1985`s BASF LH-EI 90 Cassette Tape Paper Model - by PapermauDownload Now!

There was once a time when there were no computers, CDs, internet, iPods, smartphones, and the only way to "carry" your music with you were recording them on cassette tapes. Then you could hear them into the cassette player of your car or in your revolutionary Walkman. I remember spending hours recording my favorite songs from vinyl records to cassette tapes. I used to make lists with the songs, then I kept trying to organize them so that could fit on both sides of the tape harmoniously (the tapes had 30, 60 or 90 minutes). Digging in dusty old boxes, I found some old cassette tapes and decided to make a paper model of one of them, in this case, the BASF LH-90 EI, which was one of my favorite brands. I believe that even being a very specific model, yet can still also be a beautiful retro decorative item.

Era uma vez uma época em que não haviam computadores, Cds, internet, iPods, smartphones e a única forma de "levar" suas músicas com você era gravando-as em fitas cassete. Aí você poderia ouvi-las no toca-fitas do seu carro ou no seu revolucionário Walkman. Eu me lembro de passar horas gravando minhas músicas favoritas dos discos de vinil para fitas cassete. Eu costumava fazer listas com as músicas, depois ficava tentando organizá-las para que coubessem nos dois lados da fita harmoniosamente (as fitas tinham 30, 60 ou 90 minutos). Vasculhando em velhas caixas empoeiradas, eu encontrei algumas fitas cassete antigas e resolvi fazer um modelo de papel de uma delas, no caso, a BASF LH-EI 90, que era uma das minhas marcas favoritas. Eu creio que mesmo sendo um modelo bem específico, mesmo assim ainda possa ser também um belo item decorativo retrô.

The Italian Villa - by Papermau - Assembling The Model - Part 01

This model of the Italian Village was posted for download here on the blog in December 2015 and only now I started to assemble it. The whole model occupies only three sheets of paper and when printed in A4 format, the building measures 7 cm x 5,5 cm and 10 cm tall, not counting the base, the wall in ruins and the small tank. This is the first part of the assembly and I will try to finish it soon. The link to download the model is right below, at the end of this post.

Este modelo da Vila Italiana foi postado para download aqui no blog em dezembro de 2015 e só agora eu comecei a montá-lo. O modelo todo ocupa apenas três folhas de papel e quando impresso no formato A4, o prédiozinho mede 7 cms por 5,5 cms e 10 cms de altura, isso sem contar a base, o muro em ruínas e o tanque de água. Esta é a primeira parte da montagem e eu tentarei concluí-la em breve. O link para baixar o modelo está logo abaixo, no final deste post.

About the Ephemeral Museum:

I "am in the paper modeling" since 2005, although I've had contact with paper models from my childhood in the 1970s, via magazines that were sold sporadically in newsagents. I remember magazines with houses to build and dioramas/playsets of airports, western forts, nativity scenes and the like. With the advent of the internet what happened was simply a revival of the papercraft hobby for me and many other people of my generation. Today I am opening a new session here on the blog, the Ephemeral Museum , which is a place where I will show some of the models that I built all these years. I would also like this to be a space where all modelers friends could show their work, so if anyone wants to participate in this "museum", just send photos of your work and a few words, if you want, to the e-mail:

Eu "estou no papelmodelismo" desde 2005, embora eu já tivesse contato com modelos de papel desde minha infância, nos anos 1970, via revistas que eram vendidas esporadicamente em bancas de jornal. Lembro que haviam revistas com casas para montar e dioramas/playsets de aeroportos, fortes-apache, presépios e coisas do tipo. Com o advento da internet o que houve foi simplesmente um renascimento do hobby do papelmodelismo para mim e muitas outras pessoas de minha geração. Hoje eu estou inaugurando uma nova sessão aqui no blog, o Ephemeral Museum, que é um lugar aonde irei mostrar alguns dos modelos que eu construí em todos estes anos. Também gostaria que esse fosse um espaço aonde todos os amigos modelistas pudessem mostrar seus trabalhos, sendo assim, se alguém quiser participar deste "museu", basta mandar fotos de seu trabalho e algumas palavras para o e-mail abaixo:
