The Ancient Greek Temple - A 2012 Papermau Original ModelRevised Version - Download Now!

This paper model of an Ancient Greek Temple was published here on the blog in March 2012. Then, with the massive virus attack that the blog suffered in 2019, almost two thousand posts had to be deleted and recreated from scratch. 

In the process, I lost the templates for this temple that were hosted on the once-reliable Rapidshare (in fact, I lost many of the original templates at that time).

But last week, looking through old CDs and pendrives, I ended up finding a folder with the original templates for this model. In addition to the templates, I also found several photos with the temple assembly. 

Today I leave the templates for anyone who wants to download. I revised the sheets and added some texts indicating where each piece goes and some tips for better finishing. 

The Greek Temple was entirely made in MsPaint and is very easy to assemble, with just a few pieces, suitable for school work or wargames. 

Some blog friends said that this temple is Roman. Others said it is Greek. Well, I'm not a historian and I'm not a precious scientist, so I believe this model can be classified as Greek-Roman. 

I combined everything into a single PDF, thus eliminating the possibility of printing the sheets at different scales. Tomorrow I'll post photos of the assembly.

Nesse processo, eu perdi os templates deste templo que estavam hospedados no no outrora confiável Rapidshare (na verdade, perdi muitos modelos originais nessa época). 

Mas na última semana, vasculhando velhos Cds e pendrives, acabei encontrando uma pasta com os templates originais desse modelo. Além dos templates, também achei várias fotos com a montagem do templo. 

Hoje deixo os templates para quem quiser baixar. Revisei as folhas e adicionei alguns textos indicando onde vai cada peça e algumas dicas para melhor acabamento. 

O Templo Grego foi todo feito no MsPaint e é bem fácil de montar, com poucas peças, próprio para trabalhos escolares ou para wargames. 

Alguns amigos do blog disseram que este templo é romano. Outros disseram que é grego. Bem, eu não sou historiador e não sou preciosista, então creio que esse modelo pode ser classificado como grego-romano. 

Juntei tudo em um único PDF, assim fica eliminada a possibilidade de imprimir as folhas em escalas diferentes. Amanhã posto as fotos da montagem.

The Ancient Greek Temple - A 2012 Papermau Original Model Revised Version - Download Next Wednesday!

This paper model of an Ancient Greek Temple was published here on the blog in March 2012. 

Then, with the massive virus attack that the blog suffered in 2019, almost two thousand posts had to be deleted and recreated from scratch. 

In the process, I lost the templates for this model that were hosted on the once-reliable Rapidshare (in fact, I lost many of the original templates at that time). 

But last week, looking through old CDs and pendrives, I ended up finding a folder with the original templates for this model. 

In addition to the templates, I also found several photos showing the assembly of this model. 

Now I'm going to review everything and switch to a single PDF, since the originals were divided into four sheets in JPG format. 

Next Wednesday I will publish the Ancient Greek Temple, ok? Good week everyone!

Agra Fort In India Paper Model - by M.Kajiwara - via Canon

Occupying twenty printed pages and with super detailed instructions, here is a beautiful paper version of the Agra Fort created by the Japanese designer M. Kajiwara exclusively for the Canon website. 

Agra Fort, located in the city of Agra, India, is one of the country's most famous historical monuments and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is known for its imposing architecture and historical significance. 

It was built by Emperor Akbar of the Mughal dynasty in the 16th century. It was used as a royal residence and also played a significant role as the administrative center of the empire. 

Agra Fort is strategically located on the banks of the Yamuna River and offers a stunning view of the iconic Taj Mahal, which is nearby. This location makes Agra Fort a popular spot to appreciate the breathtaking view of the Taj Mahal.

It features a blend of architectural styles, including Islamic and Hindu influences. Its highlights include the Jahangir Tower, the Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audiences), and the Diwan-i-Am (Hall of Public Audiences), all showcasing elaborate architectural details and magnificent craftsmanship. 

There is an interesting legend associated with Agra Fort concerning the construction of the Taj Mahal, one of the world's most famous monuments, located nearby. The legend suggests that Emperor Shah Jahan, who commissioned the construction of the Taj Mahal, had originally planned to build a second Taj Mahal in black marble on the other side of the Yamuna River as a memorial to himself. 

This supposed "Black Taj Mahal" would have been identical to the white Taj Mahal but made of black marble. However, the legend states that before Shah Jahan could carry out this plan, his son Aurangzeb deposed him and imprisoned him in Agra Fort.

It is said that Shah Jahan spent his final years in Agra Fort, gazing through the fort's windows at the Taj Mahal, where his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal was interred. He would have died in the fort, never realizing his plan to build the "Black Taj Mahal." 

This story is more of a legend than a historically proven fact. Nevertheless, it adds a layer of romance and tragedy to the history of the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.

Ocupando vinte folhas impressas e com instruções super detalhadas, eis aqui uma bela versão em papel do Forte Agra criada pelo designer japonês M.Kajiwara exclusivamente para o site da Canon. 

O Forte Agra, localizado na cidade de Agra, na Índia, é um dos monumentos históricos mais famosos do país e um Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO. Ele é conhecido por sua arquitetura imponente e sua importância histórica. 

Ele foi construído pelo imperador Akbar, da dinastia Mughal, no século XVI. Era usado como residência real e também desempenhou um papel significativo como centro administrativo do império. 

O Forte Agra está estrategicamente localizado nas margens do rio Yamuna e oferece uma vista deslumbrante do icônico Taj Mahal, que fica nas proximidades. Essa localização torna o Forte Agra um local popular para apreciar a vista deslumbrante do Taj Mahal.

Amazonian River Boat Paper Model - The Test Build - by Papermau

Here are the first photos of the test build, or beta, of the Amazonian River Boat. I'll try to publish it by Sunday, but the truth is that I'm still struggling with some parts to make the model less complicated at the time of assembly. 

Anyway, it was good to know that the model is "buildable" and that all the parts fit in their proper places. 

I used 180-weight recycled paper which has a color that resembles burnt cement and gave the model a really nice look.

This grammage makes the boat have a very strong structure, but I believe that 150 or even 120 grams are enough. More soon.

Aqui estão as primeiras fotos da montagem de teste, ou beta, do Amazonian River Boat. Eu vou tentar publicá-lo até domingo, mas a verdade é que eu ainda estou brigando com algumas peças para fazer o modelo menos complicado na hora da montagem. 

De qualquer forma, foi bom saber que o modelo é "montável" e que todas as peças se encaixam em seus devidos lugares. 

Eu usei papel reciclado de gramatura 180 que tem uma cor que se assemelha a cimento queimado e deu uma aparência bem legal ao modelo. 

Essa gramatura faz com que o barco tenha uma estrutura bem forte, mas creio que 150 ou mesmo 120 gramas já sejam o bastante. Mais em breve.

A Fantasy Stone Bridge For Dioramas And Wargames - by PapermauDownload This Week!

With minor changes to what was shown in the first post (link at the end of this post), this is the final model of the Stone Bridge with Three Arches. 

I've already printed it and I'm starting the beta assembly to see if there are errors in the proportion between the parts, missing tabs, etc. Tonight I'll see if I can post some pictures of the assembly. See you later.

Já imprimi e estou começando a montagem beta para ver se há erros de proporção entre as partes, abas faltando, etc. Hoje à noite vou ver se consigo postar algumas fotos da montagem. Até mais.
