Today I'll start a new series of posts, to be published on Saturdays: The Weekend Pic. It will always be an image of a free model, built by a designer found in forums around the Net. I would like to ask the cooperation of all friends of the blog to indicate some models for this weekly post. The only requirement: the model needs to be freely distributed and there must be a link to this assembly or construction report. So here is the first post:

Hoje eu vou começar uma nova série de posts, que serão publicados aos sábados: A Imagem Do Fim De Semana, ou, the Weekend Pic. Será sempre uma imagem de um modelo gratuíto, construída por um designer achado ao acaso em foruns ao redor da Net. Eu gostaria de pedir a colaboração de todos para indicar modelos para este post semanal. A única exigência : o modelo tem que ser de livre distribuição e tem que haver um link para esta montagem, de preferência com fotos de várias etapas da montagem. Então, eis aqui o primeiro post:

A great model of a Western Fort, that was published in several parts, weekly, in 1980, inside Disney`s magazines. All the photos of the model in this post are by Mr. Jens, a great German modeler, and were originally posted on the German Forum Kartombau.De (link to original Mr. Jens` post at the end of this post). Seite 42, which does a great work of preservation and dissemination of these old models of Disney, generously shares with us this rare model.

Um belíssimo modelo de um Forte Apache, que foi originalmente encartado semanalmente nas revistas da Disney, durante o ano de 1980. Todas as fotos que ilustram este post, são do Sr. Jens, um grande modelista alemão, que as postou originalmente no forum alemão Kartombau.De (link para a postagem original no fim deste post). O site Seite 42, que faz um belo trabalho de conservação e divulgação destes antigos modelos da Disney, generosamente compartilha este raro Forte Apache conosco.

Here some advances with the Old West Sheriff`s Office. You can see the interior walls and the iron cell. Now, the next step is think in some acessories, like Sheriff`s desk, the armory, some "Wanted" posters and maybe an old telephone wall. As I say before, ideas are welcome and really apreciated.

Eis aqui alguns avanços com o Old West Sheriff`s Office ou Cadeia do Velho Oeste. Você pode ver as paredes internas e as grades enferrujadas da cela. Agora o próximo passo é pensar em alguns acessórios, tais como a mesa de despachos do Xerife, o ármario para o arsenal, alguns posters de "Procurado" e talvez um daqueles antigos telefones de parede. Como eu disse antes, idéias são bem-vindas e apreciadas.

The Blues Brothers is a 1980 musical comedy film directed by John Landis and starring John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd as "Joliet" Jake and Elwood Blues, characters developed from a musical sketch on the NBC variety series Saturday Night Live. It features musical numbers by R&B and soul singers James Brown, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, and John Lee Hooker. The film is set in and around Chicago, Illinois, and also features non-musical supporting performances by John Candy, Carrie Fisher, Charles Napier, and Henry Gibson. The story is a tale of redemption for paroled convict Jake (Belushi) and his brother Elwood (Aykroyd), who take on "a mission from God" to save from foreclosure the Catholic orphanage in which they grew up. To do so they must reunite their rhythm and blues band, The Blues Brothers, and organize a performance to earn $5,000 to pay the tax assessor. Along the way they are targeted by a destructive "mystery woman", Neo-Nazis, and a country and western band—all while being relentlessly pursued by the police. Released in the United States on June 20, 1980, it received generally good reviews. It earned just under $5 million in its opening weekend and went on to gross $115.2 million in theaters worldwide before its release on home video. - Wikipedia


The Blues Brothers (Os Irmãos Caras de Pau (título no Brasil) ou O Dueto da Corda (título em Portugal)) é um filme norte-americano de 1980 do gênero comédia musical, dirigido por John Landis. Estrela o filme a dupla John Belushi e Dan Aykroyd, famosos comediantes do programa de TV "Saturday Night Live" e que depois fariam carreira de sucesso no cinema. Nos quadros musicais muitas canções R&B e soul, interpretadas por grandes nomes: James Brown, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles e John Lee Hooker.
