She says: - "In denmark black cats are connected to the Carnival. The children recieves gold bronced birch rods, decorated with cats, masks, paper in bright colors and candy. This cat is one I remember from my childhood."

Papercuts 2016 Papercraft Contest - Show Your Original Work!

Eric Brown (Squirmydad) has announced that Papercuts 2016 is a go! Since 2011, The Cardboard Warriors forum, in association with many designers, has sponsored a showcase for designers and builders of paper miniatures and paper terrain for miniature gaming. You can view previous contests at One Monk Miniatures website.

This year's categories are:

. Best Single Figure
. Best Multi-figure
. Best Model kit
. Best Tileset
. Papercraft in Action,
. Hot Rod and Kit-bashers

A new category, Print-n-Play - Original game rules, has been added.

There will also be a Best in Show. All voting is done by the forum members. Registration is free. Prizes will be awarded, so that you can go to One Book Shelf stores and get additional books, miniatures or terrain. The Contest keeps getting bigger each year, and welcomes new members to participate in the categories and voting. So, start thinking of ideas. The contest will run from August 1 to August 31, 2016.

My friend Vinicius Tavares, here from Rondonia, Brazil, took the Roadster "Orange Juice" paper model and skillfully passed the templates, which were in a very bad quality, for a high-resolution vector. He also created a completely new poisoned engine, which left the Roadster with a very cool look. He kindly sent me, besides the templates to share here on the blog, some pictures of your beautiful work. What can I say? Ele também criou um motor envenenado completamente novo, que deixou o Roadster com um visual bem nervoso. Ele gentilmente enviou-me, além dos templates para compartilhar aqui no blog, algumas fotos de seu belo trabalho. O que eu posso dizer? It's Kirby with the Magic ability, which only appeared in the Amazing Mirror and Mouse Attack/ Squeak Squad. This was made from scratch. The template in the .zip file looks slightly different than the one on the photograph because I simplified hands and feet so it would be easier to build."

Created by Japanese designer Lulang118 and originally posted at Pepakura Gallery website, this is the paper model version of the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam, the successor mobile suit of ZGMF-X10A Freedom. Appearing in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, it is piloted by Kira Yamato. - You will find the model in two formats: PDF and PDO (Pepakura), so you can print the model with the PDF format and use the PDO format as guide, because it can be visualized in 3D. If you don`t have Pepakura Viewer Free Version yet, the link to download is at the end of this post.
