Perfect for school work, dioramas and wargames and occupying only three printed sheets, this is the paper model of the Great Sphinx of Giza, in Egypt, created by Japanese designer T. Ichiyama exclusively for Canon's website.
The Great Sphinx of Giza, commonly referred to simply as the Sphinx, is a limestone statue depicting a sphinx (a mythical creature with a lion's body and a human head) located on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile River in Giza, Egypt.
The monument's face is generally considered to be a representation of the face of Pharaoh Khafre. It is the largest statue made of monolith in the world, measuring 73.5 meters long, 19.3 meters wide and 20.22 meters high.
It is the oldest known monumental sculpture and is commonly believed to have been constructed by ancient Egyptians of the Old Kingdom during the reign of Pharaoh Khafre (c. 2558–2532 BC).

A Grande Esfinge de Gizé, comumente referida apenas como Esfinge, é uma estátua de pedra calcária que representa uma esfinge (uma criatura mítica com corpo de leão e cabeça humana) localizada no planalto de Gizé, na margem oeste do rio Nilo, em Gizé, Egito.
O rosto do monumento é geralmente considerado como uma representação do rosto do faraó Quéfren. É a maior estátua feita de monólito no mundo, com 73,5 metros de comprimento, 19,3 metros de largura e 20,22 m de altura.
É a mais antiga escultura monumental conhecida e é comumente tida como uma obra construída por egípcios antigos do reino velho Império Antigo durante o reinado do faraó Quéfren (c. 2558–2532 a.C.).
