Firebase Maginot Fortress Paper Model For Dioramas And Wargames by Genet Models

Composed of 24 sheets, this papercraft of a Sc-Fi style fortress called Firebase Maginot was created by American designer, modeler, webmaster and programmer Christopher Roe, from Genet Models website. 

The model is entirely made up of modules and has one and two-story structures. You can create dozens or hundreds of different fortresses simply by moving, adding or removing modules. 

The only limitation will be how many different modules you can assemble before your printer runs out of ink cartridges. 

The instructions are very well done, with images and texts and in addition to the modules for building your fortress, there are also a series of weapons of all types and sizes (image below) to reinforce the critical points of your construction.

O modelo é todo formado em módulos e tem estruturas de um e dois andares. Você pode criar dezenas, ou centenas de fortalezas diferentes bastando para isso mover, adicionar ou remover os módulos. 

A única limitação será quantos módulos diferentes você consegue montar antes que sua impressora esgote os cartuchos de tinta. 

As instruções são muito bem feitas, com imagens e textos e além dos módulos para a contrução de sua fortaleza, também há uma série de armas de todos os tipos e tamanhos (imagem acima) para reforçar os pontos críticos de sua contrução.

Created by Japanese designer Shunichi Makino and occupying only two printed sheets, this ingenious Millenium Falcon pop-up card from Star Wars universe is very easy-to-build and I believe it will open a smile on the face of all fans of the saga.

Bundesbüdchen - The Kiosk In The Old Government District Of Bonn In Germany Paper Model - by Papierdenkmal

Created by the talented German designer and modeler Jens Neuhaus, from Papierdenkmal website and made up of 28 pieces organized on a single sheet of paper, this is the paper model in HO scale (1/87 scale) of the kiosk in the old government district of Bonn, in Germany. 

Regarding this model, Mr. Neuhaus said: - "The legendary kiosk in Bonn's former government district provided political celebrities with news, tobacco products and hot sausages every day. 

Measuring just around 20 square meters and built entirely in the style of the time, the pavilion was established in 1957 as a permanent institution between the Chancellery, the Federal Palace and the Parliament building. 

Although the small building was classified as a historic monument in 2001, five years later it had to make way for a new congress center. Not far from its former location, it was reinstalled in Heussallee in 2020. The historic sales pavilion is now operated by the Historical Sales Pavilion Support Association." 

"Bundesbüdchen" is a German word that can be divided into two parts: "Bundes" refers to the federal or national government, and "Büdchen" is slang for a small shop, typically a kiosk or grocery store. 

Therefore, an approximate translation could be something like "federal kiosk" or "national grocery store." However, it's important to note that this translation may not fully capture the specific meaning or cultural context of the German expression.

Criado pelo talentoso designer e modelista alemão Jens Neuhaus, do site Papierdenkmal e composto de 28 peças organizadas em uma única folha de papel, este é o modelo de papel na escala HO (escala 1/87) do quiosque do antigo distrito governamental de Bonn, na Alemanha. 

A respeito deste modelo, o Sr. Neuhaus disse: - "O lendário quiosque no antigo distrito governamental de Bonn fornecia notícias, produtos de tabacaria e salsichas quentes às celebridades políticas todos os dias. 

Com apenas cerca de 20 metros quadrados e construído inteiramente no estilo da época, o pavilhão estabeleceu-se em 1957 como uma instituição permanente entre a Chancelaria, o Palácio Federal e o edifício do Parlamento. 

Embora o pequeno edifício tenha sido classificado como monumento histórico em 2001, cinco anos depois teve que dar lugar a um novo centro de congressos. Não muito longe de sua antiga localização, foi reinstalado em Heussallee em 2020. O histórico pavilhão de vendas agora é operado pela Historical Sales Pavilion Support Association."

Easy-To-Build Kawasaki City BRT Bus Papercraft For Kids - by Brother

Taking up two printed sheets, this very easy-to-assemble, child-friendly paper model of a BRT bus in the city of Kawasaki, Japan, is offered by Brother's official website. 

This system launched on March 1, 2023 is created by Kawasaki city to try to improve commuter access to coastal industrial area from rail station. Therefore the "BRT" only operate during peak hour of weekdays, and in other times there are regular bus services instead. 

Headway of the BRT is 12 minutes, and it differentiate from regular bus route by skipping all stops between industrial area and the station, thus enable the bus to drive on fast lane of the road, bit there are no bus-only lane, although there are priority signal for bus. 

As typical in Japanese BRT system, the most significant feature of this "BRT" is the use of articulated bus which have hogher capacity and more seats than regular buses. 

The system is about 5.4 km long, take about 20 minutes to complete the trip, hence its timetable speed is about 16km/h, a bit faster than the Japanese average BRT system speed of 15km/h. 

The Kawasaki BRT is a fast and comfortable means of transport that mainly meets the needs of workers in the city of Kawazaki. 

BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) is a term used for urban transport systems with buses, which are the target of considerable improvements in infrastructure, vehicles and operational measures that result in a more attractive quality of service.

Ocupando duas folhas impressas, este modelo de papel bem fácil de montar, próprio para crianças de um ônibus BRT da cidade de Kawasaki, no Japão, é oferecido pelo site oficial da Brother. 

Este sistema lançado em 1º de março de 2023 foi criado pela cidade de Kawasaki para tentar melhorar o acesso dos passageiros à área industrial costeira a partir da estação ferroviária. Portanto, o "BRT" opera apenas nos horários de pico dos dias de semana, e em outros horários há serviços regulares de ônibus. 

O intervalo do BRT é de 12 minutos, e se diferencia da rota regular de ônibus por pular todas as paradas entre a área industrial e a estação, permitindo assim que o ônibus circule na faixa rápida da estrada. 

Como é típico no sistema BRT japonês, a característica mais significativa deste “BRT” é a utilização de ônibus articulados que possuem maior capacidade e mais assentos do que os ônibus normais.

Papercraft Buildings And Skycrapers In 1/265 Scale For Wargames And Dioramas - by R/Battletech

R/Battletech is a boardgame aficionado, more specifically BattleTech, and he is the author of these papercrafts of buildings and skyscrapers in 1/265 scale that can be used in scenarios for games of this type. 

On his profile at Reddit community he defines his priorities as "All things BattleTech, including the tabletop games, miniatures, fiction and video games". 

Regarding these papercrafts, he said: “Each section (of the buildings) can be printed individually so that the height is modular. There are two types of towers for the top. The one you see in the photos and the one with a spiral structure that houses one of the housing sections. This should become clearer when you look at the templates. 

I printed everything on standard office paper, but I think card stock (thicker) might be easier to work with. Pasting the pattern paper was a little tricky due to the octagonal shape. 

I hope you like these buildings. I will also upload some variants with murals. Please be aware that the paper size is A4, so you may need to resize before printing".

A respeito destes papercrafts, ele disse: "Cada seção (dos prédios) pode ser impressa individualmente para que a altura seja modular. Existem dois tipos de torres para o topo. Aquela que você vê nas fotos e aquela com estrutura em espiral que abriga uma das seções habitacionais. Isso deve ficar mais claro quando você olha os templates. 

Eu imprimí tudo em papel padrão, de escritório, mas acho que papel cartão (mais grosso) pode ser mais fácil de trabalhar. A colagem do papel padrão foi um pouco complicada devido ao formato octogonal. 

Espero que vocês gostem destes edifícios. Também carregarei algumas variantes com murais. Esteja ciente de que o tamanho do papel é A4 ,então talvez você precise redimensionar antes de imprimir".
