The ensemble of Bad Urach's old town shown in the model consists of the old town hall, the market fountain, and two half-timbered houses.
The old town hall was built around 1440 and expanded in 1562. Until the mid-19th century, bakers and butchers sold their products on the ground floor, and later there was a fruit market, followed by a municipal hall from 1939.
Today, the city administration is housed in the old town hall.
The fountain in the small market square was erected around 1500 by the sculptor Martin Hillebrant. It features a five meters column rich in figures, and its water comes from the Eckis spring, a karst spring on the slope of Eichenhalde, which is channeled naturally to the market fountain.
