A Fix About Le Viex Mollin - The Old Mill Vintage Paper Model Thanks To Marco62 And Gerrit

Yesterday I posted this beautiful paper model of a French mill and wrongly said it was a model published in 1914, based on the Roman numerals printed on the template. 

Two friends from the blog, Marco62 and Gerrit, kindly wrote me to let me know I was wrong. Below are the two messages:

I just wanted to tell you a little thing about "le vieux moulin".The indication "XIV" is for a borough,Paris is divided in 20 borough. But the papercraft of this mill is old,we are OK with that  ;)

The XIV does not refer to the date: it says XIVe, so 14th, the 14th borough or district of Paris.

Ontém eu postei esse belo modelo de papel de um moinho francês e erroneamente disse que era um modelo publicado em 1914, baseado nos algarismos romanos impressos no template. 

Dois amigos do blog, Marco62 e Gerrit, gentilmente escreveram-me para informar que eu estava errado. Abaixo as duas mensagens:

Só queria falar um pouco sobre "le vieux moulin". A indicação "XIV" é para um bairro, Paris está dividida em 20 bairros. Mas o papercraft deste moinho é antigo, estamos de acordo nesse ponto  ;)

This is the Osterhage's Service Station, more one custom and exclusive paper model and my way to say thanks to Mr. Karl-Heinz Osterhage, from Hannover, Germany, for supporting the blog.

Every friend who supports the blog will receive a personalized and exclusive paper model garage/service station with the name or words you want. In addition to an exclusive model, supporters will also receive via email four more exclusive garages . 

Supporters can choose which of the four models will be personalized and what will be written, as well as the colors and even the posters that will be used in the decoration. Le Viex Mollin - The Old Mill - A French Vintage Paper Model by Luc Leoucy - via Agence Eureka

This beautiful paper model of an old mill was created by a French artist called Luc Leoucy for a publication called Pettit Echo de la Mode. 

At the bottom of the page we can read that this magazine/newspaper had its headquarters at numbers 5 and 7 of Rue Lemaignan, in Paris. 

In the parentheses we see the Roman numerals "XIV", which leads me to believe that this ancient paper model was published in 1914 (over a hundred years ago!) by a printer/publisher called P. Orsoni. 

I want to leave here my thanks to the Agence Eureka website for the hard work of preserving these small and fragile treasures, which would otherwise be lost in time. 

If anyone ventures to assemble this model and wants to send some photos here to the blog (you can send to mautherous@gmail.com), it would be a pleasure to publish them in the section "The Ephemeral Museum", with due credit, of course.

Este belo modelo de papel de um moinho antigo foi criado por um artista francês chamado Luc Leoucy para uma publicação chamada Pettit Echo de la Mode. 

Na parte de baixo da folha podemos ler que essa revista/jornal tinha sua sede nos números 5 e 7 da Rua Lemaignan, em Paris. 

Nos parênteses vemos os algarismos romanos "XIV", o que me leva a crer que este antigo modelo de papel foi publicado em 1914 (há mais de cem anos atrás) por uma gráfica/editora chamada P. Orsoni. 

Quero deixar aqui meus agradecimentos ao site da Agence Eureka pelo árduo trabalho de preservação destes pequenos e frágeis tesouros, que de outra forma se perderiam no tempo.
