An Easy-To-Build Generic Roman Arch Paper Model For Dioramas, RPG And Wargames by Papermau - Download Now!

Here is a simple paper model of a Generic Roman Arch that can be used in Dioramas, RPG, Wargames or School Works. 

This model fits nicely for 30 mm and 1/64 scale. It occupies two sheets of paper and more one, if you want the optional base. 

If you like it, you can easily download a copy in PDF format, easily and securely directly from Google Drive. 

This papercraft was created and published on Papermau on April 11, 2014. Around 2019, the blog was infected by a series of viruses that forced me to take it offline for a few months to eliminate the viruses and review it. 

This attack caused several posts and links to be affected, with a great loss of material (original papercrafts) in the process. 

Many of these papercrafts were lost forever, which was not the case with this one, as I found the original templates in an old unnamed folder saved on an old USB stick. 

Today, ten years later, I am pleased to be able to share this papercraft again. I hope it is useful to someone in some way, whether in school projects or wargames and dioramas. Have fun.

Este papercraft foi criado e publicado em Papermau no dia 11 de Abril de 2014. Por volta de 2019, o blog foi infectado por uma série de vírus que me obrigaram a tirá-lo do ar por alguns meses para eliminação dos vírus e revisão. 

Esse ataque fez com que vários posts e links fossem afetados, com grande perda de material (papercrafts originais) no processo. 

Muitos desses papercrafts se perderam para sempre, o que não foi o caso desse, que achei os templates originais em uma velha pasta sem nome salva em um antigo pendrive. 

Hoje, dez anos depois, tenho o prazer de poder compartilhar novamente este papercraft. Espero que seja útil para alguém de alguma forma, seja em trabalhos escolares ou wargames e dioramas. Boa montagem.

Forester Stone House Paper Model In HO Scale - by Papier Denkmal

Created by the talented German designer and modeler Jens Neuhaus from Papier Denkmal website and consisting of 142 parts arranged on four sheets of paper (plus two instruction sheets), this is the paper model in 1/87 scale (HO scale) of the Forester Stone House in Germany. 

Between the cities of Cologne, Bergisch Gladbach and Rösrath, there is an area of 25 square kilometres that is one of the largest nature reserves in the region: The Königsforst is not only home to kingfishers, nuthatches and red kites – Cologne's green lung is also a popular leisure destination. 

When entering the forest area from Bergisch Gladbach, the route passes the former forest house Steinhaus. There, an interactive exhibition provides information on the use of resources in the Königsforst, while a café in the inner courtyard serves delicious home-made delicacies. 

The building was built in the early 18th century by the St. Severin Monastery in Cologne using greywacke, a type of sedimentary rock composed mainly of quartz grains, feldspar and various rock fragments. This rock forms in rapidly sedimentary environments, such as river deltas or turbid areas, where sediments are rapidly deposited. Due to its durability, greywacke is often used as a building material. 

In 1733, the Augustinian hermits took over the property and expanded it in the late Baroque style. When Steinhaus came under the control of the Prussian forestry administration in 1815, it was converted into a service residence, where 13 generations of foresters lived until 2003. Since the 1960s, the building has been a regional architectural heritage site. 

In the image below you can see that Mr. Neuhaus has lined the interior of the building with aluminum foil, probably to better reflect any lighting he may install in the model. This lighting can be done safely and cheaply with LED bulbs.

Entre as cidades de Colônia, Bergisch Gladbach e Rösrath, estende-se uma área de 25 quilômetros quadrados que é uma das maiores reservas naturais da região: no Königsforst, não apenas o martim-pescador, o pica-pau-cinzento e o milhafre-real encontram seu lar – o pulmão verde de Colônia também é um popular destino de lazer. 

Ao entrar na área florestal a partir de Bergisch Gladbach, o caminho passa pela antiga casa florestal Steinhaus. Lá, uma exposição interativa informa sobre o uso de recursos no Königsforst, enquanto um café no pátio interno oferece deliciosas iguarias caseiras. 

O edifício foi construído no início do século XVIII pelo convento de St. Severin, em Colônia, utilizando grauvaque, um tipo de rocha sedimentar composta principalmente por grãos de quartzo, feldspato e fragmentos de rochas variadas.Essa rocha se forma em ambientes de sedimentação rápida, como deltas de rios ou áreas de turbidez, onde há deposição rápida de sedimentos. Devido à sua resistência, a grauvaque é frequentemente usada como material de construção. Em 1733, os eremitas agostinianos assumiram a propriedade e a ampliaram no estilo barroco tardio. 

Quando Steinhaus passou para o controle da administração florestal prussiana em 1815, foi transformado em uma residência de serviço, onde viveram, até 2003, 13 gerações de guardas-florestais. Desde a década de 1960, o edifício é um patrimônio arquitetônico da região. 

Na imagem logo acima você pode ver que o Sr. Neuhaus forrou com papel alumínio o interior da construção, provavelmente para refletir melhor a iluminação que por ventura ele venha a instalar no modelo. Essa iluminção pode ser feita de forma segura e barata com lâmpadas de LED.

It's a toy that hangs from a string and slowly descends. The swinging of the paper toy itself causes it to slowly descend in a way that is both funny and graceful. 

You can play with them separately, each on its own string, or you can hang them all together or even just use them as a mobile decoration.

É um brinquedo que fica pendurado em um barbante e desce lentamente. O próprio balançar do paper toy faz com que ele desça lentamente de uma forma ao mesmo tempo engraçada e graciosa. 

Você pode brincar com eles separadamente, cada um em seu próprio barbante ou pode pendurá-los todos juntos ou ainda usá-los apenas como um móbile.

The Big Bang Theory - Sheldon And Leonard's Apartment Playset by Action Figure Theatre

This perfect paper model version of Sheldon and Leonard's apartment, from The Big Bang Theory tv series, was created by British designer Phil, from Action Figure Theatre website. This play set diorama is in a scale for 5¨figures.

The Big Bang Theory is an American sitcom created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, which premiered on September 24, 2007, on CBS. 

The show follows the lives of a group of nerdy friends and their social interactions, particularly focusing on Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki), two physicists working at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). 

The series ran for 12 seasons and concluded on May 16, 2019, after 279 episodes. 

Some interesting facts about The Big Bang Theory:

Jim Parsons never watched Star Trek or Doctor Who, despite his character Sheldon being a huge fan of both series. 

Mayim Bialik, who plays Amy Farrah Fowler, is actually a PhD in neuroscience, just like her character.

Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki (Penny and Leonard) were romantically involved in real life during the early years of the show, but kept their relationship a secret to avoid affecting the cast dynamics. 

The number of Sheldon and Leonard's apartment (4A) was chosen as a tribute to physicist Stephen Hawking, as the number 4 represents the theory of spatial dimensions, something related to the scientific discussions on the show.

Nojoch Paakal Tunich - The Ancient Stone Village Papercraft by Papermau - Download Now!

Three years ago, I created this small stone village as a commission for a children's story podcast. 

Unfortunately, due to my own fault, the project didn't go ahead and I ended up forgetting about this papercraft. 

This week, while going through old files on my hard drive, I ended up finding this small village again. 

It was practically finished and so I decided to publish it here on the blog. Maybe someone will find a use for it as a diorama or as wargame accessories. 

In the absence of a better name for this papercraft, I decided to call it "The Ancient Stone Village", but it didn't seem like a good name, either in Portuguese or in English. 

So I decided to research the Mayan language, more precisely the Yucatec Mayan language, the language spoken mainly on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. 

I typed in ChatGPT: - "How do you write "The Ancient Stone Village" in Mayan?" - and I got "Nojoch Paakal Tunich", where Nojoch means Ancient, Paakal is Village and Tunich means Stone. 

The whole model is very simple, consisting of a base with five stone houses and I managed to arrange everything on four sheets of paper.

Há três anos atrás eu criei este pequeno vilarejo de pedra como uma encomenda para um podcast de histórias infantis. 

Infelizmente, por minha culpa, o projeto não foi para frente e eu acabei esquecendo desse papercraft. 

Essa semana, mexendo em velhos arquivos em meu HD, acabei reencontrando essa pequena vila. 

Ela já estava praticamente pronta e então eu resolvi publicá-la aqui no blog. Talvez alguém ache uso para ela como diorama ou como acessórios para wargames.

Na falta de um nome melhor para este papercraft, resolvi batizá-lo de "O Antigo Povoado de Pedra", mas não me pareceu um bom nome, nem em português, nem em inglês. 

Resolvi então pesquisar a língua Maia, mais precisamente a Maia iucateca, a língua falada principalmente na Península de Yucatán, no México. 

Digitei no ChatGPT: - "como se escreve "O antigo Povoado de Pedra" em maia? - e recebi "Nojoch Paakal Tunich", sendo que Nojoch significa Antigo, Paakal é Povoado e Tunich Pedra. 

O modelo todo é bem simples, composto de uma base com cinco casinhas de pedra e consegui arranjar tudo em quatro folhas de papel.

Halloween Special - 3D Halloween Coloring Pages For Kids by Krokotak

Based in Russia, Krokotak is an educational website that treats children as children. 

The tutorials, all very easy to make, generally use paper, cardboard, scissors, glue and paints and things that we usually have at home, such as disposable packaging, straws, plastic bottles and the like. 

It seems to me that the idea of ​​the site is to be accessible to as many children as possible and that is why there is no text in the tutorials and no speech in the videos. 

The tutorials are explained through photos and the videos only show the project being developed, with a children's background music. 

From what I could see, the goal of the site is to promote the intellectual and motor development of children through playful activities, without ideologies or guidelines of any kind, so I can safely recommend it to all parents. 

Today I present a very easy Halloween project that consists of 3D drawings to color with witches, skeletons, ghosts, spiders and bats.

Baseado na Rússia, Krokotak é um website educativo que trata criança como criança. Os tutoriais, todos bem fáceis de fazer, utilizam geralmente papel, papelão, tesoura, cola e tintas e coisas que geralmente temos em casa, como embalagens descartáveis, canudos, garrafas plásticas e coisas do gênero. 

Me parece que a idéia do site é ser acessível para o maior número de crianças possível e por isso não há textos nos tutorias e nem falas nos vídeos. 

Os tutoriais são explicados por meio de fotos e os vídeos mostram apenas o projeto sendo elaborado, com um fundo musical infantil. 

Pelo que pude observar, o objetivo do site é, através de atividades lúdicas, promover o desenvolvimento intelectual e motor das crianças, sem ideologias ou pautas de qualquer espécie, então, posso recomendá-lo com tranquilidade a todos os pais.

Hoje apresento um projeto de Dia das Bruxas muito fácil que consiste em desenhos 3D para colorir com bruxas, esqueletos, fantasmas, aranhas e morcegos.
