Toys In The Attic Meets Halloween Special - The Zombie In A Barrel

To close this Halloween night with a golden key, here's the Zombie in a Barrel, a paper model originally published here at the blog on April, 19, 2012. I added two LED lamps (white and blue) to the model and took some pictures. The result you can see in the pictures of this post. It seems that the zombie is steeped in some kind of toxic fluorescent jelly. Para fechar a noite de Dia das Bruxas com chave de ouro, eis aqui o Zumbi no Barril, um modelo de papel originalmente publicado aqui no blog no dia 19 de Abril de 2012. Eu adicionei duas lâmpadas de LED ao modelo (uma branca e uma azul) e tirei algumas fotos. O resultado você pode ver nas duas imagens que ilustram este post. Parece que o zumbi está mergulhado em algum tipo de geléia tóxica fluorescente. This house really exists. It is located in São Paulo and is one of hundreds of old houses, with different features that make them unique. Unfortunately all of them are doomed to disappear, it is by abandonment and invasion of drug users, who steal even the pipes of the walls, or by real estate speculation. Esta casa realmente existe. Ela fica em São Paulo e é uma das centenas de casas antigas, com peculiaridades que as fazem únicas. This model has about three years and I forget it completely. Looking the model by Time Splitter I remember me and so I search in my HD and find it. So here is the Vintage Wood Cabinet Clock, in several colors. The idea is the same of Time Splitter: a cheap clock engine of one of those Chinese one dollar clock. This model was originally posted on the blog in August 16, 2011.

Este modelo já fiz há uns três anos e tinha me esquecido completamente dele. Aí, vendo o modelo do Time Splitter, me lembrei e saí procurando no meu HD. Achei, e então, aqui está: um relógio estilo vintage como aqueles do início do século passado, em várias cores. This is the Medieval Church, a paper model originally posted on the blog on June, 23, 2011. Made with Sketchup, Pepakura and texturized with MSPaint. Sketchup and Pepakura models included in .rar file to help with assemble. I did a PDF format version, thereby removing printing errors, since all sheets are automatically the same resolution and size. I kept the JPG format version, for those who want to customize the templates. This is a model full of details, as can be seen in its 21 windows, which has stained glass windows with unique images in each.

Esta é a Igreja Medieval, um modelo de papel originalmente postado em 23 de Junho de 2011, aqui no blog. Ela foi desenhada no Sketchup, desdobrada no Pepakura e texturizada no MsPaint. Os modelos em Sketchup e Pepakura estão incluídos no arquivo para download, pois são úteis na montagem deste modelo. Eu fiz uma versão em formato PDF, eliminando assim erros de impressão, já que todas as folhas ficam automaticamente na mesma resolução e tamanho. Mantive a versão em formato JPG, para aqueles que quiserem customizar o modelo. Alerted by a friend of the blog, the Italian modeler Christian Ortone, that was missing a part of the roof in this Greek Temple, I reviewed the entire model and made ​​two versions of the missing part, with different textures. I did also instructions with photos that had not been made yet and turned the templates for the format. PDF, which eliminates the chance of printing the parts in different sizes. Alertado por um amigo do blog, o modelista italiano Christian Ortone, de que faltava uma parte do telhado deste Templo Grego no arquivo para download, eu revisei todo o modelo e fiz duas versões da parte que faltava, com texturas diferentes. Eu fiz também as instruções com fotos, que não haviam sido feitas ainda e transformei o modelo para o formato .PDF, o que elimina a chance de imprimir as peças em tamanhos diferentes. This is the Old Brazilian Sobrado. This model was one of the first paper models that I drew. It was totally created and textured in MsPaint. it was originally posted here on the blog on June 25, 2011.

Este é o Velho Sobrado Brasileiro. Este modelo de papel foi um dos primeiros modelos que eu desenhei. Ele foi totalmente criado e texturizado no MsPaint e foi originalmente postado aqui no blog em 25 de Junho de 2011.

Before the model was separated into multiple sheets in JPG format. Now they were all gathered in a single file in PDF format. This eliminates the possibility of print in different resolutions, which affects the size of the pieces.

Antes o modelo estava em várias folhas separadas em formato JPG. Agora todos foram reunidos em um único arquivo, em formato PDF. Isto elimina a possibilidade de impressão em resoluções diferentes, o que interfere no tamanho das peças.

This model was originally posted in JUNE 27, 2011. More one model made in MSPaint. This one I did thinking of those films of WW2, when some seven or eight soldiers, survivors of a lost platoon arrive in an European village and then have to defend the people, because the nazis are coming to decimate all over the place, because they think that all the people are "partisans".

Esse eu fiz pensando naqueles filmes da Segunda Guerra, quando uns sete ou oito soldados que restaram de um pelotão chegam num vilarejo europeu e então têm de defender a população, pois os nazistas estão chegando para dizimar todo mundo, porquê acham que lá todos são "partisans".

Brazilian colonial architecture was derived from Portugal, with adaptations demanded by the tropical climate. The more enduring examples of this very attractive style are to be found in the churches and monasteries of the older cities, but most spectacularly in Ouro Preto, the first capital of the province of Minas Gerais. This city has been meticulously restored and protected as part of Brazil's heritage and it is now on UNESCO's World Heritage List.

No Brasil, a Arquitetura colonial é definida como a arquitetura realizada no atual território brasileiro desde 1500, ano do descobrimento pelos portugueses, até a independência, em 1822.
Durante o período colonial, os colonizadores importaram as correntes estilísticas da Europa à colônia, adaptando-as às condições materiais e sócio-econômicas locais. Encontram-se no Brasil edifícios coloniais com traços arquitetônicos renascentistas, maneiristas, barrocos, rococós e neoclássicos, porém a transição entre os estilos se realizou de maneira progressiva ao longo dos séculos e a classificação dos períodos e estilos artistísticos do Brasil colonial é motivo de debate entre os especialistas.
A importância do legado arquitetônico e artístico colonial no Brasil é atestada pelos conjuntos e monumentos desta origem que foram declarados Patrimônio Mundial pela UNESCO. Estes são os centros históricos de Salvador, Ouro Preto, Olinda, Diamantina, São Luís do Maranhão, Goiás Velho, o Santuário do Bom Jesus de Matosinhos em Congonhas do Campo e as ruínas das Missões Jesuíticas Guarani em São Miguel das Missões.
