With sadness, I transcribe below the news of the passing of the great Portuguese Modeler, Mr. José Reis:
Dear all,
It is with great sadness I must tell you that my father, José Reis, passed away today after a brave battle with cancer. During the last few years modeling was a very important part of his life, a source of much joy and friendship. On his behalf I'd like to thank his readers for all your support and encouragement. In his memory, I will maintain this blog and continue to share the files of his beloved Up House with those of you who express an interest by e-mail (alexandra.reis@gmail.com). A special hug to the guys at the CCCP for making him feel so welcome. He was very proud to be a member.

É com grande tristeza que os informo que o meu pai, José Reis, faleceu hoje depois de uma corajosa batalha contra o cancro. Durante os últimos anos, o modelismo foi uma parte muito importante da sua vida, uma fonte de muita alegria e amizade. Em seu nome gostaria de agradecer todos os leitores do blog, o vosso apoio e encorajamento. Em sua memoria, vou manter o blog e continua a partilhar os ficheiros da sua adorada Casa Up com os leitores que me contactem por e-mail (alexandra.reis@gmail.com). Um abraço especial aos membros do CCCP, por fazerem senti-lo tão bem-vindo ao grupo. Ele tinha muito orgulho em ser membro.
