Neu-Montfort Castle In Austria Paper Model In 1/140 Scale by HS-Goetizis

This Austrian castle is still located in the middle of the Rhine valley, in the Neu-Montfort region. It was built in the second half of the 13th century and was first mentioned in scriptures in 1319. Some curiosities about this ancient castle: an inventory from 1594 provides an overview of its scarce furniture: six tables, nine beds, eight chests of various sizes, a crib and the so-called "Scheibkar", a bed frame with one or two wheels that could be pushed under the main bed when not in use. Only one of the beds mentioned had a silk canopy (to keep insects away). In the large courtyard of the castle there was a stable and shed and perhaps also a latrine. The cut sheet is based on a 1974 reconstruction drawing by Franz Josef Huber.

Este castelo austríaco ainda hoje situa-se no meio do vale do Reno, na região de Neu-Montfort. Ele foi construído na segunda metade do século XIII e foi mencionado pela primeira vez em escrituras em 1319. Algumas curiosidades sobre este antigo castelo: um inventário de 1594 fornece uma visão geral de seus móveis escassos: seis mesas, nove camas, oito baús de vários tamanhos, um berço e o chamado "Scheibkar" ,uma estrutura de cama com uma ou duas rodas que poderia ser empurrada para debaixo da cama principal quando não estivesse em uso. Apenas uma das camas mencionadas tinha um dossel de seda (para manter os insetos afastados). No grande pátio do castelo havia um estábulo e um galpão e provavelmente também uma latrina. The "Canoa" Of Punta Umbría Paper Model - by President Adams

Created by Spanish desginer and modeler President Adams, from Las Maquetas de Mamarro website, this is the paper model version of the "Canoa" of Punta Umbría , a passenger boat that covers the journey between Huelva and Punta Umbría (Andalusia, Spain) through the Estuary of Odiel, called so populary in Huelva`s area. These boats appeared around 1910 to cover this route connecting Huelva with the beach of Punta Umbría, in that time unacessible by land.

Criado pelo designer e modelista espanhol President Adams, do site Las Maquetas de Mamarro, esta é a versão em papel da "Canoa" de Punta Umbría, um barco de passageiros que cobre a viagem entre Huelva e Punta Umbría (Andaluzia, Espanha) pelo estuário de Odiel, tão popular na área de Huelva. Esses barcos apareceram por volta de 1910 para cobrir esta rota que liga Huelva à praia de Punta Umbría, naquele tempo inacessível por terra.

As part of the restructuring and cleaning of the blog, today I post here a model originally published in November, 2014. This is a simple pop-up paper model in only one sheet of paper. No secrets here, just cut in the red lines and fold in the black lines. As you can see, it can be used as display for Playmobil miniatures and similars. Enjoy!

Como parte da reestruturação e limpeza do blog, hoje posto aqui um modelo originalmente publicado em Novembro de 2014. Este é um modelo de papel simples em estilo pop-up, que ocupa uma única folha de papel. Não há segredos aqui, basta cortar nas linhas vermelhas e dobrar nas linhas pretas. Como você pode ver, ele pode ser usado como display de miniaturas Playmobil e similares. Bom divertimento!

The Ancient Ryounkaku Tower Paper Model - by 12 Kai

Ryounkaku Tower, In All Its Splendor...

For 33 years, Ryounkaku [Cloud surpassing pavilion] towered over Asakusa and the surrounding city. Completed in 1890, built of brick over a wood frame, the twelve-story Ryounkaku stood out among the more typical two-, three- or four-story buildings that were common in Meiji-era Tokyo. Because of its height, Ryounkaku was known locally as Ju-ni-kai (Twelve-stories). Its height was of notable achievement. It was the tallest building in the Eastern hemisphere when completed; only some 70-feet shorter in 1890 than the then-world's tallest building, the New York World building. Inside "Twelve-Stories" was Japan's first elevator; the tower was lit on every floor, with an additional row of arc lights perched above the outdoor observation deck. A strong tremor in 1894 weakened the tower, producing a slight lean. In its aftermath, Ryounkaku was reinforced with steel girders. Unfortunately, the reinforced tower was no match for the 1923 Kanto earthquake and the towering landmark was reduced to rubble.

Por 33 anos, o Ryounkaku (Pavilhão sobre as Nuvens) erguia-se imponente sobre a cidade Asakusa Concluída em 1890, construída com tijolos sobre um esqueleto de madeira, o Ryounkaku, com seus doze andares se destacava entre os típicos prédios de dois, três ou quatro andares que eram mais comuns na era Meiji, em Tóquio. Devido à sua altura, o Ryounkaku era conhecido localmente como Ju-ni-kai (Doze Pavimentos). Sua altura era era um grande feito arquitetônico para a época. Foi o edifício mais alto do hemisfério oriental, quando concluído. Era apenas alguns metros menor que o maior edifício mais alto até então construído em todo o mundo, o New York World building. Neste edifício foi instalado o primeiro elevador do Japão. Um forte tremor em 1894 enfraqueceu a torre, então ela foi reforçada com vigas de aço. Infelizmente, a torre, mesmo reforçada, não foi páreo para o terremoto de Kanto de 1923 e este marco imponente do Japão foi reduzido a escombros. O Japão, ao invés de se lamentar, aprendeu a lição e hoje exporta tecnologia anti terremotos para o mundo todo.

As part of the restructuring and cleaning of the blog, today I post here a model originally published in January, 2018. This paper model was created using textures taking from GTA V videogame. As I play the PS4 version, I can not save print screens, so I shoot and save on Snapmatic. So I go to the Rockstar Social Club and down the photos to my HD. Hence I work these photos in MsPaint. I think this model, in approximate 1/64 scale, will be useful as a stand for Hot Wheels, Matchbox, and the like miniatures. The model occupies five sheets of paper.

Como parte da reestruturação e limpeza do blog, hoje posto aqui um modelo originalmente publicado em Janeiro de 2018. Este modelo de papel foi criado usando texturas tiradas do videogame GTA V. Como eu jogo a versão do PS4, eu não posso salvar print screens, então eu fotografo e salvo no Snapmatic. Então eu vou ao Rockstar Social Club e baixo as fotos para meu HD. Daí eu trabalho estas fotos no MsPaint. Eu creio que este modelo, na escala aproximada de 1/64, será útil como stand para miniaturas Hot Wheels, Matchbox e similares. O modelo ocupa cinco folhas de papel.

In Japan, children often play a game that mimics the famous Sumo Wrestling. They do it by hand, drawing the characters themselves and improvising the ring in cardboard boxes. The rules are simple: each child positions his fighter inside the ring and drumming his fingers outside the ring boundaries, trying to get his fighter into the enclosed space while trying to push his friend's fighter out.

Japanese designer Shunsuke Satake made this pleasant game even more attractive and colorful by creating this printable game, with several characters ready, more molds for the child to create his fighters and also a ring with fans, which can be glued in a little cardboard box.

No Japão, as crianças costumam brincar de um jogo que imita as famosas lutas de sumô. Elas o fazem artesanalmente, desenhando os próprios personagens e improvisando o ringue em caixas de papelão. As regras são simples: cada criança posiciona seu lutador dentro do ringue e tamborilando com os dedos fora dos limites do ringue, tentam fazer com que seu lutador fique dentro do espaço delimitado enquanto tenta empurrar o lutador do amigo para fora.

O designer japonês Shunsuke Satake tornou esse agradável jogo ainda mais atraente e colorido ao criar este jogo imprimível, com vários personagens prontos, mais alguns moldes para a criança criar seus lutadores e também um ringue com seus torcedores, que podem ser colados em uma pequena caixa de papelão.
