por um amigo modelista, e de um país tão distante aqui do Brasil. É sempre, sem excessão, um prazer e uma honra ver um de meus modelos montado por um amigo modelista.

About the Ephemeral Museum:

I "am in the paper modeling" since 2005, although I've had contact with paper models from my childhood in the 1970s, via magazines that were sold sporadically in newsagents. I remember magazines with houses to build and dioramas/playsets of airports, western forts, nativity scenes and the like. With the advent of the internet what happened was simply a revival of the papercraft hobby for me and many other people of my generation. The Ephemeral Museum is a place where I will show some of the models that I built all these years. I would also like this to be a space where all modelers friends could show their work, so if anyone wants to participate in this "museum", just send photos of your work and a few words, if you want, to the e-mail:

Eu "estou no papelmodelismo" desde 2005, embora eu já tivesse contato com modelos de papel desde minha infância, nos anos 1970, via revistas que eram vendidas esporadicamente em bancas de jornal. Lembro que haviam revistas com casas para montar e dioramas/playsets de aeroportos, fortes-apache, presépios e coisas do tipo. Com o advento da internet o que houve foi simplesmente um renascimento do hobby do papelmodelismo para mim e muitas outras pessoas de minha geração. O Ephemeral Museum é um lugar aonde irei mostrar alguns dos modelos que eu construí em todos estes anos. Também gostaria que esse fosse um espaço aonde todos os amigos modelistas pudessem mostrar seus trabalhos, sendo assim, se alguém quiser participar deste "museu", basta mandar fotos de seu trabalho e algumas palavras para o e-mail abaixo:

Porsche 936-78 Turbo Miniature Paper Model In SD Style - by Yonju

This original and very well done paper model version in SD style (super deformed syle) of the Porsche 936-78 was created by Japanese designer and modeler Yonju, from Tuzigiri website. 

To view and print this model you will need Pepakura Viewer Free Version (link at the end of this post). When the file opens, you will be asked for a password. 

Just ignore it and click on the option "open with Pekaura Viewer" that appears right below the password space.

Star Wars - Tie LN X-Wing Starfighter Miniature Paper Model

From Star Wars universe, here is a miniature paper model of the TIE/line starfighter. The TIE/LN starfighter, or TIE/line starfighter, simply known as the TIE Fighter or T/F, was the standard Imperial starfighter seen in massive numbers throughout most of the Galactic Civil War and onward. 

Colloquially, Rebel and New Republic pilots referred to the craft as "Eyeballs". 

This paper model was created by Brazilian designer and modeler Rondinelle Felipe Diogenes Nery, from Rondipaper website and if you want to view and print this model you will need Pepakura Viewer Free Version (link at the end of this post).

Do universo de Star Wars, eis aqui um modelo de papel em miniatura do Caça Estelar TIE/line. O caça estelar TIE/LN, ou caça estelar TIE/line, simplesmente conhecido como TIE Fighter ou T/F, era o caça estelar imperial padrão visto em grande número durante a maior parte da Guerra Civil Galáctica e adiante. 

Coloquialmente, os pilotos da Rebelde e da Nova República se referem à nave como "Globo Ocular".

TRON 2.0 - Light Cycle Paper Model - by MoonFish Papercrafts

Created by Russian designer and modeler Evgen MooNFish, from MooNFish`s Papercrafts, here is a very well done paper model version of the Light Cycle, from the Sci-Fi movie TRON 2.0. 

On the fictional universe of TRON 2.0, Light Cycles are vehicles resembling motorcycles that are driven by programs in the Game Grid. Upon being rezzed in by a program's rod, a Light Cycle completely covers the driver with a protective canopy. Each Light Cycle is colored according to the color of the rod that generated it.

Criado pelo designer e modelista russo Evgen MooNFish, do site MooNFish`s Papercrafts, eis aqui uma versão em papel muito bem feita da Light Cycle do filme Sci-Fi TRON 2.0. 

No universo fictício de TRON 2.0, os Light Cycles são veículos que lembram motocicletas, movidos por programas na Game Grid. Ao ser rejuncionado por uma haste de programa, uma Light Cycle cobre completamente o piloto com uma cobertura protetora. Cada Light Cycle é colorido de acordo com a cor da haste que o gerou.
