This beautiful 1/160 scale paper model of an old Viennese gas station was created by artist and architect Hannah Heiermann.
The model is very well designed, it's not difficult to assemble and it's amazing that it's a first job.
Let's hope Hannah gets excited about the hobby and creates new papercrafts. I, as an enthusiast of mainly architectural models, will wait for that.
I asked Hannah to write a few lines for this post and she kindly sent me the text below:
"My name is Hannah Heiermann and I am an artist and architect based in Vienna.
For an exhibition in May, I made a paper model of the building where the exhibition took place, an old gas station on the Nord West Bahnhof. I had a stack of A3 paper and people could take it with them.
I would love if this gas station was shared and somehow preserved in several different places as it will eventually be demolished for a large housing project that will be built there.
It's my first paper model and I really enjoyed working on it.

Este belo modelo de papel na escala 1/160 de um antigo posto de gasolina vienense foi criado pela artista e arquiteta Hannah Heiermann.
O modelo é muito bem projetado, não é difícil de montar e é incrível que seja um primeiro trabalho.
Vamos torcer para que Hannah se entusiame com o hobby e crie novos papercrafts. Eu, como um entusiásta de principalmente modelos arquitetônicos, vou ficar esperando por isso.
Eu pedi para Hannah escrever algumas linhas para este post e ela gentilmente enviou-me o texto abaixo:
"Meu nome é Hannah Heiermann e sou uma artista e arquiteta residente em Viena.
Para uma exposição em maio, fiz uma maquete em papel do prédio onde a exposição aconteceu, um antigo posto de gasolina na Nord West Bahnhof.Eu tinha uma pilha de papel A3 e as pessoas podiam levar consigo.
Eu adoraria se este posto de gasolina fosse compartilhado e de alguma forma preservado em vários lugares diferentes, pois eventualmente será demolido para um grande projeto habitacional que será construído lá.
É meu primeiro modelo de papel e realmente apreciei trabalhar nele.
