Here is the Nosferatu Vignette Paper Model, in two versions: Ambar and Gray. The model consist in three sheets of paper, is very easy-to-build and you can download easily directly from Google Docs.
I created this diorama in 2013 and published it here on the blog in October of the same year. Later, when the blog was affected by a series of viruses, this model and many others were deleted. Today, in the year that the film Nosferatu turns 100, I publish it again here on the blog. Have fun!
One hundred years ago, the movie Nosferatu, by director Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau, was released in Germany and, over the decades, would become a classic of horror cinema and German expressionism. Nosferatu was the first feature film to feature a vampire as a central element.
A curiosity: Nosferatu was clearly based on the book Dracula (1897), by Bram Stoker. In fact, the film's producers tried to buy the rights to the book for screen adaptation, but the heirs of Bram Stoker, who had died in 1912, refused to negotiate the rights.
This forced the producers to create a whole new story, which would turn out to be that of Nosferatu, or Count Orlok, a vampire who moves to a town, Wisborg, and makes victims while trying to possess the woman he falls in love with.
Even with all the changes, the Stoker family went to court and demanded the destruction of all copies of the film, but fortunately, some of these copies survived, making the film a classic of the genre — especially after 1962, when Dracula has officially fallen into the public domain.

Uma curiosidade: Nosferatu foi claramente baseado no livro Drácula (1897), de Bram Stoker. Na verdade, os produtores do filme tentaram comprar os direitos do livro para adaptação para as telas, mas os herdeiros de Bram Stoker, que havia falecido em 1912, se recusaram a cnegociar os direitos.
Isso obrigou os produtores a criar toda uma nova história, que viria a ser a de Nosferatu, ou o Conde Orlok, um vampiro que se muda para uma cidade, Wisborg, e faz vítimas enquanto tenta possuir a mulher por qual se apaixona.
Mesmo com todas as mudanças, a família Stoker entrou na justiça e exigiu a destruição de todas as cópias do filme, mas felizmente, algumas dessas cópias sobreviveram, fazendo com que o filme se torna-se um clássico do gênero — principalmente após 1962, quando Drácula caiu oficialmente em domínio público.
