The Real Thing

Fortifications of Vauban consists of 12 groups of fortified buildings and sites along the western, northern and eastern borders of France. 
They were designed by Vauban (1633–1707), and were added in 2008 to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.


As Fortificações de Vauban consistem de 12 grupos de construções fortificadas em toda extensão oeste, norte e leste das fronteiras da França. Foram projetadas por Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban, um grande arquiteto militar francês, especialista em poliorcética. Foram incluídas como Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO em 2008.

A beautiful airplane paper model in 1/72 scale, created by French designer Pierre Gauriat. The Dewoitine 510 was a fighter with low wing and with a caracteristic "long legs" undercarriage. The D510 was used by French fighter units until mid-1940, but was never used in combat. More than hundred D510 was built. - Pierre Gauriat
