The Medieval Castle - A 2009`s Papermau Original Papercraft Download Tomorrow!

I created this papercraft of a medieval castle in January 2009. It was all designed and textured in MsPaint and was originally published here on the blog in 2011. 

I thought I had lost the original templates, but luckily I found them on an old rewritable CD. I also found the original papercraft of the castle that I built in 2009. 

The model was kept in a shoe box all these years, protected from light and humidity and is in perfect condition after 15 years. 

The photos in this post were taken today and as you can see, the model is intact. 

Many people don't give the papercraft hobby a chance because they think that what they create or assemble today will disintegrate in a few days or months, when in fact, with a little basic care, a papercraft can last for years, like this castle, which if it were a person, today would be a teenager. 

Today I leave just a few images. I'm working on the templates and I'm going to combine everything into a single PDF file. 

Tomorrow, if there is no unforeseen event that prevents me from doing so, I will post the castle for download on the blog. Have a good week everyone.

Eu criei este papercraft de um castelo medieval em Janeiro de 2009. Ele foi todo desenhado e texturizado no MsPaint e foi publicado aqui no blog originalmente em 2011. 

Eu pensei haver perdido os templates originais, mas por sorte os encontrei em um velho CD regravável. Também encontrei o papercraft original do castelo que eu montei também em 2009. 

O modelo ficou todos estes anos guardado em uma caixa de sapatos, protegido da luz e umidade e encontra-se em perfeito estado depois de 15 anos. 

As fotos deste post foram tiradas hoje e como vocês podem ver, o modelo está inteiro. 

Muitas pessoas não dão uma chance ao hobby do papercraft porque pensam que o que elas criarem ou montarem hoje se desintegrará em poucos dias ou meses, quando na verdade, com poucos cuidados básicos, um papercraft pode durar anos, como este castelo, que se fosse uma pessoa, hoje seria um adolescente. 

Hoje deixo apenas algumas imagens. Estou trabalhando nos templates e vou juntar tudo em um único arquivo PDF. 

Amanhã, se não houver nenhum imprevisto que em impeça de fazê-lo, posto o castelo para download no blog. Boa semana parta todos.

St Mawes Castle was built by Henry VIII as one of a string of fortresses along the southern coast of England and Wales to protect against Spanish and French attacks.

Along with Pendennis Castle, St Mawes was responsible for guarding the estuary of the River Fal, a passage where enemy ships could gain access to England.

The castle is shaped like a clover leaf and was originally surrounded by octagonal defences. You can still see the remains of the Tudor gun defences, and there are several cannons around the castle to show you how it would have been set up in wartime.

Climb to the top of the castle and you’ll be rewarded with amazing sea views. Then look down in the gun tower to see the sinister oubliette – a deep underground hole where enemies were imprisoned.

O castelo tem a forma de uma folha de trevo e foi originalmente cercado por defesas octogonais. Você ainda pode ver os restos das defesas de armas Tudor, e há vários canhões ao redor do castelo para mostrar como ele teria sido montado em tempos de guerra.

Suba ao topo do castelo e você será recompensado com vistas incríveis do mar. Em seguida, olhe para baixo na torre de armas para ver a sinistra masmorra – um buraco subterrâneo profundo onde os inimigos eram presos.

As part of the restructuring and cleaning of the blog, today I post here a model originally published in March, 2013. This is the Medieval Castle Facade For Mini Figures In 1/25 Scale. I created this model for my little daughter Maiú play with her ​​Playmobil miniatures.

Como parte da reestruturação e limpeza do blog, hoje posto aqui um modelo originalmente publicado em Março de 2013. Esta é a Fachada do Castelo Medieval para Mini Figuras, em Escala 1/25. Eu criei esse modelo para minha filhinha Maiú brincar com suas miniaturas Playmobil.

You can choose to build your medieval facade with wooden gate or iron gate. You can also decorate with streamers.

Você pode escolher entre montar sua Fachada Medieval com portão de madeira ou com grades. Também pode decorar com flâmulas.

The Cardboard Medieval Castle In 1/25 Scale Project - by Papermau

An original Playmobil Castle is very expensive, especially here in Brazil, with its extortion import fees, so I decided to create my own castle on Playmobil scale, that is, between 1/24 and 1/25. All is done using a metal ruler 30 cms long by 3 cms wide as a standard measure. The castle battlements measure 3 cms each (the width of the ruler), as well as the length of the wall, which is that same width times 5 cms, or 15 cms. And all the measurements are made so, always using the ruler as a reference, making the work much easier. Soon I will post more advances in this cardboard project.

Um Castelo Playmobil original é muito caro, principalmente aqui no Brasil, com suas taxas de importação que beiram a extorsão, então eu resolvi criar meu próprio castelo na escala Playmobil, ou seja, entre 1/24 e 1/25. Tudo é feito usando como medida padrão uma régua de metal de 30 cms de comprimento por 3 cms de largura. As ameias do castelo medem 3 cms cada (a largura da régua), assim como o comprimento da parede, que é essa mesma largura vezes 5 cms, ou 15 cms. E todas as medidas são feitas assim, sempre usando a régua como referência, facilitando muito o trabalho. Em breve postarei mais avanços neste projeto de papelão.

Stargard Castle Paper Model - by Projekt Bastelbogen - Part 03

Created by my friend, the German engineer and designer Boris Voigt, from Projekt Bastelbogen website, here is the third part of the Stargard Castle, a kind of cistern with a great wall. The "Crooked House", the second part of this castle, is available in two different scales: 1/120 and 1/160.

A castle (from Latin castellum) is a type of fortified structure built in Europe and the Middle East during the Middle Ages by European nobility. Scholars debate the scope of the word castle, but usually consider it to be the private fortified residence of a lord or noble. This is distinct from a palace, which is not fortified, from a fortress, which was not always a residence for nobility, and from a fortified town, which was a public defense – though there are many similarities among these types of construction. Usage of the term has varied over time and has been applied to structures as diverse as hill forts and country houses. The  Real Thing

Um castelo (diminutivo de castro) é uma estrutura arquitetônica de fortificação, com funções defensiva e residencial. De tipo permanente, era geralmente erguido em posição dominante no terreno, próximo a vias de comunicação (terrestres, fluviais ou marítimas), o que facilitava o registo visual das forças inimigas e as comunicações a grandes distâncias. Um castelo pequeno é um castelete.
Embora sejam popularmente associados à Idade Média europeia, estruturas com funções semelhantes vêm sendo empregadas desde a Idade da Pedra por todo o planeta. Como exemplos mais recentes temos os castelos do Japão e as fortificações dos Incas.
