The Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka (Cherry Blossom), was a purpose-built, rocket powered human-guided anti-shipping kamikaze attack plane employed by Japan towards the end of World War II. United States sailors gave the aircraft the nickname Baka (Japanese for "fool" or "idiot"). The MXY-7 Navy Suicide Attacker Ohka was a manned flying bomb that was usually carried underneath a Mitsubishi G4M2e "Betty" Model 24J bomber to within range of its target; on release, the pilot would first glide towards the target and when close enough he would fire the Ohka's three solid-fuel rockets, one at a time or in unison, and fly the missile towards the ship that he intended to destroy. - Wikipedia

Vandalaia is a two-story Greek Revival structure of white painted brick.

The Vandalia State House, the fourth Illinois statehouse, served as the capitol from 1836 until 1839 and is the oldest surviving capitol building in the state. The first (1818-1820) was at Kaskaskia, the state’s first capital city. The second (1820-1823), third (1824-1836), and fourth (1836-1839) were at Vandalia. In 1974 the Vandalia State House was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today the State House is an Illinois Historic Preservation Agency State Historic Site.

Localizada no centro de um quarteirão no centro de Vandalia, a Casa do Estado é uma estrutura de dois andares no estilo revivalista grego, feita de tijolos e pintada de branco. Pórticos nos lados norte e sul da construção foram refeitos, tentando reproduzir os originais de 1850. O primeiro andar contém um hall de entrada grande e salões que representam os cargos de Auditor, Tesoureiro e Secretário de Estado, e do Supremo Tribunal. O segundo andar é composto por um hall central e câmaras recriando as salas originais da Câmara e o Senado.

The Real Thing

The Chevrolet Impala is a full-size automobile built by the Chevrolet division of General Motors introduced for the 1958 model year. Deriving its name from the southern African antelope, Chevrolet's most expensive passenger model through 1965 had become the best-selling automobile in the United States, competing against the Ford Galaxie 500 and the Plymouth Fury when full-size models dominated the market. The Impala was distinguished for many years by its symmetrical triple taillights. The Caprice was introduced as a top-line Impala Sport Sedan for the 1965 model year becoming a separate series positioned above the Impala in 1966, which itself remained above the Bel Air and Biscayne. The Impala continued as Chevrolet's most popular full-size model through the mid-1980s. Between 1994 and 1996, Impala was revived as a muscular 5.7-liter V8–powered version of the Caprice Classic sedan. In 2000, the Impala was re-introduced again as a mainstream front-wheel drive full-size sedan. - Wikipedia

This week we have a simple vintage paper model, the Little Red Riding Hood`s House, very easy to build, so I thought unnecessary that there be a tutorial for this beautiful model assembled by German designer and modeler Oliver Bizer. The model was originally posted at Agence Eureka,a great site for all who love vintage style paper models.

Esta semana temos um modelo de papel simples, por isso não achei necessário que houvesse um tutorial para ele. Trata-se de um modelo bem antigo da Casa da Chapeuzinho Vermelho, montada pelo designer e modelista alemão Oliver Bizer. Este modelo foi originalmente postado no Site da Agence Eureka, um ótimo lugar para todos que gostam de modelos de papel bem antigos.
