Tomb Raider is a media franchise consisting of video games, comic books, novels, theme park rides, and movies, centring around the adventures of the fictional British archaeologist Lara Croft. Since the release of the original Tomb Raider in 1996, the series developed into a lucrative franchise of related media, and Lara went on to become a major icon of the virtual gaming industry. The Guinness Book of World Records has recognised Lara Croft as the "Most Successful Human Virtual Game Heroine" in 2006. The first six games in the series were developed by Core Design, whilst Crystal Dynamics developed the latest four; their fifth game is currently in production. Two movies - Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life - have been produced starring American actress Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft, the first of which is still the highest-grossing film adapation of a video game ever released in U.S., and second worldwide behind Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

Eu sou fá de Tomb Raider desde o Playstation 1 e eu me lembro da primeira vez que joguei. tudo no jogo era revolucionário: os gráficos, a física e o mais legal,uma garota como personagem principal! Tomb Raider é uma série de jogos, histórias em quadrinhos e filmes tendo como protagonista a personagem Lara Croft. Desde o lançamento do primeiro Tomb Raider, em 1996, as séries tiveram um grande lucro e Lara transformou-se no principal ícone da indústria de video-jogos/vídeo games. O Guiness Book reconheceu Lara Croft como "a heroína de video-jogo/vídeo game mais bem sucedida" em 2006. Seis jogos da série foram desenvolvidos pela Core Design, e os três últimos pela Crystal Dynamics. Todos os jogos foram publicados pela Eidos Interactive, que mantém os direitos dos personagens e a marca registrada de Tomb Raider. About Toys In The Attic by Papermau:

Toys in the Attic is the third album by American rock band Aerosmith, released in April 1975. Is also a name of a 1963`s drama movie with Dean Martin and Geraldine Page. Now, because this is a really nice name, this will be the name of a new session of Papermau`s blog. In this session I will share old original and exclusive paper models posted more than a year here in the blog. It's a way of not letting these models get lost among over 3,000 posts in a year and a half of existence of the blog.

Toys in the Attic (Brinquedos no Sotão) é o nome do terceiro album da banda norte-americana de rock Aerosmith, lançado em 1975. É também o nome de um drama para o cinema de 1963 chamado aqui no Brasil de Na Voragem das Paixões, que contava no elenco com Dean Martin (o parceiro do Rat Pack e de Jerry Lewis) e Geraldine Page. Agora, porque eu acho esse um título muito legal, Toys in the Attic será o nome de uma nova sessão do blog Papermau. Nesta sessão eu publicarei antigos modelos de papel originais e exclusivos postados há um ano ou mais. Esta é a maneira que encontrei para que estes modelos não fiquem perdidos e esquecidos entre mais de três mil postagens feitas em um ano e meio de existência do blog.

Reinhard Fabisch, German modeler from Kartonbau.De Forum, built this cool paper model of the Yamaha VMax 1990, classic motorcycle from Yamaha Motors. He makes some nice customizations in the model and documented the whole process with several photos, that you can see on the link at the end of this post. You also will find the link to download this really beautiful and detailed free paper model.

This really nice paper model from Star Wars Universe was created by Noturno Sukhoi team.
The Single Trooper Aerial Platform (STAP-1 or STAP) was an agile flying machine designed for use by the Trade Federation's and Confederacy of Independent Systems' B1 battle droids. Each STAP was piloted by a single B1 battle droid that stood on a long foot panel, gripping a pair of handles that controlled its weapons and were used to pilot the craft.B1 battle droids usually piloted these STAPs. - Wikipedia

"Essa estranha plataforma aérea é o STAP (Single Trooper Aerial Platform), um transporte ligeiro usado pelo “Exército Separatista” da “Confederação dos Sistemas Independentes” e pela “Federação do Comercio” como veiculo de reconhecimento, escolta e anti-infantaria. Levando apenas um dróid, geralmente um “B1”, e armado com um canhão blaster de cano duplo, o STAP é um veiculo ágil e rápido atingindo velocidades de até 400 km/h, e conta com isso para se desviar dos disparos das armas, já que seu designe aberto o torna vulnerável ao fogo inimigo!" - Noturno Sukhoi
