The Ephemeral Museum - Port Of Huelva`s Old Locomotives Depot by Manuel Marquez

My friend, the Spanish designer and modeler Manuel Marquez created this beautiful paper model of the Port of Huelva`s Old Locomotives Depot and kindly sent me, besides the beautiful photos, also a link so that everyone who likes, can download and assemble your own. Manuel said: "Hello again, Mauther! I am sending you these photos of one of my works for the Ephemeral Museum. This is the Port of Huelva`s Old Locomotives Depot. Is a reinforced concrete and bricks building that mixes modernist and art noveau architecture and was built in 1909 by French engineer Montenegro. The building was renovated in 2002 and today houses the historic archiveand a reception center. At the side of this building there is another old warehouse which now houses a cultural hall and a theater. This complex is located at Zafra Park, in front of the Levante pier, in Huelva (Spain)."

Meu amigo, o designer e modelista espanhol Manuel Marquez criou este belo modelo de papel do Antigo Depósito de Locomotivas do Porto de Huelva e gentilmente enviou-me, além das belas fotos, também um link para que todos que gostarem, possam baixar e montar o seu. Manuel disse: - "Olá novamente, Mauther! Eu te envio estas fotos de um dos meus trabalhos para o Ephemeral Museum. Este é o Antigo Depósito de Locomotivas do Porto de Huelva. É um edifício de concreto armado e tijolos que mistura arquitetura modernista e art noveau. Foi construído em 1909 pelo engenheiro francês Montenegro. O edifício foi reformado em 2002 e hoje abriga o arquivo histórico do porto um centro de recepções. Ao lado desta construção, há outro velho depósito de locomotivas que agora abriga um salão cultural e um teatro. Este complexo está localizado no Parque de Zafra, em frente ao cais de Levante, em Huelva (Espanha)."

About the Ephemeral Museum:

I "am in the paper modeling" since 2005, although I've had contact with paper models from my childhood in the 1970s, via magazines that were sold sporadically in newsagents. I remember magazines with houses to build and dioramas/playsets of airports, western forts, nativity scenes and the like. With the advent of the internet what happened was simply a revival of the papercraft hobby for me and many other people of my generation. Today I am opening a new session here on the blog, the Ephemeral Museum , which is a place where I will show some of the models that I built all these years. I would also like this to be a space where all modelers friends could show their work, so if anyone wants to participate in this "museum", just send photos of your work and a few words, if you want, to the e-mail:

All who submit their work will be published, without exceptions.


Eu "estou no papelmodelismo" desde 2005, embora eu já tivesse contato com modelos de papel desde minha infância, nos anos 1970, via revistas que eram vendidas esporadicamente em bancas de jornal. Lembro que haviam revistas com casas para montar e dioramas/playsets de aeroportos, fortes-apache, presépios e coisas do tipo. Com o advento da internet o que houve foi simplesmente um renascimento do hobby do papelmodelismo para mim e muitas outras pessoas de minha geração. Hoje eu estou inaugurando uma nova sessão aqui no blog, o Ephemeral Museum, que é um lugar aonde irei mostrar alguns dos modelos que eu construí em todos estes anos. Também gostaria que esse fosse um espaço aonde todos os amigos modelistas pudessem mostrar seus trabalhos, sendo assim, se alguém quiser participar deste "museu", basta mandar fotos de seu trabalho e algumas palavras para o e-mail abaixo:

Although it may appear at first sight, ehis is not a tombstone, this is the Memorial Stele of the Zinzendorfia road (Opicina, Triest). The Stele was made in 1780, under the Austrian Empire. This paper model was created by Italian designer and modeler Guido, from Guido's Paper Works website.

Embora à primeira vista possa parecer, isto não é uma lápide, esta é a Estela Memorial da estrada Zinzendorfia (Opicina, Trieste). A Estela foi feita em 1780, durante o Império Austríaco. Este modelo de papel foi criado pelo designer e modelista italiano Guido, do site Paper Works de Guido.

A beautiful model occupying four sheets of paper of the Iglesia De La Asunción (Church Of Asunción), situated is Tobarra, Spain. A nice architectural paper model for colonial themed wargames. 

The Church of the Assumption is a Catholic church located in Tobarra, in the region of Murcia, in southern Spain. 

It was built in the 18th century, between 1750 and 1780, and features a Baroque style with typical ornamental elements of the period. 

The interior is richly decorated with paintings and sculptures. The church is considered a notable example of Baroque religious architecture in the Murcia region of southern Spain. 

It is one of the most important landmarks of Tobarra and is frequently used for cultural and religious events.

Um belo modelo ocupando quatro folhas de papel da Iglesia De La Asunción (Igreja de Assunção), situada em Tobarra, na Espanha. 

Um modelo arquitetônico bem legal para wargames com temática colonial. A Igreja da Assunção é uma igreja católica localizada em Tobarra, na região de Múrcia, no sul da Espanha. 

Ela foi construída no século XVIII, mais precisamente entre os anos 1750 e 1780. Ela ostenta um estilo barroco, com elementos ornamentais típicos do período, com um interior ricamente decorado com pinturas e esculturas. 

A igreja é considerada um exemplo notável da arquitetura religiosa barroca na região de Múrcia, no sul da Espanha. 

Ela é um dos marcos mais importantes de Tobarra e é frequentemente usada para eventos culturais e religiosos.

Halloween Special - The Spider Collection Decorative Paper Model by Ravensblight

Ray O`Bannon, from RavensBlight website, the designer of this cool Spider Collection, says: - "If you've been bothered by the lack of a proper display of spiders to adorn your chamber walls, but haven't had time to gather up a nice assortment for yourself, you're in luck! This collection includes eight different varieties of spider, with three sizes of each, so you can choose which ones to display. A display frame is also included, as well as name tags for each spider."

Ray O`Bannon, do site RavensBlight, o designer desta bela Coleção de Aranhas, diz: - "Se você estiver preocupado com a falta de um bom display para exibição de aranhas para decorar as paredes de sua câmara, mas ainda não conseguiu aranhas o bastante, você está com sorte! Esta coleção inclui oito diferentes variedades de aranha, em três tamanhos cada uma, assim você pode escolher as que deseja expor. Uma moldura de exibição também está incluída, assim como etiquetas para nomear cada aranha."

Created by Venezuelan designer Mario Clemente, from Papertoys Clemper website, here is a wearable mask paper model of Jeff the Killer, that is perfect for Halloween parties and Cosplayers. Jeffrey Woods, also known as Jeff the Killer, is the titular main protagonist of the creepypasta story of the same name writen by Sesseur, and tells the history of a guy who loses his sanity and begins murdering to satisfy his homicidal urges. Creepypastas are horror-related legends or images that have been copied and pasted around the Internet.
These Internet entries are often brief, user-generated, paranormal stories intended to scare readers. They include gruesome tales of murder, suicide, and otherworldly occurrences.
