About Toys In The Attic by Papermau:

Toys in the Attic is the third album by American rock band Aerosmith, released in April 1975. Is also a name of a 1963`s drama movie with Dean Martin and Geraldine Page. Now, because this is a really nice name, this will be the name of a new session of Papermau`s blog. In this session I will share old original and exclusive paper models posted more than a year here in the blog. It's a way of not letting these models get lost among over four thousand posts in two years of existence of the blog.

Toys in the Attic (Brinquedos no Sotão) é o nome do terceiro album da banda norte-americana de rock Aerosmith, lançado em 1975. É também o nome de um drama para o cinema de 1963 chamado aqui no Brasil de Na Voragem das Paixões, que contava no elenco com Dean Martin (o parceiro do Rat Pack e de Jerry Lewis) e Geraldine Page. Agora, porque eu acho esse um título muito legal, Toys in the Attic será o nome de uma nova sessão do blog Papermau. Nesta sessão eu publicarei antigos modelos de papel originais e exclusivos postados há um ano ou mais. Esta é a maneira que encontrei para que estes modelos não fiquem perdidos e esquecidos entre mais de quatro mil postagens feitas em dois anos de existência do blog.

Rocky Bergen is a Canadian industrial designer and creator of this custom miniature paper model of the Amiga 500 Personal Computer. The Amiga 500, also known as A500, is the first low-end Commodore Amiga 16/32-bit multimedia home/personal computer. It was announced at the winter Consumer Electronics Show in January 1987 – at the same time as the high-end Amiga 2000 – and competed directly against the Atari 520ST. Before Amiga 500 was shipped, Commodore suggested that the list price of the Amiga 500 was US$595.95 without a monitor.
At delivery in October 1987, Commodore announced that the Amiga 500 would carry a US$699/£499 list price. In Europe, the Amiga 500 was released in May 1987. Jin Mao Tower In China - A Miniature Architectural Paper Model by John B Townsend

Created by North American designer and modeler John B Townsend here is a miniature paper model of the Jin Mao Tower in 1/1000 scale. The Jin Mao Tower, literally "Gold Luxuriance Building", is an 88-story landmarks kyscraper in the Lujiazui area of the Pudong district of Shanghai, People's Republic of China. It contains offices and the Shanghai Grand Hyatt hotel. In 2005, it is the tallest building in the PRC, the fifth tallest in the world by roof height and the seventh tallest by pinnacle height. Along with the Oriental Pearl Tower, it is a centerpiece of the renowned Pudong skyline.

Criado pelo designer e modelista norte-americano John B Townsend eis aqui um modelo de papel em miniatura da Torre Jin Mao na escala 1/1000. A Jin Mao Tower, literalmente "Gold Luxuriance Building", é um arranha-céu de 88 andares na área de Lujiazui, no distrito de Pudong, em Xangai, na República Popular da China. Ele abriga escritórios e o hotel Shanghai Grand Hyatt. Em 2005, era o edifício mais alto da República Popular da China, o quinto mais alto do mundo pela altura do telhado e o sétimo mais alto pela altura do pináculo. Junto com a Oriental Pearl Tower, é uma peça central do renomado horizonte de Pudong.

Nefertiti Bust Replica Decorative Paper Model - by Biomaker99

Created by designer and modeler Biomaker99 and originally posted at Pepakura Gallery community, here is a perfect paper model version of the Nefertiti Bust, a painted stucco-coated limestone bust of Nefertiti, the Great Royal Wife of the Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten. 

The work is believed to have been crafted in 1345 B.C. by the sculptor Thutmose, because it was found in his workshop in Amarna, Egypt. It is one of the most copied works of ancient Egypt. Owing to the work, Nefertiti has become one of the most famous women of the ancient world, and an icon of feminine beauty. 

A German archaeological team led by Ludwig Borchardt discovered the bust in 1912 in Thutmose's workshop. It has been kept at various locations in Germany since its discovery, including the cellar of a bank, a salt mine in Merkers-Kieselbach, the Dahlem museum, the Egyptian Museum in Charlottenburg and the Altes Museum. It is currently on display at the Neues Museum in Berlin, where it was originally displayed before World War II.

Criado pelo designer e modelista Biomaker99 e publicado originalmente na comunidade Peakura Gallery, eis aqui uma vperfeita versão em papel do Busto de Nefertiti, um busto feito de calcário com cerca de 3400 anos de idade, retratando Nefertiti, a Grande Esposa Real do faraó egípcio Aquenáton, uma das obras de arte mais imitadas do Antigo Egito. 

Devido à obra, Nefertiti tornou-se uma das mulheres mais célebres da Antiguidade, bem como um ícone da beleza feminina. Acredita-se que tenha sido feito em 1345 a.C., pelo escultor Tutemés. Uma equipe de arqueólogos alemães, liderada por Ludwig Borchardt, descobriu o busto em 1912, no ateliê de Tutemés em Amarna, no Egito, e ele foi desde então mantido em diversas localidades da Alemanha - incluindo uma mina de sal em Merkers-Kieselbach, o Museu Dahlem (então em Berlim Ocidental), o Museu Egípcio de Charlotemburgo e o Museu Altes. 

Atualmente está em exposição no Neues Museum, em Berlim, onde era exibido antes da Segunda Guerra Mundial.
