1962`s Tesla Radio Receiver Paper Model - by Broken Papercrafts

This is a 1962 radio receiver manufactured by TESLA, a Czech electronics company. Ehis cool decorative paper model was created by designer Brokensoul, from Broken Papercrafts website. I think it can be used as a Iphone dock station, with some little interventions. To view and print this model you will need Pepakura Viewer Free Version (link at the end of this post).

Este é um antigo rádio receptor de 1962, fabricado pela TESLA, uma companhia eletrônica tcheca. Este belo modelo decorativo foi criado pelo designer Brokensoul, do site Broken Papercrafts. Mais um grande modelo, obra de Somodi Zoltán. Paulo Bardelli, um amigo do blog, gentilmente traduziu alguns textos da página de Zoltán, e me enviou suas explanações, que abaixo transcrevo:

"Belíssimos modelos no site do autor. São realmente pintados à mão, pois segundo ele (pelo que compreendi dos textos) se fossem coloridos tirariam a liberdade artística para quem monta. Ele também não recomenda estes modelos para crianças e escolas, dada a dificuldade dos mesmos."
"Nos primeiros posts do site (mais antigos) ele menciona que a pintura é feita com lápis de cor, e que esses modelos eram uma alternativa aos carrinhos Matchbox para se brincar. Interessante é que os modelos de veículos têm a opção de ser montados com interior, apesar das fotos dos modelos montados estarem sempre com os vidros em papel direto, sem vazados. Deve haver mais de cem veículos diferentes no site, entre carros, caminhões e aeronaves, além de umas quarenta construções..." - Paulo Bardelli

Their name comes from the Swedish province Dalarna where they were often made. Known for their hand painted designs and the warm feeling of their wood, they are popular around the world, as "luck-bringing horses." - This paper model was created by Japanese designer Ayumu Saito, comissioned by Canon website.

Apesar de terem sido originalmente feitos como brinquedos das crianças, estes cavalinhos criaram toda uma indústria que emprega muita gente. The Daihatsu Copen is a 2-door roadster with an aluminium retractable hardtop built by the Japanese car company Daihatsu. It debuted at the 1999 Tokyo Motor Show, as the Daihatsu Copen concept. The second generation model debuted as the Kopen at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. As the real thing, you can choose between eight different colors.
