Medieval City Gate And Tower Paper Models - by Projekt Bastelbogen

My friend from Germany, the designer and engineer Boris Voigt, from Projekt Bastelbogen educative website, continues creating more architectural paper models for his Wiekhaus, that is a special form of defense buildings, mainly found in the north-east of Germany and Wiechhaus in the Lower Rhine. Wiekhäuser served in the Middle Ages to observation and defense.Today we have a City Gate and a Tower. You will find these models in 1/72 scale, 1/87 scale (HO scale), 1/60 scale (ZO scale) and 1/120 scale (TT scale).- There are many other models, as you can see on the images of this post.

This very well done paper model of a Arsinoitherium was created by Japanese designer Katsuyuki Shiga Pinoart and is part of the "Prehistoric Animals" series. 

  Arsinoitherium is an extinct genus of paenungulate mammals belonging to the extinct order Embrithopoda. It is related to elephants, sirenians, hyraxes and the extinct desmostylians. Arsinoitheres were superficially rhinoceros-like herbivores that lived during the late Eocene and the early Oligocene of northern Africa from 36 to 30 million years ago, in areas of tropical rainforest and at the margin of mangrove swamps. A species described in 2004, A. giganteum, lived in Ethiopia about 27 million years ago.

Este modelo de papel muito bem feito de um Arsinoitherium foi criado pelo designer japonês Katsuyuki Shiga Pinoart e faz parte da série "Animais Pré-Históricos". 

Arsinoitherium é um gênero extinto de mamíferos paenungulados pertencentes à extinta ordem Embrithopoda. Está relacionado com elefantes, sirênios, hyraxes e os desmostilianos extintos. Eram herbívoros superficialmente semelhantes a rinocerontes que viveram durante o final do Eoceno e o início do Oligoceno do norte da África de 36 a 30 milhões de anos atrás, em áreas de floresta tropical e nas margens de manguezais. Uma espécie descrita em 2004, A. giganteum, viveu na Etiópia cerca de 27 milhões de anos atrás.
