X Universe - Argon Buster Spaceship Paper Model - by Ciprian

This very well done paper model with great textures of the Argon Buster Spaceship, from X Universe games series, was created by designer Ciprian, aka The4ce.

X is a science fiction space trading and combat simulator series created by German developer Egosoft. The series is set in the X-Universe where several races populate a number of worlds connected by jumpgates.

The games feature free roaming gameplay with trading, combat, empire building, and missions; leading to the series' phrase Trade, Fight, Build, Think. 

You will find the model in two formats: PDF and PDO (Pepakura), so you can print the model with the PDF format and use the PDO format as guide, because it can be visualized in 3D.

Using Pepakura, when the file opens, you will be asked for a password. Just ignore it and click on the option "open with Pekaura Viewer" that appears right below the password space.

Este modelo de papel muito bem feito e com ótimas texturas da Nave Espacial Argon Buster, da série de games X Universe, foi criado pelo designer Ciprian, aka The4ce.

X é uma série de games de ficção científica, um simulador de combate criado pela desenvolvedora alemã Egosoft. A série está situada no X-Universo, onde várias raças vivem em mundos ligados por portais espaciais. 

Os jogos são em tempo real e envolvem comércio, combate, construção do império e missões, dando sentido o lema da série: "Negocie, Lute, Construa, Pense".

Você encontrará o modelo em dois formatos: PDF e PDO (Pepakura), então você pode usar o PDF para imprimir as peças e o PDO como guia de montagem, já que com ele você pode visualizar o modelo em 3D.

Usando o Pepakura, quando o arquivo abrir, vai ser pedido uma senha. Apenas ignore e clique na opção "abra com o Pepakura Viewer" que aparece logo abaixo do espaço de senha.

The Tronoën Chapel and Calvary Paper Model - by Secanda Models

This is the Tronoën Chapel and Calvary in western Brittany, France, the newest paper model created by my friend, the French designer and modeler Secanda.

The Tronoën Chapel and Calvary is a 15th century chapel situated in the dunes of western Brittany, in France. Such a situation and its beauty led Breton people to nickname it as the "Cathedral of the sands".The paper model includes the chapel and the calvary. 

The entire template takes up 31 sheets: one sheet tells a little about the history of the chapel in French and English, another gives valuable tips on how to assemble paper models.

There are also 12 sheets with detailed instructions and 14 more sheets of printable parts. The model is 1/100 scale and for sturdy construction, Secanda recommends printing on 120 or 160 weight paper.

Some curiosities about Secanda and his creative process, in his own words: - "Secanda means "stuff to cut" in Latin language. I use just an old basic multilayer photo editor, that I use as a paper with pencil and compass.

I don't use 3D editors because first I don't know at all how to use them and then I don't like very much the paper models made only with 3D tools. For my taste, they look often as nightclub mirror balls... 

For my taste again, it's better to feel the hand of the drawer even if the result is rougher and less perfect. However the real reason is maybe I'm too lazy or too stupid or too old, or the three in the same time, to learn how to use a 3D editor."

Esta é a Capela e Calvário de Tronoën no leste da Bretanha, França, o mais novo modelo de papel criado por meu amigo, o designer e modelista francês Secanda.

A Capela e Calvário de Tronoën é uma capela do século XV situada nas dunas da Bretanha ocidental, na França. Tal situação e sua beleza levaram os bretões a apelidá-la como a "Catedral das Areias". A maquete em papel inclui a capela e o calvário. 

O template todo ocupa 31 folhas, sendo que um folha conta um pouco da história da capela em francês e inglês, uma outra dá valiosas dicas de como montar modelos de papel.

Também há 12 folhas com instruções detalhadas e mais 14 folhas de peças para impressão. O modelo está na escala 1/100 e para uma construção resistente, Secanda recomenda a impressão em papel de gramatura 120 ou 160.

Algumas curiosidades sobre Secanda e seu processo criativo, nas palavras do próprio: - "Secanda significa "coisas para cortar" em latim. Eu uso apenas um velho editor de fotos básicas multicamadas, que uso como papel, lápis e compasso.

Eu não uso editores 3D porque primeiro eu não sei como usá-los e eu não gosto muito dos modelos de papel feitos apenas com ferramentas 3D. Para o meu gosto, eles parecem frequentemente com bolas espelhadas de discoteca ... 

Na minha opinião novamente, é melhor sentir a mão no desenho, mesmo se o resultado for mais rude e menos perfeito. No entanto, a verdadeira razão é que talvez eu seja muito preguiçoso ou muito estúpido ou muito velho, ou os três ao mesmo tempo, para aprender como usar um editor 3D."
