This is the paper model version of the
German car Borgward Isabella Hansa 1500, in
1/15 scale. The
original model was
published in 1956 by Wilhelmshaven and thanks to
AGK Kartonmodell-Datenbank, now you can
build your own Borgward Isabella. The
Isabella is an
automobile which was manufactured by the
Bremen based auto-manufacturer Carl F. W. Borgward GmbH from
1954 to 1962. The
Isabella was to have been marketed as the
Borgward Hansa 1500 but the
Isabella name was
used on test vehicles and proved
popular with engineering staff and media. The production car was s
ubsequently renamed and only the first few hundred examples were built without Isabella badging. -
Borgward is an automobile manufacturer that was founded by
Carl F. W. Borgward (November 10, 1890 – July 28, 1963). The
original company, based in
Bremen in Germany, ceased operations in
1961. The
Borgward group produced
four brands of cars: Borgward, Hansa, Goliath and Lloyd. The marque was
revived by Carl Borgward's grandson, Christian Borgward, with
his partner Karlheinz L. Knöss, and assistance from
Chinese investment in 2008. It unveiled the
company's first new car in over 50 years, the BX7 at the
2015 International Motor Show.
