Christmas Time - Nativity Set Paper Model Collection - Part 02

This is the second part of the Nativity Set Paper Model Collection. Since 2011 I've posted more than 65 paper models of Christmas Cribs/Christmas Nativity scenes. 

In this series of posts I will post them again, as a way to facilitate the search for those who appreciate this kind of Christmas decoration.

1994`s Volvo 850 BTCC Paper Model In SD Style - by Yoshinani

Created by Japanese designer and modeler Yoshinani, this is the paper model version in SD style (super deformed style) of the 1994`s Volvo 850 BTCC (British Touring Car Championship). 

To view and print this model you will need Pepakura Viewer Free Version (link at the end of this post). 

When the file opens, you will be asked for a password. Just ignore it and click on the option "open with Pekaura Viewer" that appears right below the password space.

Criada pelo designer e modelista japonês Yoshinani, esta é a versão em papel no estilo SD (estilo super deformado) do Volvo 850 BTCC (British Touring Car Championship) de 1994.

WWI`s De Havilland Airco DH2 Fighter Aircraft Paper Model In SD Style by Propeller Factory

Created by Japanese designer and modeler Seagull, from Propeller Factory website, this is the miniature paper model version in SD style (super deformed style) of the De Havilland "Airco" DH2. 

The Airco DH2 was a single-seat biplane fighter aircraft which operated during the First World War. It was the second design by aeronautical engineer Geoffrey de Havilland for Airco, based on his earlier DH.1 two-seater.

The prototype DH.2 made its first flight in July 1915, but it was lost during the following month, on its service trials on the Western Front.

The DH.2 was introduced to frontline service in February 1916 and became the first effectively armed British single-seat fighter.

O Airco DH2 era um caça biplano monoposto que operou durante a Primeira Guerra Mundial. Foi o segundo projeto do engenheiro aeronáutico Geoffrey de Havilland para a Airco, baseado em seu DH.1 anterior de dois lugares.

O protótipo do DH.2 fez seu primeiro vôo em julho de 1915, mas foi perdido no mês seguinte, em seus testes de serviço na Frente Ocidental.

O DH.2 foi introduzido no serviço de linha de frente em fevereiro de 1916 e se tornou o primeiro caça monoposto britânico efetivamente armado.

Christmas Time - Mini Christmas Tree Paper Model - by Max Factory

You will only need to print one sheet of paper to assemble your own miniature Christmas tree offered by Max Factory. 

The approximate scale is 1/12, as this model was originally meant to be used with Japan's famous Figma articulated figures.

Você precisará imprimir apenas uma folha de papel para montar sua própria árvore de Natal em miniatura oferecida pela Max Factory.

"Today I’m sharing a treasured item from my personal antique ephemera collection: Betty Bonnet’s Christmas Party! 

These vintage Christmas paper dolls were illustrated by Sheila Young and originally published in the Ladies Home Journal magazines in 1916 through 1917. These magazines were very large by today’s standards (almost 11″ x 17″!). 

Monthly issues were mostly filled with short stories, advertisements, sewing patterns for women and children, and every month there was a kids activity – often paper dolls. 

It’s usually difficult to find older issues with these activity pages included, because most children took them out of the magazine to cut up and use back at the time they were delivered." - Wendy Piersall - Founder and CEO of Woo Junior Kids Activities
